“Ilya took amazing care of our home and our 2 cats Loki and Nyx. They stayed with our cats for 5 nights and gave us regular updates/pictures. I would highly recommend Ilya!”

About: I've worked with many puppies and dogs including my own. I love working with puppies and helping them learn new tricks, as well as older fur babies that like a slower pace. I currently work from home with a flexible schedule which means your pets can get lots of undivided attention, playtime and walks, and will never be unattended. I recently moved from Toronto to the Montreal region. I'm happy and excited to bring my services to a new community of pet lovers! I only offer house sitting and dog walking at the moment since I no longer have my own space, however I’m certain your pets will greatly appreciate being in an environment they are comfortable in and familiar with while you take a break! Looking forward to meeting you and your fur baby! 🤗 I promise you will get all the best pictures to send to friends and family!
“Irmak was a wonderful petsitter and housesitter! She was wonderful with our little dog Olive. She stayed in regular communication with us, which really set our minds at ease while we were away. She provided the best care and we're so happy to have found her! Thanks again!”

About: I love animals with my all heart, cats are my specialty but I love dogs - small or big. I'd love to get a big dog eventually, but I cannot give one the proper life and care right now. As a pet owner, you can trust that I will respect and honour your boundaries with your pets. I make sure my cats have daily playtime, and get the stimulation they need. They get treats to reward good behaviour, but not daily. I brush them weekly, trim their nails weekly and scoop the litter twice a day. For cats I make sure they feel secure with my presence - respect their territory and boundaries. I always ask the owners what are the house rules and what their personality like to better respond to their needs.
“Miao was absolutely amazing with Oreo, Moka and Jordan! She was incredibly accommodating, kept us updated with lots of pictures, took great care of all three pets, and left our home spotless. Oreo did great on his walks with her and all three of them looked happy and comfortable throughout the stay. She even stayed later when our return was delayed and was so kind about it. We would absolutely trust Miao with them again and are so happy to have found her! ❤️”

“Hope is an AMAZING pet sitter. She took incredible care of our dog and cat while we were away. It was evident through the pictures she sent throughout our trip that our animals were comfortable with her. They were often seen with their bellies in the air or on her lap. Additionally, they looked happy and healthy when we came home. We will absolutely book with Hope again. Thank you!”

“Exceptional. Heather is detailed, reliable, and completely responsible. I was away for five days without a single worry; she perfectly managed my cats' outdoor routine, making sure they were safe inside each night and getting plenty of attention. I came home to a spotless house and very happy cats. I can’t speak highly enough of her.”

“Amira was absolutely fantastic. Our moody chihuahua took to her right away and she did great giving our senior boxer all the meds he needed with a last minute injury. She kept him happy even when his activity was low. Pups loved her and can’t recommend her enough. Lovers of pictures and updates throughout our trip.”

“Met with Rylan for an hour a few days before i was scheduled to leave town for an overnight trip and things were excellent right from the start. He knows how to approach and take care of dogs, and in my case it was dealing with a grumpy large senior of 13+ years. He took note and listened well to all the detailed instructions and care that the dog needed. He kept me up to date with any issues that came up while i was away and was an excellent caregiver. Fully recommend and plan on using his services again in the future.”

I also speak english.

I nanny during the day for two hours 2-3 times a week so besides that I am completely free for any of your pet friendly needs! “Maha was absolutely wonderful with my kitten, Leo. This was my first time leaving him with a sitter, so I was a little nervous, but she made the entire experience completely stress free. She sent me photos and updates throughout the day without me even having to ask, which was so reassuring. It honestly felt like I was still there with him. Every picture showed how happy, comfortable, and relaxed he was with her. She was kind, patient, reliable, and clearly genuinely cares about animals. She even stayed a little longer when I was running late getting home, which I really appreciated. I came home to a very happy and relaxed kitten, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would trust Maha with Leo again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!”

“Jasper was a life saver! She was flexible in working with me for a last minute stay with my dog Ted, and took very good care of him, providing me with regular updates and pictures of their walks.”

