About: Hey, I’m Monica! I’m a lifelong dog lover who grew up with dogs and volunteered for years at a shelter, caring for pups of all sizes and temperaments. I’m active and happy to do long walks, but I also adapt to each dog’s routine so they feel comfortable at home. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine since I work from home with a flexible schedule. I’m able to give dogs plenty of attention throughout the day, keep up with walks, playtime, and feeding schedules, and make sure they’re not left alone for long. I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment in my home, sticking closely to each dog’s routine so they feel comfortable and at ease. In clients’ homes, I’m respectful of your space and follow all care instructions carefully

About: I’ve always loved the way dogs bring joy, personality, laughter, and comfort into everyday life. Caring for them comes naturally to me, and I put a lot of intention into making sure each dog feels safe, relaxed, and understood. I love creating a calm, comfortable space for dogs to settle in. I take the time to learn each dog’s routine, quirks, and comfort level so they can feel cared for and at ease. I’m patient, observant, and committed to following the guidelines you set so your dog feels right at home. Here’s what your dog can expect: • A peaceful, comfortable environment • Gentle attention and affection • Walks, playtime, and enrichment based on their energy level • Consistency with your rules and routines • Clear communication and regular updates My goal is for your dog to feel secure and happy — and for you to feel completely at ease while they’re with me. I work from home, so your dog will have company for most of the day. I’m around and attentive, which means plenty of companionship, playtime, and regular trips outside whenever they need a break. The only day I’m typically out of the house is Thursday, but I make sure pets in my care have everything they need before and after I’m gone. My home becomes your pet’s home while they’re here. Dogs are welcome to relax on the couch or curl up in bed—unless you prefer to keep those spaces off‑limits, in which case I’ll happily follow your rules. I also have a spacious backyard that’s mostly fenced, giving dogs room to explore and enjoy some fresh air. Plus, I live in a great area for walks, with several parks nearby and a couple of lovely dog parks for pups who enjoy social time and extra exercise.
About: Caring for pets has always been more than just a job for me—it’s a true privilege. With over 8 years of experience in rescuing and caring for dogs and cats, I’ve had the joy of working with pets of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, sitting, or simply giving them the love and attention they deserve, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I understand that each pet has unique needs, and I take pride in creating a safe, comfortable, and happy environment for them. Nothing brings me greater joy than seeing a wagging tail or hearing a happy purr—they’re family, too. I’m currently working part-time in our business, so I have plenty of time to play with and care for our beloved furry friends. I’m available Monday to Friday in the morning or afternoon, and on Saturday mornings until noon—ready to jump into action whenever needed! I live with my wife and our puppy in a cozy apartment where we can assure you plenty of love and entertainment for your furry buddy.
About: I've had pets my whole life and have taken care of family & friends pets when they're away for the better part of my adult life. I have always been passionate about animals! Also owned a pet boutique (grooming and supplies) for close to 5 years and have learned many skills along the way :) I am currently home full time and can go out for walks and other adventures to suit individual needs. I also have a latge fenced in yard that dogs can use freely. I have a large fenced in back yard, 2 dogs and 2 cats and live just a few minutes away from a large nature park!
“Hope has been wonderful with Loba! She walks my puppy twice a week and is always reliable, caring, and attentive. Loba is always happy to see her and comes back from walks content and well exercised. It’s clear Hope genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after, and I really appreciate the peace of mind she gives me. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind dog walker!”

“Melissa is amazing, my dog had the best time of his life. He was so exhausted everyday from so much playing. She also gave plenty of updates and was able to capture great photos of how happy he was in her care. Already planning our next booking! Thank you, it's clear you love what you do.”

About: Nous offrons un environnement sécuritaire et chaleureux où chaque chien est accueilli comme un membre de la famille. Nous avons eu un braque allemand pendant 8 ans, qui nous a malheureusement quitté il y a quelques mois. On s’ennuie vraiment.

