Doggy Day Care Saint-Laurent

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, taking care of them for friends, family, and neighbours for over 13 years. With me, your precious doggy will get: ✔️ a hypoallergenic home ✔️ home all day schedule ✔️ ground-level access to the outdoors ✔️ experience with senior dogs ✔️ so much love and cuddles ✔️ probably a free bath 🫧 Note: I’m allergic to cats, so I only care for dogs. Please check out my grooming requirements below! ☑️ All dogs MUST be bathed/wiped down and have their nails trimmed prior to their stay. For stays longer than 3 days, dogs MUST be fully groomed (shampoo, de-shed, hair cut). Please provide me with their favourite shampoo just in case they need a quick washup while staying with me (or if Burt’s Bees Tearless Puppy Shampoo works, that’s what I have on hand!), along with body wipes and their grooming accessories (glove, brush, tooth brush, etc.). ☑️ All dogs MUST be fully vaccinated; dewormed within the last year. ☑️ Please let me know if your dog has a history of leash reactivity, biting, aggression, and/or strong prey drive. Describe their dynamic and history of behaviour around other dogs, wild life, and small children. ☑️ Indicate if your dog sheds, if they have allergies to specific plants or food, has frequent potty accidents, and if they like to chew/swallow/destroy random things. ☑️ Provide a list of commands they respond to. ☑️ Provide all food (dry kibble, treats, and any wet and/or prepared meals) for the duration of their stay, + feeding bowls if that helps their transitions. ☑️ Please bring their carrier kennel and washed doggy bed. I often never use the crate, but it's an essential part of how I keep a safe, secure, and reliable environment for new dogs. I prefer having it close by for dogs who get especially timid when left alone, because I may step out to the grocery store, attend a yoga class, or fetch the mail. I will never be gone for more than 1.5 hours. 🏞️ Typical day with me: Wake up, belly rubs, speak to them in weird voices, feeding, take them on walks around the neighborhood and on shopping trips (whenever possible), use doggy as emotional support and cuddly foot warmer as I work on the computer (if that's their thing), feeding, and my all-time favourite doggy pastime: people watching at the park together. I work from home on a flex hours schedule— so I’m happy to accommodate your doggie at any time. I also live on the first floor of my condo complex. It is super dog-friendly around here, and the perfect place to take dogs for a healthy walk around the block or in the neighbourhood park. I keep my home clean, calm, and safe, and always make sure there’s nothing around that could be dangerous. I pay attention to a dog’s individual personality to make sure they're comfortable and cared for, whether that means extra playtime, lots of cuddles, or just giving them space to relax. I am happy to administer medication as long as I am guided on how to beforehand.

“Finnlay is a reactive rescue dog and yesterday was the 1st time he attended doggie daycare for 6 hours. I was nervous leaving him and how things would go but Steven put my mind at ease. I received a video and a photo of Finn. Steven even introduced Finn to his own dog and all went well. Finn is not keen on other dogs but it was all good. I was very impressed. I will book more time with Steven soon so Finn will feel comfortable when I eventually go away on vacation.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, so being around them just feels normal to me, not like a job. I grew up with a German Shepherd, and over the years I’ve also taken care of a friend’s Labrador and a dachshund, so I’m comfortable with all kinds of sizes and personalities. I recently went through puppy training classes with my own dog Logan, so I’ve got hands-on experience with puppies as well as senior dogs. I pay attention, I’m patient, and I genuinely enjoy the company. Dogs have always just been part of my day, so fitting care into my routine isn’t really a stretch for me. I’ve got time built in for walks and hanging out, and I’m easy to reach if plans need to shift. Happy to chat about what your dog’s used to so we can keep things familiar for them. I treat every dog like I’d want my own treated, because I’ve got one at home myself, my Mini Schnauzer Logan. Water’s always out, there’s a comfortable spot to settle in, and I keep an eye on how they’re doing, especially if we’re somewhere new. I’m attentive and calm.

Because I'm always home, I can also guarantee potty breaks every few hours and can easily maintain your pet's specific feeding or medication schedule. I understand the importance of routine for a happy pet. I will ensure your dog or cat receives reliable care and plenty of one-on-one attention from sunrise to sunset I live in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood, and my home is pet-friendly. With no children, I can offer a calm and stress-free environment for your pet. Our community has many beautiful parks, perfect for long, enjoyable walks. I am confident that your pet will feel safe, comfortable, and right at home with me.

About: Ive had pets around me my whole life. Whether it be my own pets or my neighbours, I cannot get enough of them. I try to be around animals as much as possible. I also do horseback riding so I really love all animals. I have a lot of experience with puppies and do not scare easy! I work from home so I spend most week days on my couch with my laptop and would love the extra company! I have a dog park nearby that’s normally empty and would love to get the extra exercise. My neighbourhood is quite dog friendly so an aggressive dog may not be the best fit here I would always make sure your pet is comfortable in my home and that he/she trusts me. I would never want an uncomfortable environment for either of us, and would contact you right away if that was the case.
