“J’ai eu une excellente expérience avec Audrey comme gardienne pour mon chien. Elle a fait preuve d’un grand professionnalisme, de douceur et d’attention. On sent immédiatement qu’elle aime les animaux, et mon chien s’est rapidement attaché à elle. À mon retour, mon chien était heureux, en confiance et visiblement très bien traité. Je recommande Audrey sans hésitation à toute personne qui cherche quelqu’un de fiable et attentionné pour s’occuper de son animal.”

About: I worked as a professional dog groomer for almost 10 years and also have experience working at a dog daycare, so I’m comfortable handling everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs, as well as small and large breeds. I have a small Pomeranian named Brie. She is 2 years old, weighs 2.5 kg, and is full of energy! She absolutely loves playing with other dogs and is the center of my world. Because of her, I truly understand how important it is to find someone you can completely trust to care for your pet. I work from home, so your dog will have plenty of company throughout the day and will rarely be left alone. If I ever need to step out, it’s only for a short errand, and I always make sure your dog is safe and comfortable. Every dog has their own routine, and I believe it’s important to keep them as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I carefully follow all the instructions you provide, from feeding schedules and medication (if needed) to potty breaks, playtime, and walking routines. Whether your dog prefers several short walks throughout the day or longer adventures, I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs. I live just minutes from Angrignon Park, which is a wonderful place for enriching walks, fresh air, and plenty of new sights and smells for dogs who enjoy exploring. I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. My goal is to provide exceptional care for your dog and complete peace of mind for you. Because I work from home, dogs in my care receive plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day and are rarely left alone. I also believe in keeping each dog as comfortable as possible by following the their routine, from feeding schedules and medications (if needed) to walks, playtime, and rest. “Pedro and his wife were beyond phenomenal when dog sitting for us! Do not hesitate for a second, these are wonderful people and sitters. We were in MTL for a few days with our 2 dogs and we’re nervous about leaving them with a sitter in a city they didn’t know. When we met the couple our dogs immediately warmed up to them and were happy to let them walk them as we talked. Flint usually takes a little while to warm up but was immediately drawn to the pair ? We came to cycle in the city, they gave us incredible local recommendations on where to go and where to eat. While we were out they took the dogs on a 3 hour hike through Mt. Royal. The dogs barely wanted to leave when we came to pick them up. Both because they were so happy and because they were pooched from all the exercise! I wish there was a 6th star to rate this exceptional experience. They went above and beyond for us and our dogs and we are so grateful to have met them.”
“Youki est tres heureuse avec Kara, Gabrielle et Finn. Et nous avons entièrement confiance en elles! Le fait que Finn soit à l’aise avec Youki nous a confirmé qu’elle était au bon endroit!”

About: I have loved and cared for animals since I was a child. Growing up, I had experience caring for many different kinds of animals, including cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, geese, silkworms, butterflies, ants, and mantises. Because of this, I learned early how to observe animals carefully, understand their needs, and be patient and gentle with different personalities. What sets me apart is my lifelong love for animals and my attention to detail. I understand that every pet has its own routine, comfort level, and personality. Some pets need space, some need extra attention, and some simply need a calm, clean, and safe environment. I’m happy to follow each owner’s instructions carefully and provide feeding, fresh water, playtime, litter box cleaning, walks, companionship, and photo updates. I will care for your pet with patience, respect, and genuine love, just like I would care for my own. I’m also very attentive to animal body language and behavior. I pay close attention to their signals, habits, comfort level, and boundaries. I understand that animals communicate in subtle ways, through posture, movement, sounds, energy, and routine changes. This helps me respond gently and appropriately, whether a pet needs space, reassurance, playtime, or extra care. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I spend a lot of time at home and can provide regular attention throughout the day. I’m available for feeding, fresh water, playtime, litter box cleaning, photo updates, and gentle companionship. I’m also flexible with each pet’s routine and will follow the owner’s instructions carefully. In my home, I provide a calm, clean, and cat-friendly environment. We have experience caring for cats, and our home has litter boxes, cat toys, scratching posts, cat trees, cozy resting areas, and food and water bowls. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and respected. I understand that every pet has a different personality, so I give shy cats space and offer attention to cats who enjoy company. I keep the litter area clean, follow feeding instructions carefully, and send photo updates so owners can feel reassured while they are away. In a client’s home, I will respect their space, follow their instructions, keep everything tidy, and make sure their pet has fresh water, food, a clean litter box, and calm companionship.
“Alessia & Giovanni were great! We needed some day-sitting and luckily they were able to accommodate our last minute request. Lexi was always excited to go over in the morning so we know she loved hanging out with them during the day. We will definitely use them again!”

“Katherine s’est très bien occupé de notre petit Peanut. Nous avons régulièrement reçu des photos et elle a été très disponible pour toutes nos questions. Je la recommande fortement”

“Netra and Julian are amazing dog sitters. They took their time to get to know our dog. Our dog can be anxious when left alone but they were very patient with him and did their best to comfort him. They went for a long walk, played pet him when necessary! Your dog is in very good care with this lovely couple.”

“Rojina was a wonderful caregiver for my german shepherd, Greta. She was diligent in collecting all the information she needed, including emergency vet numbers and contacts. Greta came home tired and happy every day, and I received lots of pictures and videos daily so I could see what they were up to. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rojina for any pet, and I hope to book with her again.”

“Cristina was amazing with Yuki! He has separation anxiety and normally howls when I leave, but with Cristina he was completely relaxed and didn’t howl once — a first for him! He was comfortable enough to lie down beside her, and they went on some nice walks together. Cristina was patient, attentive, and made Yuki feel comfortable right away. I felt very reassured leaving him with her and would definitely book with her again. Highly recommended!”

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in QC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
