“Chayse was super responsive and was able to take a last minute request to check in on my kitten Maisie! Very flexible and communicative, would definitely book again in the future :)”

“Kendra was fantastic, she looked after our cat wonderfully and kept an eye on our house during her drop-in visits (even watered our plants after a hot/dry spell). Lots of cuddles and play with our furry boy; we will book her again!!”

Dogs have always been a big part of our lives. We both grew up with them and loved every moment of it. Over the years, we've shared our home with a basset hound, a bernese mountain dog, a toy poodle, a pug, and a polish lowland sheepdog, and trained them all ourselves. Each one had their own personality and temperament, and each one taught us something new! We're an active couple and genuinely love bringing dogs along for runs or long walks. We currently don't have a dog at home, so honestly, it would be such a pleasure to go on walks and runs with yours. Whether your pup is a couch potato or a bundle of energy, we will adapt and match their style. We both work from home most days, which means our days are pretty flexible. We can easily fit drop-in visits and dog walks into our routine without it feeling rushed. Whether it's a morning walk, a midday check-in, or an afternoon visit, we're able to adapt to your pet's schedule rather than the other way around! When we come to your home, our priority is making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable in their own space. We know that animals are always more relaxed in a familiar environment, so we follow their routines, respect their habits, and take the time to let shy or nervous pets warm up to us at their own pace. For dog walks, we stay attentive at all times. We keep an eye on body language, stay in safe areas, and make sure every outing is a good experience for your pup. Your home and your pet are in careful, caring hands!
“Having Ilya take care of our cat Chickpea for a few days was absolutely worth it. The experience from start to finish was top notch - Ilya is very responsive, accommodating, and clearly attuned to your pet’s care needs. Booking and reviewing Chickpea’s routine was super smooth, we received updates and pictures while we were gone, and we came back to a very happy little garbanzo bean. What more can you ask for? We would definitely trust Ilya with Chickpea’s care again in the future.”

“Alicia a été au top! Nous avons retrouvé notre chat en pleine forme et il semblait heureux de revoir Alicia lorsqu'elle est venue nous rendre les clefs. Elle envoie beaucouuup de photos durant ses visites, ce qui est toujours rassurant ! Merci Alicia!”

About: I have years of experience caring for dogs, from puppies to seniors. Growing up with dogs and cats, I developed a deep understanding of their needs. I've dog-sat for multiple families, ensuring their pets feel safe and loved. I’m attentive to each dog's unique personality, providing personalized care, walks, and playtime. If your dog needs a lot of activity, I would love to take them on a run or long walk. If they just need to relax, we can settle for a short walk and a movie day. Whether your dog needs extra attention or just a friendly companion, I am committed to giving them the best experience while you're away. I am available for weekend boarding for your pets or walks/visits after 4pm on weekdays (time may vary depending on the destination of your home). I live in a second story apartment with direct acccess to a backyard and to the street. Your pet will have plenty of room inside to play and run around.
About: Growing up, we would dog sit a lot for friends and family. My boy, Mac, passed last March. I am hoping to find some animal souls to befriend here in Montreal. It would be a privilege to get to know the creatures in my area. Just like your best bud, I enjoy long walks, treats, and cuddles. I work as an artist full time and I am generally making or reading at home. My schedule for the summer is extremely flexible but I must admit that I am a night owl. Furry creatures are welcome any time of the week. I live in a two bedroom apartment with my roommate and we have plenty of open space for a small creature. For larger lovelies, I am always happy to go on a long stroll around town. Having cared for my own dog, I know how to keep them safe and look out for any warnings signs of illness.

