I am currently attending Language School, the classes are 1-4pm in downtown. Apart from that I work only, which gives me a lot of freedom in regards to time. I love to take longer walks, and it's even more fun with some furry companion. I also enjoy playing with cats and dogs - it's so much fun to know their unique characters. One thing is for sure: There is no cat or dog like another.

A typical day
In general, I am a very flexible person. Over the past months, I really loved to adapt to the schedule of what the pet is used to. That often means starting the day a morning walk, followed by breakfast - for the pets and me. Later saving some time to pet and play with the furry cuties, brush them if that's part of their routine. In general, my goal is to make sure they have enough stimulation and also relaxation, so that they are comfortable. I also live taking pictures of pets - so if you like to have some visual greetings from your loved ones, while you are away, I happily provide them.

Pet care experience
Over the past 7 months, I got the opportunity to do +14 housesits all over the beautiful city of Montreal, taking care of cats and dogs (and a lizzard and a rat). I truly enjoy getting to know all the different and unique characters. 🐾 Some couldn't wait to go for walks - others loved a little encouragement to keep going. From tiny dogs to a 55kg/120lb good boy. The youngest dog just turned 1 year, the oldest 15, the oldest cat 21 years old. 🥹 I am also amazed by the variety of beauty of all the different cats I got to know. Through this variety of pets, I also gained experience in giving cats and dogs supplements and medication (oral and in-ear). On my past travels I also helped a family in Pakistan with their cows and goats, and a family in Wadi Rum, Jordan, to feed their camels. It was such a beautiful experience - though I wouldn't say I am ready to care of them all by myself. 😄🐐🐪 I also took care of some puppies and kittens in the past. I am aware that this is a (rewarding) full time job. So I could only agree on that after having talked about the situation in detail.

Last Christmas, Janina stayed at our home and took care of our cat while we were in Germany. We first met her a few days beforehand at a café nearby, and then showed her around the house. Our very first meeting was incredible. We immediately connected on so many levels and ended up talking for hours about life. Janina is an open-minded, intelligent, and curious person who radiates a genuine smile and appreciation for the wonders of life. She has a wonderfully optimistic outlook and seems to move through life with ease and positivity. She took excellent care of our cat. She sent us regular updates and photos, which made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She also built a lovely connection with our cat, Olivine, which meant a lot to us while we were in Germany. From the very first day we met her, it was obvious that Janina has a special touch with cats. She instinctively gives them the time and space they need to feel comfortable and trust her. Everything was absolutely impeccable. We wouldn't hesitate for a second to have Janina stay with Olivine again, and we wholeheartedly recommend her.
From the moment I met Janina I knew she'd be a perfect fit as a pet sitter. She is very mindful of how each animal is different, and has a way of interacting and speaking with animals that shows great care, kindness and awareness. My cat often loses a little weight while I'm away and that is to be expected, however when I got back she was her normal healthy weight and self, and I knew she had felt relaxed while Janina stayed with her. Janina also had to give my cat medication twice a day and I felt comfortable that it was all in good hands. My home was also clean and perfectly tidy upon my return. Thanks so much Janina!
Janina did an excellent job taking care of Peanut. She was communicative throughout, sent regular updates, and left the house spotless upon my return. Peanut clearly had a great time with her, and I would highly recommend Janina to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!
