“Théo took the time to meet my dog and I the day before our booking, and really goes above and beyond to provide loving care for the animal. I recommend Théo 100% and so does my pup!”

“Ana was absolutely wonderful, and we couldn't have asked for a better dog-sitting experience. From the moment we met her, it was clear how much she genuinely loves dogs and how experienced she is in caring for them. She has a natural way of interacting with dogs and a deep understanding of their needs, which made us feel completely comfortable leaving our 2.5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier in her care. One thing we especially appreciated was her attention to detail and communication. She always checked with us making decisions related to our dog's care, even for small things (such as which treats to give, etc). Knowing that she took the time to confirm details gave us a great deal of confidence and peace of mind. Ana also kept us updated throughout the day with lots of photos and videos. Since we're not very used to leaving our dog with a sitter, those updates meant so much to us and helped us feel reassured that he was happy and well cared for. Most importantly, our dog seemed to have an amazing day with her. It was obvious that he had a lot of fun and received plenty of attention and care. We would wholeheartedly recommend Ana to anyone looking for a caring, knowledgeable, and trustworthy dog sitter. We would be thrilled to book with her again in the future. Thank you so much, Ana! 🐾”

“Émilie was great with Norm, reliably communicative, very friendly, and left my place in very good shape. I will definitely be looking to her for help with Norm in the future!”

“Karen was so sweet! Took great care of my dog, constantly sent pics and updates, and when we returned from our vacation, our home was spotless! Will definitely book her again. Thanks Karen!”

“Sarah was great! I would highly recommend her. We have a new puppy and Sarah did a fabulous job looking after her. I know it’s harder to watch a puppy and she did it happily! We are going to have Sarah stay with our dogs again!”

About: Hello! My name is Shu. I am an experienced pet sitter for dogs, cats, and bunnies! I have lived with them all (at one point all at the same time) my whole life and currently I have a corgi at home. She is very friendly to anything she sees. She is also spayed so it is ok that yours is not fixed. I am currently working at home doing freelancing so it allows me to keep an eye on your fur babies at all times and take them for a walk as frequent as they need. At where I live we have a dog park just right downstairs of my apartment so your fur babies would always have some friends to hangout with. I would prefer small/medium sized fur babies but open to sit them in your home if you prefer.
“We had a fantastic experience with Valentina! She took such great care of our pets—lots of playtime, attention, and love. It was clear they were comfortable and happy with her. She also went above and beyond around the house, keeping everything tidy and even helping out with our backyard plants. Valentina kept us updated throughout our trip with regular pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind about both the pets and the house. Highly recommend her and would absolutely book again!”

“Junya did an excellent job taking care of my 3 year old border collie, while I was on vacation. She spent 11 days dog and house sitting. I came back home with my dog happy and healthy. As well as with my house being well maintained and respected. Thank you so much!!”

Ten years ago I adopted a 3-month-old puppy from a shelter, and he turned out to be anxious and reactive around other dogs and people. Working through that taught me to read canine body language and adjust my approach to fit each dog's comfort level — a skill I now bring to every dog I sit for. What I offer: Puppies — house-training, socialization, building good habits from day one Anxious or reactive dogs — spotting stress signals early and keeping things calm and predictable Senior dogs — patience, gentle pacing, and comfort with medication routines I treat every dog as an individual, not a one-size-fits-all routine — that's the difference ten years of hands-on experience makes. I recently moved back to Quebec after almost ten years in Australia and had to leave my own dog behind with his dad. Caring for other dogs would do me a world of good. Walking is my favorite thing, and nothing beats it with a four-legged friend by my side — pure relaxation and pure happiness. I'd build regular walks and check-ins into my week, giving each dog the attention and consistency they're used to. I follow the owner's instructions to the letter — they know their pet's needs better than anyone. Whether it's feeding schedules, walk routines, medication, or specific quirks and preferences, I stick closely to what's been asked so the dog's routine stays as consistent and stress-free as possible, whether I'm caring for them in my home or theirs.
About: I’ve lived with, and enjoyed the companion of dogs and cats my entire life. My very first job was dog walking where I became acquainted with all different breeds. Since then, I’ve gained further experience with training and have pet-sat many a four legged friend. I have experience administrating medication, and am happy to accommodate your pup’s specific needs. In addition, I also welcome any four-legged clients who struggle with reactivity on walks. I work remotely, and am thus able to accommodate most needs and schedules. This includes (but is not limited) to those midday potty breaks, or extra snuggles. Contact me any time of the week for pet care. I am available to pet-sit in your home or mine. I live in close proximity to Mont-Royal where I will walk your pup. No other pets reside in my home, so your fur-baby will be my only priority.
“Yiran took such good care of my very active dog for a week. We were communicated with daily with photos and videos and she was very responsive. She also treated our home very respectfully and it was so clean when we returned. We would definitely recommend her to anyone that is looking for a dog walker or pet/house sitter.”

