About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, ducks, and other pets with patience and love. I’m comfortable caring for senior pets who need extra attention, administering basic care, and understanding animal behavior and needs. I also have experience helping a mother cat during birth and caring for newborn kittens. Animals naturally feel safe around me, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I recently went back to studying, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. About: I love animals with my all heart, cats are my specialty but I love dogs - small or big. I'd love to get a big dog eventually, but I cannot give one the proper life and care right now. As a pet owner, you can trust that I will respect and honour your boundaries with your pets. I make sure my cats have daily playtime, and get the stimulation they need. They get treats to reward good behaviour, but not daily. I brush them weekly, trim their nails weekly and scoop the litter twice a day. For cats I make sure they feel secure with my presence - respect their territory and boundaries. I always ask the owners what are the house rules and what their personality like to better respond to their needs.

About: I’ve been around animals since I was five years old, and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. I grew up with two family dogs, and have lived with a cat for the past four years, giving me experience with both canine and feline companions and an appreciation for their different personalities and needs. When I was 17 and 18, I spent two years volunteering weekly at an animal rescue shelter in the UK. There, I walked dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and spent time socialising with and rehabilitating neglected cats and dogs with behavioural issues. I also helped cleaning up messes, feeding animals, as well as adminitering medications. This experience taught me patience, empathy, and how to ensure an animal feels safe and comfortable around an unfamiliar face. I moved to Montreal from the UK 4 years ago to pursue my PhD, and aim to spend time with animals regularly, since I cannot have pets of my own for the time being. Above all, I aim to provide companionship and a calming presence, treating every animal with the same love and respect I’d give my own. Whether your pet loves a good play session, a quiet cuddle, or just someone to keep them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for in your absence. I'm a PhD student, which means my schedule is extremely flexible, meaning I can work both weekends and weekdays, day or night. I am capable of working on my doctorate remotely at any time, and so can stay in places for prolonged periods. There may be times in which I will have to go to my lab in Cote des Neiges, however this is often no longer than 3-4 hours at a time, and I can provide fair warning if this were to occur. Having worked with animals with behavioural problems, I have learned that it is extremely important to provide a calm presence when meeting a cat or a dog for the first time. I take good care to ensure animals feel safe around me, and take things slow to allow them to acclimatise at their own pace, matching their energy and level of excitement. I can carry out all basic duties of pet care, including feeding, walking, playing, and potty breaks. I also have experience with more complicated duties, like administering medication, and walking dogs who cannot be around other dogs or children. I know my limits, and if at any point I feel that I am unable to provide what you require or that I am not a good fit for your pet, I will communicate that with you immediately.

J'ai également fait du dog sitting pour un chien âgé nécessitant une médication régulière. Je suis entièrement disponible cet été, pas de contraintes d'horaire, ce qui me permet d'être vraiment présente pour votre animal toute la journée. Promenades, jeux, câlins, repas, je m'adapte complètement à la routine de votre animal. Votre compagnon aura toute mon attention ! Pour les chiens, je me déplace directement chez vous, votre compagnon reste dans son environnement familier, ce qui réduit le stress et maintient sa routine. Pour les chats, je peux également les accueillir chez moi dans un espace calme et sécuritaire. Dans les deux cas, j'envoie des mises à jour et des photos régulièrement pour que vous soyez tranquille.
