“Alissa was lovely to work with, even adding another day to the booking when some unforeseen circumstances arose. She was great with our cat, even despite his rather spicy personality. I have no complaints whatsoever! Thank you Alissa!”

“Stefanie was great! The pictures and updates reflected how very caring and attentive she was. We felt at ease knowing she was caring for Enzo. Stefanie also left Enzo's food and litter area very clean! We would definitely hire her again.”

“Heather has been great with both my large teenage puppy for walks as well as taking care of my cat when I'm away. Very happy with the regular timely photo updates with a personal touch and detail. She is quick to respond and accommodating when we've needed to change up or add dates needed for care :)”

“This was our second time booking with Lidiya, and we were just as happy as the first time. She is caring, reliable, and keeps us well updated. Knowing our cat is in such good hands gives us great peace of mind. Highly recommended!”

“Erin was super caring, friendly, and professional! This was our first time booking through Rover and our first time leaving our two cats for more than a couple days so I was very apprehensive but Erin was lovely, accommodating, and clear. My one cat is definitely a velcro cat who wants absolutely nothing to do with anyone but me and is very skittish and nervous, so she (very expectedly) hid under the bed for all of her visits, but Erin always made sure to still try her best to make her feel included and cared for in every visit :) Thanks again!”

About: I've been an animal lover and advocate my whole life, growing up in a house full of pets-dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, turtles, and any other animals I could surround myself with! I worked in a pet store while in school and had the opportunity to learn about all kinds of animals, and meet and play with the animals that customers regularly brought in. Friends, family, and colleagues have consistently relied on me to look after their dogs and cats, particularly after becoming the resident dog-cat-plant-housesitter of my graduate school department over 10 years ago. I still regularly take on dog walking and animal feeding (including frogs and fish:) responsibilities, and I'm now broadening my services by joining Rover! I've taken care of dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds (Labs, Doodles, Huskies, Dachshunds), and I have several years of experience with senior dogs and cats as well. I'm comfortable and confident handling more fragile animals, as well as administering medications (I have experience with insulin, Cartrophen, and Librela injections; and oral medications and supplements). I'm happy to help with young pups and kittens too, including any training, crating, feeding routines you may have! My experience with them is only less than seniors because they grow up so fast:) I'll always respect the routines you have in place for your animals and take care of them as though they were my own. I love walking around the neighbourhood, and enjoy it even more when a sweet animal can join me! Spending time with your pet in your own home is a wonderful option that I welcome as well! I work full time and am primarily available for evening and weekend care, though I can be flexible with early mornings and special requests! I work fairly regularly 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday, though my schedule can be flexible, so I'll update my availability accordingly. I'm generally in the neighbourhood over the weekend and would love to walk or spend time playing with or taking care of your furbaby anytime Saturday-Sunday! Feel free to reach out for any particular requests and I'll do my best to accommodate:) I'll accommodate whichever walking, backyard, or indoor requests you have, both on and off leash, rain or shine!. And, I'll do whatever I can to ensure your pet feels cared for, supported, and loved while you're away:)
“Shacelle took wonderful care of Kai and Emmy, was very sweet and accommodating, and gave the best updates. She took some of the best photos of the ladies I’ve ever seen, haha. Highly recommend her for your next sit :)”

About: In my family, we've always had pets. My last pet was a German Shepherd, who died of an illness. In my home country, I helped my neighbors take care of or walk their pets when they didn't have time or were traveling. With my family's pets, I usually cared for them after school or when they wanted to go out of town, so I was in charge of them while my family was away. I can administer oral or topical medication, but I don't give injections. If the pets have a special diet, I can prepare it and serve it to them. My experience ranges from small to large breeds. As such, I don't know how to train pets, but I have taught the pets I care for a few tricks. I can work part-time, although right now on vacation I can work much longer, It all depends on the availability you want and what things I have scheduled. Being in the client's home makes me feel safer for pets, so they'll be comfortable. Depending on the pet's personality, I know they'll have to get used to my presence, so there will initially be a familiarization process. I always ask my clients for a list of things the pet can and can't eat, and if they have food or insect allergies. Emergency contacts and veterinarian numbers. If you need help giving oral or topical medications, I can do that as long as they're not injections. From my own experience, I know that pets are more than that. I know they're family and very precious, so I care for my clients as if they were my own.
“Brittany was so easy to work with and very trustworthy. She was available last minute and even help when someone was unavailable last minute. She went above and beyond to support. We loved having her support our family”

“Jess was amazing with my dog Shadow. She made fun puzzle toys with him and played with him and he had a great time. She also sent me so many photos and videos. I really appreciated the thoroughness of her updates and how quickly she communicated with me. It makes me happy knowing my boy was having fun. I will definitely book again!”

