“Chayse took very good care of my cat Mouchou. She was also Housesitting and kept my place very clean. When I returned, Mouchou was in good spirits which tell me that she was well cared for! I would highly recommend Chayse as a pet/house sitter.”

En: Growing up with dogs since I was 7 years old taught me the true meaning of commitment to an animal. For me, a pet is a full-fledged family member. Throughout my life, I have been 100% involved in the training and overall well-being of my dogs: from their feeding, baths, and daily walks, to vet visits, medication administration, and providing loving care through their senior years. Additionally, through self-teaching and a lot of patience, I trained my last dog to be very obedient, teaching him commands like sit, bark on command, and fetch objects. En: Today in Canada, I am fully dedicated to caring for pets. In the morning, I attend school, and then I spend the rest of the afternoon and evening at home. I live with my partner, who also loves animals very much, which means there is almost always an attentive presence at home. Our schedule is ideal for pets that are used to spending a few quiet hours alone in the morning. As soon as I return in the afternoon, I devote myself entirely to them for their walks, playtime, and all the attention they need. Availability for walks, daycare and drop-in visits: • Monday to Friday: 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM • Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. En: I offer a family-friendly, safe, and loving environment, whether at my home or directly at yours. I always adapt to your pet's specific needs and their exercise, feeding, and rest routines. For your peace of mind, I send regular updates with photos and videos during every visit or walk. Additionally, since I get around by bike or on foot in my neighborhood (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and the surrounding areas), I guarantee excellent punctuality for every appointment.

About: Love caring for animals, experienced with senior, shy and spicy cats too! I can’t walk your dog and I can house sit when you’re away! Available on hourly or daily basis including weekends/overnight stay. I am a graduate student and I can provide care after 4 pm or before 9 am. I can feed, walk or play with your dog/cat. I can also do light grooming, cleaning their food bowls and clean the litter. I first let them get used to me.
“This was our first time with Harrison and it won’t be our last. We could see that our dog Yahtzee was extremely well taken care of. Harrison is a gem! We totally recommend him.”

About: Hi! I’m a dependable and attentive dog sitter who grew up around dogs, had a family Jack Russell–Shih Tzu cross, and have fostered and cared for dogs on several occasions. My partner and I both work from home with very flexible schedules, so we’re able to give your dog plenty of attention throughout the day. We also live near the canal and a large park, and a small off-leash area, with lots of opportunities for walks and outdoor time. I’ve cared for a variety of breeds, including Goldendoodles, Corgis, a Belgian Malinois puppy, and a Standard Schnauzer, so I’m comfortable adapting to different personalities, energy levels, and routines. My goal is to help every dog feel comfortable, safe, and at home. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your dog and provide them with a safe, happy home away from home. My partner and I work from home with very flexible schedules, so your dog will rarely be left alone and will receive plenty of attention, walks, and care throughout the day. Flexible drop-off and pick-up times are available whenever possible. Available on weekdays and weekends. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, smoke-free home and follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax while you’re away.

“Absolutely amazing. She was so amazing with my puppy and super communicative! Received updates every morning afternoon and night along with images and videos. I felt so reassured and calm leaving my puppy with her after seeing how amazing she was with him and with all the updates I received. STRONGLY recommend! I will be using her again!”

About: I bring experience as both a foster and a dedicated caretaker, giving me a deep understanding of dogs at every life stage. I can happily match a puppy’s playful energy, while also being patient and gentle with a lovely frosty-faced senior—giving them the time and space to sniff, explore, and simply be their best selves. My goal is always to provide comfort, consistency, and care that lets each animal feel safe, loved, and understood. UPDATE: Currently best to book in advance so I can keep that time for you. I work in a creative field on a contract basis, which gives me a flexible schedule. This allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine, making time for walks, play, feeding, and any other needs throughout the day. For now, I can come to your place for visits or take your dog out for walks. I make sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable in their own space, and I’ll follow any routines or little quirks that keep them feeling at home
“Junya did an excellent job taking care of my 3 year old border collie, while I was on vacation. She spent 11 days dog and house sitting. I came back home with my dog happy and healthy. As well as with my house being well maintained and respected. Thank you so much!!”

