“Awesome! Vladimir is a petsitting professional! This was the first time we left our 4.5 month old puppy with someone else and it was perfect. Our puppy didn’t want to come home!! :) Highly satisfied with the service!”

“Thank you for taking care of Peach, Lea! Lea was very accommodating with our last minute request to board Peach for the day, as well as responsive. Plenty of pictures and Peach seemed like she had a great day :)”

“Sarah K is truly wonderful. From the first day Sarah and family took care of our dog, it was clear how loving and attentive they are. They took such kind, thoughtful care of our dog, and we were especially touched by how quickly our very anxious pup felt comfortable in their home. Their experience as long-time dog owners, especially with dogs who have special needs, gave us complete peace of mind. We knew our dog's need to feel safe and secure would be understood and respected, and they absolutely delivered. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. 10/10 would recommend!”

About: Hello! My name is Shu. I am an experienced pet sitter for dogs, cats, and bunnies! I have lived with them all (at one point all at the same time) my whole life and currently I have a corgi at home. She is very friendly to anything she sees. She is also spayed so it is ok that yours is not fixed. I am currently working at home doing freelancing so it allows me to keep an eye on your fur babies at all times and take them for a walk as frequent as they need. At where I live we have a dog park just right downstairs of my apartment so your fur babies would always have some friends to hangout with. I would prefer small/medium sized fur babies but open to sit them in your home if you prefer.
“Arianne is one of the best dog carers out there! Cinnamon is prone to anxiety but she comes home happy and relaxed—which speaks volumes for us. Arianne is so lovingly gentle and patient, yet firm in sticking to instructions and keeping Cinnie safe, healthy, and happy. A great balance. Beyond the care itself, Arianne is communicative, punctual, and sends cute photos and updates throughout. We’ve been working with her for about 6 months now and absolutely love her quality of service! Highly recommend!”

About: Bonjour !

Merci encore”

“I had a great experience with Daniela! She took excellent care of my dog and kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while i was away. My dog looked happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for.”

“Margaux was fantastic - this was my first time using Rover and she made it a great experience. My four month old puppy had never spent the day with anyone and, being recently vaccinated, didn't have much exposure to dogs. Margaux made sure to slowly and gently introduce her dog to my puppy during the course of our Meet and Greet (which was longer and more thorough than I could have ever hoped for). On the day of the daycare, she let me know that my puppy was comfortable and having a good time and when her schedule suddenly shifted, she provided a choice of suitable alternatives and followed through as promised. I would both recommend and rebook with Margaux in the future.”

“Margot has been absolutely fantastic with Link. She always makes sure he’s comfortable and properly socialised with any other dogs she’s taking care of that day. Her love for dogs is clear and she has the skills to match. Margo is also very communicative and keeps us up-to-date with information and pictures throughout the day. Taking the boy on many walks and making sure he’s properly loved. It’s become a second home for Link, and we couldn’t be happier.”

“Meg was super flexible and accommodating! We were looking for a sitter on the same day and she not only accepted our request but also took such a good care for Ollie. She was communicative and updated with a pic which I always appreciate! Highly recommend her :)”

“Sara is amazing! My partner and I were in Montreal for a conference and didn't account for not being able to bring our boy boba with us to local places as this is a somewhat different attitude in the states regarding dogs in public places. Sara took our request immediately, asked for our routine and preferences, and kept us updated the entire time she had our pup. She was responsible, responsive, and very caring with Boba. We would not hesitate to have her take care of our baby again.”

Laura was so great with our dog Opal! We were traveling in Montreal and wanted a day without our dog to go on a tour, and Laura was very accommodating. We got pictures right away of her settling into her pack, and she communicated with me right away if I had questions. Great visit!

My dog has pretty bad separation anxiety, so leaving him with someone new is always stressful — for both of us. Amani clearly understands separation anxiety and took such great care to make him feel comfortable and secure. He took to her faster than I expected, and I could tell he genuinely felt safe with her. He came home happy and worn out from a fun, fulfilling day. Such a relief to know he’s in loving hands! Will definitely be booking again!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's leash and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalized care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Longueuil commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in QC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
