“Anh and her family took great care of our dog Fiji. They treated her with love and sent me constant updates throughout the day. Will definitely leave Fiji with them again.”

“We love her. She gained my dog’s attention and trust easily. She send us pictures, videos and updates frequently without asking for them; she spoils our dog and our dog was happy and loved!! 🤩 very grateful, totally recommend it. This was our first time and definitely we will come back!!”

“Sam was really well taken care of. We found him to be less anxious than usual, really calm and happy with Lin and Jing. Would definitely send him to stay with them again! Thank you so much Lin and Jing!”

“Vivianne and her family were just the perfect fit for my Mia. She was very well taken care of and kept sending updates with pictures without me asking. They sincerely cared for Mia and it showed. I would highly recommend vivianne to others as it was the best experience from communication to careing to the amount the charge.”

About: I absolutely love all animals and have been caring for my Bernese mountain dog, Walter, for 5 years now. It would be my pleasure to also care for yours while you are away. Any size or age are welcomed. As long as your dog is comfortable and friendly around another dog, cat and kid. :) We will have a blast! I am available for house visits from 9am-3pm on week days and your dog is welcomed in our home for a house stay anytime throughout the week. Schedules to be determined. I work part time from home and have lots of time for walks, dog park visits (if wanted), play and cuddles. On the weekends, we love to go hiking in nature. I have a fenced backyard with lawn. I also have a friendly male 5 year old Bernese Mountain dog who would love the company. We have an elderly cat as well and a 8 year old daughter. So it is important that your dog is friendly with others animals and kids.
“Nomida est une personne exceptionnelle, profondément attentionnée et digne d’une confiance absolue. Elle ne se contente pas de s’occuper d’eux, elle les aime sincèrement, comme s’ils faisaient partie de sa propre famille. Grâce à elle, je suis partie l’esprit tranquille, sachant que mes chiens sont non seulement en sécurité, mais entourés d’affection et d’attention. Elle est une personne pour qui j’éprouve une immense gratitude.”

“Russell and their family took such fantastic care of our dogs for an extended stay (3+ weeks). We received daily photos and videos, and in them could see how happy our dogs were. They got multiple walks daily, and ran around in the backyard. As someone who has used multiple sitters and kennels, I think this has been one of the best experiences for our dogs. I would 100% recommend having Russell and family taking care of your fur babies; and will definitely use them again if we need dog sitting while in Montreal.”

“Claudine was everything you would want from a professional and an absolute dog lover. This being our first time with this service, she was great at putting us at ease with everything. She took wonderful care of our Kiba and we received so many wonderful updates that we felt like we weren’t apart from Kiba. Claudine’s care of kiba was 2nd to none. She was gentle with Kiba when he felt a little homesick and always kept his spirits high with wonderful walks and plays. I absolutely recommend Claudine 100% and will definitely be the first call I make when we need a sitter again. Thank you so much Claudine!!! :)”

“We're very happy to have found Graeme and Vicky for our senior dog, Zoe. She can get disoriented in new places and they were very attentive to her needs. We look forward to her future stay with them!”

“Melissa took amazing care of my 9-month-old puppy, Izzy, while I was out of town. Izzy has lots of energy and is still learning, but Melissa was so patient, attentive, and loving with her. She followed all of our care instructions perfectly and kept me updated with daily messages and adorable photos. I could tell Izzy felt totally comfortable and had a great time — she came home happy, tired (in the best way!), and clearly well cared for. It’s such a relief knowing I can count on someone so kind, reliable, and experienced. I’ll definitely be booking with Melissa again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic sitter!”

