“She was so kind and communicative. I received daily updates and photos about my dog, and she kept my boy happy and active. I would truly recommend her and I will definitely be asking her for her services again :).”

“Geneviève was very nice. At the dropp off She took time to hear everything I had to tell about Mr. Lucky. She understood all my concerns and even let me take my time to pas my dog to her arm since it was a hard time for me to do so. She kept sending pictures from them having fun and keeping updated. And even at the pick up she gave me a detailed report of how he behaved and if I want to have a sitter next time whats better to do and not to do. She is definitely a nice soul I could see my dog already made a connection to 🩷”

“Alejandra is by far the best sitter I’ve hired to date. Her communication and updates were wonderful with many pictures. She took such good care of my dog Nico. I was really happy with her care and will be making her my regular as she’s really trustworthy. Nico was so happy throughout his stay with Alejandra.”

“Chanel has been an amazing sitter for our puppy Theo! She has been easy to communicate with from start to end, sending us daily pictures of him, which allowed us to travel with ease. I could not recommend a better puppy sitter!”

“Vivianne and her family were just the perfect fit for my Mia. She was very well taken care of and kept sending updates with pictures without me asking. They sincerely cared for Mia and it showed. I would highly recommend vivianne to others as it was the best experience from communication to careing to the amount the charge.”

“Merci beaucoup à Sarah et son conjoint pour avoir pris si bien soin de notre chien pendant une semaine en suivant les instructions les plus petites. Merci pour vos mise à jour à chaque jour avec des photos et vidéos. On vous la recommande fortement!”

“Louisa is one in a million! Best dog sitter I have ever booked for Sherlock. She provides a loving home, care and is the most amazing fur auntie I ever could have hoped for. Sherlock is happy and not upset or stressed in going to her for the 2nd time. Dogs know who they love and accept and how they will be treated and they show that with their nature. Thank you Louisa for take such good care and for loving Sherlock and for the daily pictures and videos.”

“Tout s’est parfaitement passé avec Noé. Une excellente communication et flexible dans les horaires. Noé a su s’adapter aux besoins de notre Chanel durant sont séjour. Merci!”

“Laila was wonderful!!! She picked up ralph from our venue on my wedding day, took care of him and brought him. Safely home. Additionally, she was flexible as we ran a bit late in the ceremony and adjusted. She is a pearl, very responsive, understanding and kind. There was a lot of moving parts in our wedding plan and because of her I didn't have to worry about it and it was stress-free. Thank you for that and taking care of Ralph.”

“Charlie (my dog) and Chewy (Donny's dog) are now close friends! The entire experience from reception all the way to pick up was enjoyable. Donny and his wife were welcoming and considerate. The were responsive and communicative throughout the entire procss. We were constantly updated with Charlie's status. They were also flexible with our timing. I will definitely use their services in the future.”

“Very responsive. Our dog was clearly so well treated with their family. So grateful to have someone take care of our pup. She was quite ‘pooched’ when we got her back. Knowing our dog she must have been having an absolute blast with the stay. Often she comes home to us and is… cantankerous because we have more rules. They clearly took great care of my dog not just in terms of keeping her happy but with structure as well. It’s important!”

“Millie is a great sitter! I recommend her without hesitation. She takes her job very seriously, taking time to get to know your pet and adapt her care accordingly. Our dog Bruno stayed 14 days with her, Millie took the time to always keep us informed about Bruno’s activities and wellbeing.”

“Julia was such a great sitter. Very diligent and kind. She sent photos and updates daily and I could tell my dog was totally feeling at home. Just the perfect sitter. She was knowledgeable and so at ease from first meeting. Punctual and great communication. The entire experience was pleasant and smooth. You can rest assured leaving your pet with her. Thank you Julia”

“Our dog has a bit of separation anxiety but at Steven's he is the first to enter with excitement and can spend the night over without a problem! :) Our dog loves to be there always, which only shows how well he is treated whenever he is there.”

“I had to book Tiago and Sarah last minute for a month and they graciously took in Stella for me. They sent me lots of photos and made sure my girl was happy! Looks like she had a lot of fun with their two pugs and she got lots of attention and affection. Would recommend anybody who needs a longer term babysitting for their pet :)”

“Encore une superbe expérience avec Victoria ! Notre Lewis a été choyé et beaucoup aimé durant ces 10 jours. Victoria est flexible, nous donne beaucoup de nouvelles et pleine de bonne volonté ! On recommande vivement”

Vlada was wonderful with Tank. She was caring and very communicative, sent a lot of pics without having to ask! Tank seemed completely comfortable with her and I know she took very good care of him. As a protective mama bear, I know it takes a lot out of us to leave our precious pups in somebody else’s hand, so believe me when I say I do recommend Vlada as a sitter!

Delilah was well cared for staying with Dan while I was away. I knew she was in great hands! Dan was super kind & communicative and sent photos/updates during her stay. Delilah can be an anxious pup, but I could tell she was comfortable with Dan. I would gladly book again! :)

Avery took great care of my energetic 18mo dog for the day! She clearly knew how to help my dog settle in her apartment, and pays close attention to her body language and her needs :) I'm very happy to have found her and I'll continue to trust her to take care of my dog going forward :)

Erica was very professional in caring for our senior dog, Bradley. Having to engage her services within the same week, she took time to meet Bradley be coming over to make sure he’s comfortable with her. She sent reassuring photos and even handled Bradley’s issues adjusting in spending the night at her place really well. Very communicative. Highly recommended.

We couldn’t be happier with Tyson’s stay. Lisa took excellent care of him and kept us updated with photos from time to time, which we truly appreciated. As always, Tyson came back happy, calm, and clearly well looked after. It means a lot knowing he’s in such caring hands. Thank you so much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
