“I highly recommend Heather! I had never used Rover before or had anyone I didn’t know watch my 10 month old puppy. Heather kindly came over to meet me and my dog before the first drop in to make sure we all felt comfortable with each other. She was responsive to messages and flexible with changing the schedule. I appreciated the photos she sent which gave me peace of mind that my dog was having a great time. Thanks Heather!”

“So glad we booked with Erin ! Certainly made our vacation worry free with such a piece of mind knowing someone who lives close bye and cherishes pets ( cats and dogs) as much as we do , was checking in on our sometimes shy pets!”

“Walter was amazing with my cat Ducky over the past four nights! My cat is usually very scared and shy, but was perfectly fine around Walter. He was also very flexible and allowed me to shift my bookings back three hours with short notice. It was so nice to not have to worry over the holidays knowing that my cat was well taken care of. I will definitely be booking with him again in the future and would recommend his services to anyone who wants the best care for their pet!”

About: I always loved pets, before I had my own I would walk dogs and feed cats in the neighbourhood. I have experience with health conditions as both my cat and dog have allergies, and my dog has health conditions such as chronic ear infections and seizures so I am used to administering medication both orally and into ears. I also fostered a dog with aggression and behaviour issues and trained my own dog completely by myself from a puppy, so I am completely comfortable looking after puppies as well as older dogs as I looked after a senior dog in the family. I’m currently working part-time and am a student in the fall so I have a very flexible schedule, anytime I don’t work I would love to care for your fur babies! I am very trustworthy when it comes to your home, my neighbours have trusted me to walk their dogs and gave me security information for their homes to pet sit for them while they were away. I am comfortable with home security systems. My own dog used to be a counter-surfer and loved getting into garbages so I am used to being very watchful and making sure pets don’t get into anything if you are worried about that.
“Jenna was so wonderful with my dogs. Spent so much time with them and really was caring. My young puppy is full of energy and a bit crazy. She was more than willing to work with her with no complaints. Jenna sent pictures and text messages during the visit.”

“Jayden did a wonderful job taking care of my cat, Copper. She independently took care of him for over a week and was reliable. She handled all responsibilities with utmost care and properly secured my home locks between visits. I would definitely recommend Jayden and welcome her back to take care of Copper!”

“Shelby was super kind and communicative over our 10 days out! She left great updates with lots of photos and our babies always seemed happy and cared for. A pleasure working with you, we'll keep you in mind for future time away!”

About: My love of dogs comes growing up with two successive Airedale terriers - both had tons of energy. My family's dogs have been such a comforting and positive presence in my life. I love the ritual of caring for and walking dogs; dogs give me so much joy. As someone who aspire to own a dog in the future, I will love and care for your dog like it is my own! I am currently job searching so my schedule is wide open for dog walking. I am very active and love the outdoors so I'm always up for a walk or a run! I will follow the structure and schedule that is so important for most dogs and will make the dog feel as comfortable and happy as possible. I am adept at soothing anxious dogs with toys, play and exercise.

“Jess,as always, makes so easy to leave my girls behind knowing a loving & caring person is checking in on them. Sends lots of pictures and video's. Some of the pictures are very artisitic. Thank so much Jess”

“Maddy and Vanessa were outstanding pet sitters to our cat Tuna. It was our first time leaving our cat with a Rover, so naturally we had some anxiety going into the process. This was quickly quieted by the kindness and thoughtfulness of Maddy and Vanessa. They provided very detailed updates about what Tuna had done, asked questions as needed, and went above and beyond anything we could have imagined. They also took wonderful photos and videos, some of the best we’ve ever got of our girl! We feel lucky to have found them, and Tuna is lucky to now have such amazing new friends, who she loves dearly. We have both had pets our entire lives and have never had a better experience with a pet sitter. We simply cannot recommend Maddy and Vanessa more :) we will absolutely be rebooking with them in the future!”

Heather was very quick to respond to messages and assured me my pets would be in good hands! It's easy to worry when we have a senior dog with medical needs but she put us right at ease. We only needed a drop in visit but if we ever need a longer stay we'll definitely book with her again.

I highly recommend Katie! She was absolutely wonderful with my cat and checked in on her every day this week while I was away. She was reliable, caring, and attentive, and I felt completely comfortable knowing my cat was in such good hands. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. I really appreciate how kind and thoughtful she was, and I wouldn’t hesitate to have her look after my cat again! 🐾❤️

Shacelle was fantastic! She did an incredible job visiting and grooming our dog. She is professional, friendly, prepared, efficient, and communicated so well throughout the booking. She clearly has a magic touch with dogs - our pup loved her from start to finish! Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again!

Our first experience with Jenna was amazing, she was prompt on time as it was a key requirement for a us for a time sensitive appointment. She even took the added initiative of arranging a quick meet & greet before the actual day of the appointment. Our pet really took a liking to Jenna and the dog sitting appointment went seamlessly. We would love to have Jenna back again for our future dog sitting requirements.

Simply said, Taylor was amazing! We truly appreciated her looking after our precious feline, Juliet, while we were abroad for two weeks. She daily visits for feeding, cuddles and frequent updates and photos helped us to fully relax and enjoy our travels! She treated our home like it was hers - keeping it tidy by vacuuming, and watering my plethora of tropical plants! We came home to a peaceful oasis and a very happy cat! Thank you so much, Taylor!

Caitlin was amazing with Piper! She fed her and gave her all her medication! Not only that, she played with her and gave her the love and attention she needed while we were away. Communication was great and I loved seeing pictures of her visits. Will absolutely be booking with Caitlin again!

There are 529 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in London. About 82% of London sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a London stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in London choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