“My dog Buddy loves it so much and he feels like part of their family. We feel so safe and happy knowing he is so well cared for best couple to look after our fur baby’s! I cannot say enough good things and highly recommend them.”
“I left my dog Leila with Sondos for a long weekend. She obviously loves dogs and was really good with mine. I came home to a really happy dog who (while she was clearly excited to see me) seemed torn, it was almost as though she didn’t want to leave! You know you’ve found a good dog-sitter when! Leila is my baby and I would not leave her with just anybody. I felt comfortable leaving her with Sondos. She sent me photos and little updates of Leila throughout the stay. She took her on walks and to the park, introduced her to other dogs belonging to friends of hers and made a Leila feel at home in her condo ?? She was also very flexible and understanding when my schedule changed at the last minute. Very much appreciated. I will definitely be contacting her again the next time I am out of town!”
“Took well care of my dog that was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Brought him to the vet for follow up and gave me tips on how to continue to care for him.. thanks alot you were great help”

“Valérie est la gardienne préférée de Milo! Chaque fois que Milo se fait garder par Valérie, nous savons qu’il sera bien et il est toujours content lorsqu’il arrive, ce qui en dit beaucoup! De plus, il a souvent des amis alors il socialise et il adore cela! Je vous recommande fortement Valérie. Elle est disponible, très flexible et elle prend bien soin de ses pensionnaires. Merci beaucoup Valérie pour tes bons soins à notre petite bête poilue 😊”

“Soumaya and her family were able to accommodate Maizey Blue for a last minute booking, allowing us to caravan to a family funeral with peace of mind. When I picked her up, Maizey was happy to see me, but also would have been happy being left behind with all that extra love and attention. We will definitely reach out again in the future!”

“Chanel has been an amazing sitter for our puppy Theo! She has been easy to communicate with from start to end, sending us daily pictures of him, which allowed us to travel with ease. I could not recommend a better puppy sitter!”

“Barbara est la candidate parfaite pour garder votre chien. Ma petite Alélie a passé du bon temps avec elle. Elle a eue toute l’attention de Barbara et elle était très relaxe quand je l’ai récupéré.”

“What an amazing family! They were so good to Apollo. Loads of walks and sent me lovely pictures every day. A great backyard to play in as well! They accommodated me when my plane was late and I had to pick up really late. Apollo loved this family and had a brilliant time.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Dorval
Very happy with our stay, Patricia is a very good host. We left Coco for 7 nights and all was great. Patrica took care of him with his medication and the fussy eating. He’s back home and I can tell he was well taken care of. What a good feeling to know you can leave your animal in confidence and he will be well taking care of.

Amazing experience for our Teddy! Megan & Irene took such amazing care of our fur baby the week we were away on vacation. We got so many pictures and daily updates…I was very nervous leaving him, and within an hour of him being dropped off, we already got an update and Teddy had already made himself right at home. We truly could not have asked for a better situation. They respected all of our wishes when it came to taking care of our old guy, and we could not recommend them enough. Thank you so much and hopefully see you again 🫶🏻🥰

Valérie is amazing. She took such great care of my Maki and Layla. Especially for Maki, she catered to her medication needs and give her medication on time and made sure she had them all with flying colours (it can be tricky to give her oral medication). Appreciated her care for them.

Alexa was absolutely amazing with Gracie and Penny! From the daily photos to the consistent communication, we felt completely at ease while we were away. She is a true 'dog mom' who makes your pets feel like a part of her own family and right at home. I could not recommend her services enough—she truly went above and beyond for my girls!

Tanya took incredible care of our dog Drogo during his stay. She went above and beyond, sending us daily pictures and updates that made us feel completely at ease. Drogo unfortunately got sick while he was with her, and she handled the situation with so much calm, kindness, and adaptability. She kept us informed every step of the way and made sure he was comfortable and cared for. We’re truly grateful for her support, her patience, and the genuine affection she showed him. Drogo clearly bonded with her; he was already missing her the moment we left. We couldn’t have asked for a better dogsitter. Highly recommended.

Tyler and Angelica were amazing. Very kind to Rask and very accommodating. Great communication with frequent updates and pictures. They were very patient, attentive and caring with our dog. I appreciated their flexibility and would not hesitate to leave Rask with them again. An amazing and secure backyard with plenty of play space for energetic dogs or those who prefer to relax in the shade.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
