Marlowe is an 11-year-old pug with mobility problems and a complicated medication schedule, and she arrived only days after a veterinary emergency; unsettled, temporarily off one of her usual medications and not eating normally. This was a demanding assignment, yet they handled it with patience, kindness and extraordinary attention to detail. They followed her medication instructions carefully, obtained her usual pill pockets when she resisted taking them, adapted her meals until she began eating, took her outside as often as her condition allowed and cared for her through disrupted nights. Their communication was outstanding: regular, detailed and completely candid updates about her medication, appetite, bathroom habits, mobility and mood, along with lovely photos. They asked exactly the right questions, noticed small changes and never minimized or concealed anything. Importantly, I always felt Marlowe was safe, closely watched and genuinely cared for. Eugene and Arina went far beyond ordinary dog sitting and handled a difficult first stay with warmth, responsibility and good humour. I returned to a happy little dog. About: I was a foster dog mom for long periods of time. When someone around me gets a new dog, I’m the person they call for help and advice. I have taken care of multiple dogs at a time. I used to live in a community where dogs roamed everywhere and my house was one of their favourite hang out spots. They loved visiting my dog and I, as they knew they would get treats. I would sit and talk to them. I have a lot of patience and I believe that dogs deserve to live their best life, so I try my best to give them a lot of attention and love. I currently work in insurance full time during the week. My job is mostly remote and it is flexible so I could step away from my computer and go on a walk in the middle of my shift. I also occasionally work on the weekends at a respite center for people that have intellectual disability. I treat client’s homes with respect. I make sure that there is nothing unsafe laying around and that they have all that they need. If their pet stays with me, I once again make sure that the environment is safe. My house is always quiet unless the dogs are playing with each other. I don’t have a staircase so it’s easy for the dogs to roam around. I have a big crate if necessary but most of the time the crate is unused.

About: J’ai toujours eu des chiens dans ma vie et je suis aujourd’hui l’heureuse propriétaire de Yoshi, un adorable Bichon Havanais de 2 ans qui adore la compagnie des autres chiens. Je me suis occupée de nombreux chiens au fil des années, autant les miens que ceux de ma famille et de mes amis. Depuis que j’ai Yoshi, je fais moi-même appel à des gardiens sur Rover lors de déplacements ou événements, notamment parce qu’il souffre d’anxiété de séparation. J’ai donc eu envie d’offrir à mon tour un environnement chaleureux et attentionné à d’autres chiens. Je travaille en mode hybride et, grâce à mon horaire flexible, il y a toujours quelqu'un à la maison. Votre chien bénéficiera donc de beaucoup de présence, d’attention et de câlins pendant son séjour. J'ai une grande cour clôturée et j'habites dans un quartier tranquille, avec plusieurs endroits parfaits pour de belles promenades.