About: Hi! My name is Brandes and I’m a dependable, caring, and active dog lover based in Montreal. I’ve spent years around dogs of different personalities and needs, including small companion breeds with anxiety, picky eating habits, and special routines. I follow a very structured and disciplined lifestyle and take animal care seriously. I understand how important consistency, patience, and trust are when caring for someone’s pet. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, gentle handling, or simply someone calm and reliable, I’m happy to help. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding routines, enrichment activities, and giving pets extra attention so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. I’m currently a student on summer break, which gives me a very flexible schedule and lots of availability for dog walking and pet care throughout the week. I’m able to accommodate daytime, evening, and weekend walks, and I enjoy building pet care into my daily routine because I genuinely like staying active and spending time with animals. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while following their normal routine as closely as possible. I carefully follow feeding, walking, and care instructions, and I adapt to each pet’s personality and needs, whether that’s playtime, exercise, or extra patience and reassurance.

About: I have taken care of dogs, bunnies, cats, for 10+ years. My strength has been in caring for animals with anxiety, nervousness, or shyness, and bringing them comfort and a positive environment. I am very good at reinforcing training for the young ones to provide them consistency and stability in their routine. I am gifted in reading animals and having a lot of patience, and a great passion for them. This allows me to connect with them really effectively and be able to create a safe and loving experience for your fur babies! Pet care fits really naturally into my routine. I work full‑time as an operations manager from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility during the day for walks, check‑ins, playtime, and just being present. I’m not rushing in and out between commitments—your pet gets real attention worked into my day, not squeezed in as an afterthought. I used to dog sit in my own home and absolutely loved it, but after moving, my landlord no longer allows pets. Continuing to care for animals in clients’ homes is my way of keeping that connection I genuinely miss. Spending time with pets is something I want to do, not just something I’m fitting in. Because my schedule is flexible, I can adapt to your pet’s needs—whether that’s midday walks, medication timing, extra companionship during the workday, or sticking closely to an established routine. It ends up feeling very natural and consistent for them, which I know makes a big difference. For me, pet care is a grounding, enjoyable part of my week—and for your pet, it means calm, reliable care from someone who truly enjoys being there! When I care for pets in your home, I treat it like it’s their space and their routine, not just a place I’m visiting. I stick closely to your instructions—feeding schedules, walk times, meds, house rules—so everything feels as normal as possible for them. I make sure they get plenty of attention, play, and comfort, whether that means active time or just being a calm, reassuring presence nearby. I’m respectful of your home, keep things clean and tidy, and always prioritize safety (doors secure, leashes on, food stored properly). I also love sending updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and feel totally at ease while you’re away. My goal is simple: your pet feels relaxed and well cared for, and you come home to a happy animal and a home just the way you left it.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was very 13, whether it be sitting for my aunt or walking my neighbours dogs. I also own a dog! He’s 4 years old. Dogs have always loved me and I’ve always had a deep and genuine love for them. I’m currently in school during the week however I have really big breaks during my day to spend with your puppies! I’m available every weeknight except for Tuesdays. I’m also available early morning on and in the afternoon and evening on Saturdays as well as all day on Sundays. I’m not currently offering boarding services however my dog at home is very well cared for! We go on daily walks and has lots of time during the day to run around in the backyard. He isn’t too fond of the dog park but I bring him every so often so socialize him with some other dogs!
“Rocio is amazing. So prompt, caring, positive attitude and genuinely cares for the health and well-being of her dogs. I can already tell Del really enjoys you and will have a great relationship together! I am so excited for this!”

“I just met Heather for the first time tonightI. She is so sweet and friendly and helpful. When she came back she even asked if there was anything else she could help me with because I just had a knee replacement… so far my experience on this website has been great and now have two great people to take care of my little man.”

“My goodness, Maire is truly exceptional. I have a very energetic Bernedoodle puppy, and she handles her with such patience, and ease. Ru absolutely adores her, and so do I. I recently had an unexpected emergency, and Maire stepped in without hesitation to care for Ru in my absence. That kind of reliability and heart means everything. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dorval choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
