About: Hello Everyone: My name is Meagan and I have owned animals for a majority of my life. I have owned several different breeds of dogs and have had cats all of my life. I have personally trained all of my dogs and know what it takes to ensure your fur baby is happy and healthy. I am also a registered early childhood educator; families trust me with their children, so you can trust me with your furry friends. I currently have two dogs and one cat. Jewels is my 10 year old spaniel mix; Pëpé is my 11 year old chihuahua, and Verne is my 3 year old cat. Since I have a child, two dogs and cat, meet and greets are mandatory. The reason I want to take up walking/care taking dogs and cats is to be more active, and give some freedom and relaxation to other dog owners who need it. I have a fenced yard, and animals are free to roam the upper level of my house. The cat has the basement to himself . Your dog's must be leash trained and don't pull. I am unable to watch dogs that have seperation anxiety. I am at home full time right now. The longest I am away from the house is 2.5 hours. My goal is to open a huge pet sitting location so that I can offer more services to those in need. My service prices depend on your needs. Base prices are yard outings only. If your dog needs long walks, my prices will go up to include 30 minutes or 60 minute walks. I let them have access to water at all times and will play with them. There is a baby here, so the dogs can stay around her if they are good with babies.

I have 12 years of experience with my own dog and have worked through reactivity, anxiety, fear of noises, and leash pulling using positive reinforcement. I have worked with multiple trainers over the years and have spent a lot of time learning about dog behaviour and psychology, which has shaped how I care for animals today. I pay close attention to body language and subtle cues like freezing, yawning, or disengaging. When a dog seems overwhelmed, I focus on helping them feel safe and settled by creating space, choosing calmer routes or environments, or redirecting them toward something grounding. With shy or nervous dogs, I always let them approach on their own terms and give them the freedom to take breaks or step away when needed. I also believe in balancing physical and mental stimulation. Along with fulfilling walks, I enjoy incorporating enrichment like sniffing games, confidence-building activities, and gentle training. These activities work well for high-energy dogs and can also help more nervous or shy dogs feel comfortable and confident. I have experience caring for large and small dogs, puppies, and senior dogs, as well as administering medication including pills, liquids, topical treatments, and ear drops. I also like to spend quality time with them giving them belly rubs and and behind-the-ear scratches. I also look out for their safety by keeping things that might be dangerous out of reach as well as checking in on them frequently to make sure they are doing well :)