About: I have had dogs my entire life, and have loved animals since I was a little girl! I used to want to be a vet, but then I realized there’s too much sadness in that job so I decided to be a musician instead. I am a great fit for pet sitting because I will treat your pet like my own. I will provide many cuddles and play as your pet would like, and we can go on as many walks as possible! I am a trustworthy and responsible young woman with lots of energy for fun! I am a freelancer, meaning I can honestly work around your schedule. I’m not picky about when you need me, more so just how much notice I have! I can devote my full day to taking care of your pet :) I live in a no smoking, no yelling, pet friendly environment. My house is super cozy, and my two roommates and animal lovers! I will make sure your pet has the best care possible, and you can trust I will keep them safe and loved as if they were my own.
About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs and cats through long-term house sitting as well as throughout my personal life. Over the years, friends, family, and homeowners have trusted me to care for their pets while they traveled, including extended stays in Australia, New York, and Las Vegas. In Australia, I cared for a Poodle and a cat for one month while staying in the owners’ home. In New York, I looked after a Dogo Argentino for one month. In Las Vegas, I completed two additional long-term house sits: one for a month with a Chihuahua and a large Golden Retriever, and another for four weeks caring for two medium-sized dogs—a mixed breed and a Poodle. Beyond house sitting, I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life. I grew up with breeds of all sizes, from Weimaraner's to Poodles, and have also cared for Cocker Spaniels, Schnauzers, and many mixed breeds. Friends, family, and roommates regularly trusted me to care for their dogs while they were away, often for a week or longer. I’ve also fostered rescue dogs until they found loving permanent homes. I’m comfortable adapting to each pet’s unique personality and routine, and I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being while keeping owners updated throughout their stay. I work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide pets with plenty of attention throughout the day. I can easily adapt to your pet’s routine, whether they need walks, playtime, feeding, medication reminders, or simply companionship. I’m available on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays with advance notice. I live in a spacious 5½ apartment that provides a quiet, comfortable, and pet-friendly environment. One of the bedrooms is rarely used, giving pets extra space to relax if they prefer a quieter area. The apartment has built-in air conditioning to keep pets comfortable year-round, as well as a large private back terrace where they can safely enjoy fresh air and sunshine between potty breaks. I’m just a 3-minute walk from Parc La Fontaine, making it easy to provide regular walks, exercise, and plenty of outdoors. I always follow each pet’s routine and the owner’s instructions to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home during their stay.
About: Hi! I’m Noemie – a passionate traveler and animal lover. I’ve been vegan for over 8 years because I deeply care about the planet, its ecosystems, and all living creatures. When it comes to house and pet sitting, I always go above and beyond. While I’m not regularly on this platform, I bring a wealth of experience from various parts of the world. Over a two-year period, I cared for guests’ pets at the pet-friendly hotel where I worked in Jasper, Alberta, while they were off skiing or hiking in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I’ve also lived for two months at an animal sanctuary in Costa Rica, where I looked after rescued farm animals like pigs, goats, horses, chickens, as well as dogs and cats. During my year-long van trip across New Zealand, I continued pet sitting — caring for cats, dogs, and even a hedgehog! I’m comfortable with animals of all ages, breeds, energy levels, and special needs. Whether your pet is high-maintenance or prefers a quieter pace, they’ll be my top priority — and I promise they’ll have a great time with me. I love pet sitting because it gives me the chance to spend quality time with animals, which I miss when I’m not traveling. I enjoy discovering new places and getting to live like a local while caring for someone’s home and furry companions. All of my past experiences have been incredibly positive. I’d be happy to hop on a video call to answer any questions you might have! Looking forward to meeting you and your beloved pet. 🐾 Warmly, Noemie I’m currently working full time from 6am-2pm. So I’m available for afternoon walks or visiting your fur-friend at their home until evening. Also, I’m free the whole weekend :) I am willing to take your dog at his usual dog park or just for a walk, whatever it’s best for him/her. My place is clean and safe for your pet, I’m living by myself so there is no animals/child in a non-smoking place.
About: I've worked with many puppies and dogs including my own. I love working with puppies and helping them learn new tricks, as well as older fur babies that like a slower pace. I currently work from home with a flexible schedule which means your pets can get lots of undivided attention, playtime and walks, and will never be unattended. I recently moved from Toronto to the Montreal region. I'm happy and excited to bring my services to a new community of pet lovers! I only offer house sitting and dog walking at the moment since I no longer have my own space, however I’m certain your pets will greatly appreciate being in an environment they are comfortable in and familiar with while you take a break! Looking forward to meeting you and your fur baby! 🤗 I promise you will get all the best pictures to send to friends and family!
“Angela looked after Cosmo and Neumos for the first part of our vacation. Despite her young age, she showed incredible maturity—she was polite, proactive, and always kept us in the loop with regular updates. She had no prior experience with a megaesophagus condition, but she stepped up to the challenge and managed his routine flawlessly. We highly recommend her!”

Couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter. Understanding, accommodating and helpful and always kept me updated on how my babies were doing! Very easy to work with and very responsive. My shy cat Muffin loved her — that should tell you enough! Very grateful 🩵

I truly can’t recommend her enough! She took care of our miniature schnauzer Rita for two weeks in our home, and she was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. She sent us daily updates, photos, and little details about Rita’s day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. You can genuinely tell how much she loves and cares about dogs. She treated Rita with so much love and attention, and I always felt like she was in the best hands possible. She also took wonderful care of our home, and we came back to a very happy and very loved little dog. 🐶💕 She was truly an angel, and I honestly think Rita might like her more than us now 😂❤️ We feel incredibly lucky to have found her and would trust her with Rita again without hesitation. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your dog as if they were her own, she is absolutely the person. 1000% recommend! 💗

Once again, absolutely perfect service from Rebecca!! I have complete faith in her ability to take care of my cat and bird while I'm away, she gives me peace of mind that not even one of my family members could give!! Would give 10 stars if I could. She is very kind with my pets and they love her too, and she sends lots of photo and video updates, which is so comforting. Will definitely like to book with her again 🥰

Mochi developed an ulcer on her eye just three days before Annie arrived, and she kept Mochi happy and healthy and gave her lots of medication (eye drops + pills) and attention. We are truly happy with Annie and recommend her to everyone!

Anna took wonderful care of our 5-year-old tabby while staying in our home. She was reliable, trustworthy, and attentive, keeping us updated each day with photos and messages. We felt completely at ease knowing our tabby was in such good hands. Would book Anna again without hesitation and highly recommend her. So glad we found her—she’s a gem!

Jazmine provided absolute peace of mind while we were away! She stayed overnight at our place and took incredible care of our pet. We received regular photo updates, the communication was flawless. Our pet was completely relaxed and happy when we returned. We highly recommend her services and will absolutely book again.

I couldn't be happier with Sara's service. She was incredibly sweet and attentive to our furry babies, taking perfect care of my sick ferret and his cat sister and sending daily updates. She made me feel calm being away from my sick baby. I definitely recommend her and will book with her again if she's available 😊

Maha is a great communicator and I felt very at ease having her watch my scaredy cat. Sent lots of pictures and gave me lots of updates and went above and beyond keeping the space clean for when we got home! Thank you for taking out the genie trash! Definitely hiring again and again!

We were in a pet friendly hotel in downtown Montreal to attend a wedding and needed someone to care for our anxious Havanese 7 year old pup. McKenzie was amazing with Chewie and took fantastic care of him. She did a super job in creating a calm atmosphere for him to settle - I highly recommend her if your dog has separation anxiety. She was also available on short notice and was able to stay late into the night. We really appreciated the photos and regular updates she sent. Couldn’t have been more pleased!!!!

Giovanna is the best! She stayed at my place overnight to look after my dogs while I was away and honestly I couldn’t have asked for better. She kept sending me pics and updates the, which made me feel so much better about leaving them. Super responsible, sweet, and caring. Came back to two happy, relaxed pups.. couldn’t be happier! 100% calling her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Longueuil on Rover is $46.62 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 1,113 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Longueuil. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Longueuil maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Longueuil walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Longueuil choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
