Pet care experience

The short and sweet dog walker

I'm a short and sweet professional artist with lots of time, flexibility and affection for pets. I adopted my first ever dog, a boston terrier, when I was 20 years old with my sister (we were sharing an apartment at the time). We had no idea what we were getting into and worked hard to train him and give hime everything he needed to be healthy and happy. Of course, we made mistakes along the way, but he never lacked love and attention. Years later, even after my sister moved out with our pup's full custody, I was the only one who had authority on him when he was throwing a tantrum and barking at the neighbours. Consistency and firm commands were my best allies. In the following years, many of my friends and family trusted me with their pets when going away on holidays. I've immensely enjoyed those staycations, taking care of furry friends in their own space and tending to their needs. I am now moving to a more professional setting and working on establishing the same trust with my new clients.

Safety, trust & environment

My living situation doesn't allow me to take care of pets at home for now. I am very mobile in the city and will happily visit your neck of the woods. I understand it can be peculiar to welcome a stranger into your home to care for your precious companion. I offer a meet and greet free of charge in a neutral location (park, coffee shop, library) beforehand. You can then choose to go forward with my services or not with no strings attached. I also offer house sitting services for longer periods of time.

I truly can’t recommend her enough! She took care of our miniature schnauzer Rita for two weeks in our home, and she was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. She sent us daily updates, photos, and little details about Rita’s day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. You can genuinely tell how much she loves and cares about dogs. She treated Rita with so much love and attention, and I always felt like she was in the best hands possible. She also took wonderful care of our home, and we came back to a very happy and very loved little dog. 🐶💕 She was truly an angel, and I honestly think Rita might like her more than us now 😂❤️ We feel incredibly lucky to have found her and would trust her with Rita again without hesitation. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your dog as if they were her own, she is absolutely the person. 1000% recommend! 💗

Dog Walking • May 14, 2026

Catherine walked Zelda for the first time today, and I had a great experience. She kindly took the time to do a meet and greet with us earlier this week, which immediately made me feel comfortable having her care for Zelda. She was very kind, sweet, and patient with Zelda, and kept me updated with pictures and information during their time together. It was clear Zelda was in good hands. I would definitely recommend Catherine to others looking for a caring and reliable walker!

[EN] Catherine took care of Ernest, my German Shepherd, and everything went perfectly. Ernest can be intimidating to some people, but Catherine handled him with confidence and calm. She is very active and athletic, making her perfect for dogs who need plenty of exercise. She is experienced, highly organized, reliable, and energetic. You can truly feel how much she cares about animals and their well-being. I would trust her without hesitation.

Schedule

As written above, I am a professional artist and therefore self employed. My schedule varies from project to project and I am very flexible with my time. Between the gym, the coffee shop and the studio, I can swing by your place for a long walk with the dog or sit with your cat for a few hours while I answer emails. Plus, I enjoy cycling all year round so it's a treat to get to bike to your house and back to give belly scratches.

I love to know about your habits with your dog. The best is to adhere to those to give them a sense of consistency even if their humans are not around. What do you usually do to exercise? When do they eat? Do you have special commands that you'd like them to practice? Regarding their behavior, it's important for me to know how your pup typically reacts to strangers and to other dogs on walks so I can adapt my own behavior. Any other information about their personality, their reactions or their triggers is greatly appreciated. Help me get to know them!