“Mariane took great care of our two dogs and cat while we were away for 11 days! She sent photos and checked in with us. A couple of our neighborhood friends saw our girls out for a walk with Mariane and let me know how patient she was with them! We felt they were in great hands. She also left our place in great condition upon our return. We had a great experience and recommend her services!”

“Yiran was super reliable and kept us apprised everyday with updates and pics over a two-week trip. She left our home cleaner than when she arrived. And my dog was so sad to not have her around anymore. If you want someone responsible who will look after your fur baby as your own, look no further!”

“Ekaterina was an absolutely wonderful house sitter! She was kind, communicative, and clearly cared about taking good care of my fur baby. I wouldn’t ever hesitate to book her again. Thank you so much for taking away all stress about caring for my little girl while I was travelling!”

“Such a pleasant and easy experience with Savannah. Very impressed with her professionalism, positive quiet energy, excellent care for my dog not to mention she left the house spotless. Will hire again. Highly recommend”

“Maha was absolutely wonderful with my kitten, Leo. This was my first time leaving him with a sitter, so I was a little nervous, but she made the entire experience completely stress free. She sent me photos and updates throughout the day without me even having to ask, which was so reassuring. It honestly felt like I was still there with him. Every picture showed how happy, comfortable, and relaxed he was with her. She was kind, patient, reliable, and clearly genuinely cares about animals. She even stayed a little longer when I was running late getting home, which I really appreciated. I came home to a very happy and relaxed kitten, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would trust Maha with Leo again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!”

“Ilya watched our one year old husky rescue, Raclette, for three days at our apartment while we were out of town and did a fantastic job. They were patient and kind with Raclette who can be a bit of a handful and great at following our routine and care instructions. We were reassured by the frequent updates and pics and Raclette seemed to really bond easily with Ilya. Ilya also left our place nice and clean. Would definitely hire Ilya again!”

Sarah was a godsend for me and my cat. She's well versed in cat behavior, and my shy cat came out of her shell and relaxed in Sarah's company. I was able to relax on my holiday knowing my cat is in good company. Sarah sent regular updates, took care of all of my cats needs and also went the extra mile to take care of my home in my absence. I would highly recommend Sarah, her energy is complimentary to cats' energies and she's a gentle and loving caregiver to cats. Would definitely rebook.

Absolutely amazing. She was so amazing with my puppy and super communicative! Received updates every morning afternoon and night along with images and videos. I felt so reassured and calm leaving my puppy with her after seeing how amazing she was with him and with all the updates I received. STRONGLY recommend! I will be using her again!

Angela looked after Cosmo and Neumos for the first part of our vacation. Despite her young age, she showed incredible maturity—she was polite, proactive, and always kept us in the loop with regular updates. She had no prior experience with a megaesophagus condition, but she stepped up to the challenge and managed his routine flawlessly. We highly recommend her!

Mehak was wonderful dogsitter for our 17 year old Heidi! Mehak was great with her, taking her for several walks each day, as well as playing and just chilling with her. She sent us daily updates with photos over the 10 days she took care of Heidi. Mehak was also very respectful of our home, bringing her own food, cleaning up, and leaving the house spotless. Wish she wasn't moving, otherwise we would have zero reservation about using Meehak again!

Vladyslava was amazing! She stayed at our home for a week to watch our dog and cat. Our dog, Boba, is a very anxious pup, so it did take some time for her to adjust, but Vladyslava took the time to work with Boba and had many options to work with her. Boba did come around and had a great time going for walks and hanging out in the sunshine. Vladyslava left the home very clean and clearly respected our space. We will definitely have Vladyslava back again to watch our furbabies.

Megan is absolutely wonderful. We left our rescue who is not the easiest to care for with her over the holidays and felt completely at ease knowing she was experienced with reactive dogs. She sent us tons of photos every day, and left our apartment spotless. Would recommend her to anyone, she is a true gem. She was also flexible and able to stay longer when our flight home got canceled. So happy to have found her and will be booking her again without hesitation!
Sarah is a responsive and responsible sitter. We had flight cancellations that prevented us from making it home on time, and she graciously offered to extend the duration of her visits so we could rest assure our cats were OK. THANK YOU Sarah for making a stressful situation much less stressful! Our cats were happy and the apartment was as we left it!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Côte-Saint-Luc on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Côte-Saint-Luc maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Côte-Saint-Luc walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Côte-Saint-Luc choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