About: I am a senior student at McGill hoping to continue vet school after graduation. My crusty white dog is my best friend. I’ve had her for 12 years (since I was 9) and she has been there for all my major life experiences. Over these years my love for animals was not only confined to her, I have fostered multiple cats and dogs and rescued strays back home in Jordan. Currently, I have one dog and 8 stray cats that grew up in our loving home. They are provided with all the medical care they need and all the love and affection they deserve. I currently work part time, which gives me a flexible schedule during the week, especially in the evenings. I am generally available on weekends and can adjust my schedule when needed to accommodate pet care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and make sure pets are supervised, secure, and well cared for. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats through pet sitting, fostering, and caring for my own dog for the past 12 years. I have also looked after friends’ pets.
“We cannot recommend Rylan enough! With every visit, we received detailed updates and pictures. He perfectly matched our high energy cat who loves to play. He went the extra mile with his care, and even brought him a toy to keep on his last visit! We will be booking him for all our future travels ☺️🙏”

About: I started working with animals by volunteering at shelters in Mexico a few years ago, I caught the bug and have been working with shelter animals since. I have extensive knowledge surrounding dog behaviour (learned through work experience as well as courses and workshops), and handling various needs (health related, reactivity, predation, young dogs in need of lots of exercise and training...). I am currently unavailable on weekends due to work, but my weekday schedule is largely flexible and I can easily fit in walks and home visits :) Your pet's needs and safety come first! I'm very attentive to their body language and will adjust our visits according to their comfort and any specific care that you request. I love being active and will to everything I can to keep your pet entertained and happy while they're in my care.
“Amélie was on time and very at ease my puppy land shark! Addie loved her immediately and I. An tell she had a good time because she felt asleep so fast after her outing. Amelie was not concerned at all by the puppy biting stage and I really appreciated her help this morning! Thank You Amélie!”

About: I'm a lifelong animal lover, and whilst I have more experience with cats, I am also the go-to dog-sitter for my brother's two dogs whenever they need care or looking after! I have experience handling everything from feeding and walks to looking after them overnight. I treat every animal with the same love, patience, and undivided attention I would give my own pets! I have just moved to Montreal and am currently taking French classes to improve my language skills, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons between 1:30pm - 4:30pm. Otherwise, I have a lot of free time and am willing to be flexible to yours and your pet's schedule! I am currently in a sublet that has two indoor cats, so I wouldn't be able to care for pets in my own home. But I would be very happy to stay with your pet in your home and provide any care as needed! I am trustworthy and reliable, and I am truly doing this for the love of animals!

About: Hi! I am Maria and I’ve always had a huge soft spot for animals. I’ve been surrounded by them my whole life. Ive had two dogs (bichon frise, German shepherd), my uncle has a farm in which he raised all kind of animals. I’ve been far from home and far from my dogs for far too long, and I’ve been missing the feeling of taking care of them🥹 I’m currently a part time student during summer, but I’m pretty flexible any day of the week, especially during afternoons and early mornings, and anytime during the weekends! I live in an apartment, and I’ve always been surrounded by pets! I live next to a really nice walking area, where everywhere I go I find myself surrounded by pups and all kinds of cuties! So your pets will be in really good hands!💕

My dog Mika really enjoyed spending time with Lara! Her presence and care made Mika's time alone much easier and she was noticeably calmer when I came back home. Lara took the time to play and cuddle with Mika so she can spend her energy and just give her some good company. The whole experience was very smooth and stress free for me as well. I recommend Lara to anyone who wants their pet to be well taken care of in their absence

Brittany is the dream sitter for my Jacky! I couldn’t ask for anyone better. She comes to visit him twice a week when I’m at the office to keep him company and take him for walks. Brittany is reliable, always on time, responsive, and adapts very well to Jacky’s needs and little quirks. She has already built a wonderful bond with him. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a truly wonderful sitter for their pet! 🐾💕

Hailey is super attentive with the pets and very easy to communicate with. She sends photos and detailed descriptions of walks, food and their behaviour each day. It’s the second time we book with her and our pets are comfortable and at ease. Highly recommended and we will continue to book Hailey’s help whenever needed. Thanks again Hailey!

Emma is an awesome sitter! We traveled with our dog to Montreal for a concert, normally we would not take our pet but we were continuing from there and not returning home. We thought a few drop ins for walks, pee breaks and company would be enough but our dog started barking if we left him alone in the room. Emma was very flexible and was able to stay for the duration of the concert (6hrs) as well as a couple of additional stretches so we could go out. She literally saved our trip, we would not have been able to go without her! Emma is friendly, sociable, responsive and got along well with our pet. I would highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