“Ekaterina est géniale! Trouver quelqu'un de confiance pour garder un chien anxieux et réactif envers les étrangers peut être difficile, mais son expérience en comportement canin m'a beaucoup rassuré. C'est une vraie professionnelle, en plus d'être toujours sympathique :) Je la recommande chaudement.”

“Breanna was absolutely amazing. She was super attentive to our list of care specifications for Odis and took fantastic care of him. Our house was SPOTLESS when we got home. I highly recommend Her!!!!!”

I'm Andrea—a lifelong animal lover originally from a small town in Costa Rica, where I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, cows, pigs, goats, rabbits, and parrots. “Yiran took such good care of my very active dog for a week. We were communicated with daily with photos and videos and she was very responsive. She also treated our home very respectfully and it was so clean when we returned. We would definitely recommend her to anyone that is looking for a dog walker or pet/house sitter.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Saint-Laurent
Sarah was a godsend for me and my cat. She's well versed in cat behavior, and my shy cat came out of her shell and relaxed in Sarah's company. I was able to relax on my holiday knowing my cat is in good company. Sarah sent regular updates, took care of all of my cats needs and also went the extra mile to take care of my home in my absence. I would highly recommend Sarah, her energy is complimentary to cats' energies and she's a gentle and loving caregiver to cats. Would definitely rebook.

Absolutely amazing. She was so amazing with my puppy and super communicative! Received updates every morning afternoon and night along with images and videos. I felt so reassured and calm leaving my puppy with her after seeing how amazing she was with him and with all the updates I received. STRONGLY recommend! I will be using her again!

Angela looked after Cosmo and Neumos for the first part of our vacation. Despite her young age, she showed incredible maturity—she was polite, proactive, and always kept us in the loop with regular updates. She had no prior experience with a megaesophagus condition, but she stepped up to the challenge and managed his routine flawlessly. We highly recommend her!

Vladyslava was amazing! She stayed at our home for a week to watch our dog and cat. Our dog, Boba, is a very anxious pup, so it did take some time for her to adjust, but Vladyslava took the time to work with Boba and had many options to work with her. Boba did come around and had a great time going for walks and hanging out in the sunshine. Vladyslava left the home very clean and clearly respected our space. We will definitely have Vladyslava back again to watch our furbabies.

It was my first time using the app. Presley arrived on time and took care of my dog Tobby while I was away. I was very pleased to see that he was calm and didn’t seem anxious with her at our home. She kept me updated while I was away which I greatly appreciated. I look forward to having her come back in the near future:)

We were very happy that Nathalie was free to housesit our two dogs again. She is always responsible, reliable, and treats our space with respect. Our dogs love her! It makes our travel a lot more stress free knowing they’re in good hands. Would highly recommend her services!

I left my high energy 18mo at home with Brock for the day and it went superbly! Brock was super professional and great about meeting all my dog’s needs for boundaries and exercise. He has loads of experience with dogs and it shows. He was also very generous with treats so I know my girl had the best day ever. I will be booking Brock again on a regular basis for sure :) 100% recommend!

Megan is absolutely wonderful. We left our rescue who is not the easiest to care for with her over the holidays and felt completely at ease knowing she was experienced with reactive dogs. She sent us tons of photos every day, and left our apartment spotless. Would recommend her to anyone, she is a true gem. She was also flexible and able to stay longer when our flight home got canceled. So happy to have found her and will be booking her again without hesitation!
Sarah is a responsive and responsible sitter. We had flight cancellations that prevented us from making it home on time, and she graciously offered to extend the duration of her visits so we could rest assure our cats were OK. THANK YOU Sarah for making a stressful situation much less stressful! Our cats were happy and the apartment was as we left it!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Saint-Laurent on Rover is $45.21 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 1,115 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Saint-Laurent. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Saint-Laurent maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Saint-Laurent walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Saint-Laurent choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
