“Reliable, flexible and excellent with communication. Provides daily updates and pictures of the visit. She asks questions / feedback when unsure of something or if she thinks you might have a preference. She has accommodated my puppy solo while he is too young to be introduced to other dogs.”

About: i understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big deal, and i don’t take that lightly. after years of assisting my vet uncle i actually became a pro fraternity cleaner ! my goal is always to make sure your baby feels comfortable, happy, and cared for while giving you total peace of mind. expect lots of love, attention, playtime, high pitch voice and of course loads of TREATS! i’m available for boarding on tuesdays and all weekends usually a i am still a student but of course i am open to anything in case of urgent situations to accomodate you. i live in an apartment so i spend a lot walking time morning and night usually. i also train my dog daily and have a specific schedule for play time and rest time throughout the day. i have a lovely puppy ocho who loves hanging out with new friends ! he has plenty of toys and treats ready to be shared right away.
“Emma is so nice and my dog Darcy loves her! Wags her tail like crazy and waits by the door for her. Emma is very communicative and prompt. Will ask her again for sure!!!”

About: I have been around pets for a large amount of my life. Helping friends walk or play with their dogs or watching over their cats. I am currently home from university and have a very open schedule so I am free to pet sit or walk most of the week at limited advance notice. I ensure they are well fed, entertained and that dogs are taken out on walks regularly. I also make sure I can see them or know where they are and am careful about opening windows and doors.
“Highly recommend Dan & Andrew. Andrew who walked our dog Sybil was very understanding of her nature as a 5 month old puppy and went out of his way to send updates and let us know all was ok.”
About: I come from a long line of dog enthusiasts and lovers. Ive worked for multiple doggy daycare establishments . As well as growing up with at least 2 dogs in my house at all times. My grandmother has also been a dog breeder her entire life so I spent a fair amount of time taking care of her litters of puppy’s. So I have experience with dogs or all ages, breeds and sizes. I also have 2 dogs of my own! I currently work from home and am looking for something enjoyable to fill my time as I save money for future travels and experiences and hobbies! I live in lower Westmount on the edge of a large park with lots of open space to play and walk, as well as a dog park within the park which is a safe place I often take my own dogs to get some exercise and socialize. I am also an advocate for positive re enforcement instead of negative punishment for dogs when it comes to behavioural issues so no need to stress about your dogs well being when they’re with me!
“I just met Heather for the first time tonightI. She is so sweet and friendly and helpful. When she came back she even asked if there was anything else she could help me with because I just had a knee replacement… so far my experience on this website has been great and now have two great people to take care of my little man.”

“My goodness, Maire is truly exceptional. I have a very energetic Bernedoodle puppy, and she handles her with such patience, and ease. Ru absolutely adores her, and so do I. I recently had an unexpected emergency, and Maire stepped in without hesitation to care for Ru in my absence. That kind of reliability and heart means everything. She has the calmest, sweetest spirit, and you can genuinely feel how much she loves animals. I cannot recommend Maire highly enough. She is a gift. 🐶✨”

