Pet care experience

Real Love. Real Dog Care.

What truly sets me apart is a lifetime of hands-on experience with dogs in every stage of life. I grew up surrounded by dogs and have continued that journey into adulthood — raising my own puppies, rescuing pregnant dogs and caring for their litters, and now cherishing my two senior dogs. I understand firsthand the very different needs of energetic puppies, growing adolescents, and aging seniors who need extra patience and comfort. I also have formal training experience, including training a service dog, so I’m confident working on basic manners, reinforcing routines, and supporting any training you already have in place. Whether it’s leash skills, crate routines, or gentle structure for young pups, I’m happy to help keep things consistent. That said… I’m definitely a softie too. I believe dogs are family, and I don’t hold back on affection — cuddles, reassurance, and yes, sharing my bed too, I can't help it. I always adapt to your dog’s normal routine and your household rules, so their world feels safe, familiar, and stress-free while you’re away. No matter what, one thing is guaranteed: your dog will be loved like one of my own and showered with all the extra care, attention, and affection they all deserve. There is never a shortage of love around here!

Alexa was absolutely amazing with Gracie and Penny! From the daily photos to the consistent communication, we felt completely at ease while we were away. She is a true 'dog mom' who makes your pets feel like a part of her own family and right at home. I could not recommend her services enough—she truly went above and beyond for my girls!

We had Alexa watch our Frenchie for an entire week while we took vacation. He has separation anxiety so it was really assuring to know Alexa was home mostly with him and even slept together in her bed. She gave me daily photos and our doggie looked really happy. Wouldn’t use anyone else for our trips now. We were so relieved.

Alexa looked after my 10 year old english bulldog for a week and he had never been happier. She is a real "dog mom" and took great care of Hugo, even giving him a bath. I would highly reccomend her service!

Because I’m currently not working, I have a very flexible schedule and can easily adapt to your pet’s routine and needs. I’m easygoing, reliable, and my top priority is a happy, comfortable pet — and a happy pet parent, too! Spending time with all your dogs makes me happier than you can imagine.

Safety, trust & environment

I always tailor my care based on each dog’s personality, routine, and the service you choose. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Safety is always my number one priority, closely followed by making sure your dog has plenty of fun, attention, and affection. In my home, dogs become part of the family. We own our home, which allows me to fully control the environment and keep it calm, secure, and dog-friendly. They will never be unsupervised as I am always home with our dogs! We also have both a front and a backyard, giving dogs safe outdoor space for fresh air, play, and bathroom breaks. I’m very mindful about supervision, secure doors, and creating a setting where dogs can relax without stress. I keep your dog’s routine as close as possible to what they’re used to — feeding schedules, walk times, sleep habits, and any house rules you follow. If your dog is used to cuddling on the couch or even sleeping in the bed, I’m happy to continue that routine. I also make sure they have a quiet, cozy space to rest when they need downtime.

A typical day

A typical day with me is structured, active, and full of attention and love. Our day starts in the morning with a quick bathroom break in the yard, followed by breakfast. While the dogs eat, I plan out the day to make sure their needs, energy levels, and the weather are all taken into account. After breakfast, we head out for a walk to the park (about 30 minutes), where the dogs can enjoy sniffing, exploring, and off-leash play when appropriate. During colder days, I adjust the length of our outings to keep everyone comfortable and safe. When we get home, the dogs rest and warm up while I prepare my meals. They’re welcome to relax nearby in the kitchen, and yes — they often get a small, dog-safe snack during this time. After they’ve recharged, we have indoor playtime with toys and enrichment to help burn off energy and keep their minds engaged. Later in the day, we go out for a shorter midday walk and potty break. Back at home, I supervise free play and social time between the dogs while I tidy up and make sure everyone is happy and settled. Dinner is served around 5 PM, followed by our longest walk of the day — usually about an hour — unless the weather is too cold. We often walk along the Lachine Canal, which the dogs absolutely love for all the new smells and scenery. In the evening, we wind down with calm time at home. And believe it or not, I have found that the dogs love watching dog youtube before bed!

Before caring for your pet, it’s important for me to understand their specific needs and routines so I can make them feel as comfortable and safe as possible. Please let me know about: Any medications they take and how/when they should be given Whether they are crate trained (especially for overnight stays) Any allergies, sensitivities, or medical concerns What treats or snacks they are allowed (and any they should avoid) Whether they are allowed on furniture at home Their diet, portion sizes, and feeding schedule Their usual walking routine and energy level Any training cues, house rules, or behaviors I should be aware of The more I know about your dog’s normal routine, the easier it is for me to keep their stay stress-free, consistent, and happy.