About: Growing up I was surrounded by dogs! My family has always had a dog, and all of my friends families did as well. Now, when my friends go away I care for their dogs! During university I fostered several kittens, so I have experience taking care of them as well! I am a student that is taking only a few summer classes, so there is lots of room in my schedule for walks, boarding, and visits! I live with my partner who is also an animal lover & dog sitter/ walker with Rover. Our schedules are both very flexible, so your pet will get lots of love & attention! Our home is most suitable for small- medium sized dogs. There are several great parks within the neighbourhood that would be perfect for long walks!
About: I've taken care of dogs since the age of 15. Friends and relatives often used to ask me to take care of them while they were away, after some time I decided to be a dog sitter and groomer full time, I love this and would never change it. I'm available on Weekdays all the time and on Weekends as well! We can talk about scheduling in holidays depending on the situation and your pet. Currently I live in an house with a big fenced yard where your furry babies can go out anytime and have a sniff or playtime. My house is tought to be safe for animals, no wires or toxic substances to their reach. I treat each furry client like my own, always providing love and care at all times while sharing pictures and videos to the owner. Also all the pets will socialize along with my dog Moka.
“Joanna did an amazing job taking care of our cat while we were away for a week. We were a little concerned as this is the longest kitty’s been away from us. However, Joanna put our minds at ease with timely updates and pictures, and it was clear that kitty was happy and well-cared for. Highly recommend Joanna for anyone needing a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Ash did a drop in visit with my dog, Ziggy, when we were gone for the day. From the beginning, Ash was so approachable, had so many questions about caring for my Ziggy, and was super adaptable to his needs. Ziggy warmed up to her immediately! It helped that Ash brought treats for him. We will definitely book Ash again for drop in’s, walks, and overnight stays again.”

“Melanie was very fast to respond, friendly and professional. She followed all instructions and took great care of my cat, fish, and plants. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for drop in care, and I will definitely be contacting her in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - London
Heather is the best! She’s been our go-to person to check on our 3 cats whenever we go away for a couple years now. If we’re out of town for more than a day or so, Heather has always been available to come over and check on everyone. She has been reliable, punctual, and easy to communicate with. Whether it is feeding meals, checking/cleaning litter boxes, playing with them for enrichment time, or cleaning up any messes - she has been excellent. We get updates after each visit, and if anything is out of the ordinary she has always contacted us to let us know or she has just taken the initiative to fix whatever happened. We’ve always had a great experience, and would highly recommend Heather for everyone we know!

Stefanie was great - she provided exactly the care we were looking for with our energetic cat, Berry. It was first time leaving her for more than a day or two and I felt she was in good hands the whole trip. Great communication, very responsive, and Berry was very happy to have the company each day! I highly recommend booking with Stefanie!

Sneha took wonderful care of my cat, Nila! She was very gentle, patient, and attentive, and made sure Nila was comfortable throughout the visit. She followed all instructions carefully and spent quality time with her, which I really appreciated. I also loved the updates, it gave me peace of mind knowing Nila was in such good hands. You can truly tell Sneha loves animals and treats them like her own. I would definitely recommend her and will be booking again!
We couldn’t be happier with the care Avery provided for our cat over the Christmas holidays. She did an excellent job and our cat loved her! Everything was perfect, and we felt completely at ease while we were away. We will definitely be booking with Avery again - highly recommend!

This is the second time we’ve had Carole take care of our pups, and we’ll definitely continue to hire her again! She is great with our boys, and they are very comfortable with her. She arrives promptly at the designated time, provides great care and leaves the house tidy. She is a gem and we are glad to have connected with her through Rover!

Ashley was amazing! We were very nervous about having to leave our car for two weeks while we went on vacation as our cat can be quite shy but Ashley worked her magic and our cat was looked after with great care! We received detailed updates and Ashley sent us lots of photos that put us at ease knowing our cat was being so well looked after! Couldn’t recommend Ashley enough!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a London stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in London choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