About: We are former dog foster parents and this experience has shaped our love for animals and our desire to give them a safe place to stay where they will be loved while you are away. What you (& your pup) can look forward to: - Two dedicated dog lovers who work from home and are excited to give your pup lots of love in the form of cuddles, play time and many walks. For the time they are with us they are a member of our family 😊 - I'll send daily photos & updates about your pup - We're happy to do a meet & greet with your dog to see if it's a good fit - We will take loving care of your dog based on the feeding, walking & medical instructions you give us - If your dog needs to take medication we have experience providing it - Long term stays welcome! - Our home has air conditioning For dogs with separation anxiety: right now we're doing doggy day care but not overnight boarding for dogs who can't be left alone. We like to go out on date nights ❤️ Dogs who do best solo: If your dog does not get along with other dogs I will make sure they are the only dog in the house. If your dog does well with other (well-behaved) dogs I occasionally host dogs from other families together so there is lots of playtime & socialization. I will always get your permission in advance before hosting any other dog in my home & will of course be prepared to separate them if they're not doing well together. But of course they usually have tons of fun. Parents of American bullies, pitbulls, bulldogs, pugs, and Boston Terriers: we love your dogs but unfortunately have had negative experiences with others that would make us non-ideal caregivers for them. We know every dog is different and we're sad that unfortunately have to decline these breeds. Thank you for trusting us with your animal best friend, when they are in our home we they're our animal best friend too! I know how important it is for you to find the right sitter for your dog, please feel free to ask questions and book a meet & greet to see if we're a fit. Thank you for reading 😊 Amy My partner and I both work fully remotely, me as a life & authenticity coach and him as a software engineer. As such, we have plenty of time to care for your fur babies! We are quite protective of the dogs in our care. They will only be let off leash in a closed & designated off-leash dog park (with your permission) or if you've indicated they're allowed off leash and we are careful when cooking not to leave something toxic to dogs (chocolate, onions etc.) in reach. You can even read about an incident in my reviews about a dog who we had to protect from an angry spontaneous physical attack from a stranger. We take the welfare of your dog very seriously.
About: We’ve always loved animals and have plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs, like regular sitting, attending dog schools in the past and taking care of more independent and protective breeds. We genuinely love having pets around and make sure they feel secure, love and happy while you’re away. We’re happy to provide regular updates and pictures to reassure that your dogs are in good hands ☺️🫶🏼 I work full-time with flexible hours, which means I can tailor my dog sitting schedule to meet your pet’s needs. I usually go to the office twice a week, but can be flexible with the days and time if needed. Though my boyfriend and I live in a small apartment with no yard, we're fortunate to be just steps away from a canal, a dog park, and a little park behind our building. This provides us with plenty of options to take your dog out for quick bathroom breaks or longer walks to enjoy the outdoors to ensure your dog will have access to fresh air and plenty of options to exercise 🐣
About: I have over 5 years of personal pet care experience and have been pet sitting for multiple friends with pet care over the past year. I helped feed the cats, change water, clean the litter box and give any other treats or play time requested. I am currently home full time and am available for pet care and responsibilities. I love animals and hope to be able to help others take care of the while they are away. I am available for most weekdays and weekends! I have a safe clean apartment that is safe for pets to visit. In clients homes I am respectful and clean any messes that their pets make.

“Eve is amazing! She spent lots of time with my girl playing and having fun. She took extra care to point out a scratch (which was already there!) just in case, which to me showed how much she cares. She shared lots of great pics too :) highly recommend!”

About: Ma golden retriever, Paloma, est mon bébé depuis quatre ans maintenant.
“Our dog Gustave is a bit anxious and shy with people but the day he met Amelie he clearly took a liking to her. I can see him getting more comfortable with her and she has asked questions to make sure his needs are met. She has also been responsive and timely when taking Gustave for walks.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Westmount
Sara was amazing! She took such good care of our dog Bobo, taking him for a walk and making sure he was properly fed and hydrated. Our dog has separation anxiety but she made sure to make him comfortable and at ease. We highly recommend Sara and look forward to engaging her again when we visit Montreal next. Thank you Sara!

She was absolutely fantastic with my dog! From the moment they met, it was clear that she has a special gift with animals. She is kind, patient, and genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. My dog adored her and always came back happy and well cared for. She kept me updated and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker.

Regina was amazing!! She was such a big help while one of us was travelling to walk Sadie daily. Sadie even seems to be better on walks post being with Regina. She was very attentive to the things we were currently teaching Sadie and continue that on her daily walks and there has been such an improvement. Will definitely be booking again :)

John and Pascal were EXCEPTIONAL. They took great care of Tobby, doing morning walks while I was away on a week-long business trip, thus giving some valuable time back to my wife who could then take our daughter to school without rushing and worrying about the dog. I received updates each morning, including pictures and a complete report on each walk! John was also highly empathetic and responsive to my last-minute worries and requests. I would highly recommend John and Pascal.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Westmount choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
