5+ YEAR EXPERIENCE IN FOSTERING
What makes me stand out is the experience I’ve had fostering dogs with FurBae Montreal, where I cared for rescue dogs coming from Qatar. I’ve had the chance to look after all kinds of dogs, big, small, young, older, and with very different personalities so I’ve learned how to adjust to what each dog needs pretty quickly. Some dogs needed a lot of patience and time to feel comfortable, while others were super energetic and just wanted to play and be active. That experience really taught me how to read their behavior and make them feel safe and cared for. I’m very hands on, attentive, and I genuinely enjoy building that trust with them. At the end of the day, I treat every dog like it’s my own and make sure they feel comfortable, whether it’s during a walk or while staying with me.

If ever you need someone for Doggy daycare, Bernalyn has great experience with different dogs. I have a very anxious small yappy dog and my dog is always so calm and happy with her. She gives updates and photos and is quick with her check ins. Definitely would recommend if you need someone reliable with your pup

Schedule
My schedule is very flexible, which makes me really available for dog walking and pet sitting throughout the day and on weekends. I work as a Pilates instructor and own a studio here in Montreal, and since I’m a freelance contractor, I’m able to manage my own hours. My studio is also very pet-friendly, so if a dog has separation anxiety or just does better being around people, I can easily bring them with me so they’re not left alone for long periods. It’s a calm, welcoming environment, and I always make sure the dogs I’m with are comfortable and well taken care of. Overall, I’m pretty adaptable and can work around different schedules depending on what works best for you and your pet.

Safety, trust & environment
I currently live in an apartment, but I also go back and forth to my family’s home in Dorval where we have two friendly female dogs. If your dog is comfortable being around other dogs, that can be a great environment for them with lots of space and a fenced backyard to enjoy. If not, my apartment is more than big enough to host your pet comfortably. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so there’s plenty of space for them to settle in. There’s also an open field right behind my building and a great park just down the street, which makes it easy to get them outside for walks and fresh air. I’m happy to adapt depending on what your dog is used to and what makes you feel most comfortable.
A typical day
I live in a very calm area with alot of parks around. A regular walk is around 30-45mins and with the park, I let the dogs roam around for 15-20 mins. Playing fetch and having then work for treats are also my specialty!
