“Joyce is fantastic!! I’ve never left my Bailey with anyone & was nervous about the whole thing. But after communicating & meeting Joyce the nervousness subsided. She sent me updates & pics and it made me very happy to see my boy so happy. I would definitely recommend Joyce without hesitation and will be booking with her again!”

“Trudie was great with Penelope and kept me updated with photos and texts to let me know how things were going while I was away. I could relax knowing my dog was in good hands while I was gone. I will definitely be booking Trudie again!”

“Smita did an absolutely wonderful job. She provided multiple daily updates and pictures/videos and left me with no doubt about my dog receiving not merely excellent care but also genuine affection during his stay. I will definitely again be using Smita's services and unreservedly recommend her.”

“Susan was wonderful with my dog, Calvin! She was patient, kind, and clearly experienced with pets. Communication was excellent throughout, and she made sure I felt at ease while I was away. Calvin seemed very happy and comfortable in her care. I really appreciated the updates and photos she sent—they showed how much fun he was having. I would definitely recommend Susan to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Alexandria hosted my dog, Enzo, for ten days while I was away on vacation in Mexico. He’s a very hyper, energetic boy and she took it in stride— even when he peed inside early on in the boarding. She sent a daily update with photos and he was his usual, happy self upon my return. I will definitely reach out to her again the next time I’m away and would not hesitate to recommend her to others. Thanks Alexandria!”

“ZIH-YU looked after our 11 year old Belgian Malinois while we were away for a family trip. She was great with communicating and sending photos. She took excellent of our pup and treated him like family. Thank you so much!”

About: I have loved dogs my whole life. I begged my mom for years to get one as a child, and ever since age 10 I have had a beagle almost non-stop. Currently, I have a 2-year old beagle named Floyd whom you can see on Instagram as The_Biking_Beagle. If you live or work in downtown London, it's possible you've seen us biking to the dog park, which we do almost every day. I raised him since 2 months old, so I have experience with puppies as well as senior dogs. My last dog Odie was a rescue from Kentucky, and he was likely about 8-10 years old when I got him. So I love dogs of all ages-and breeds. If you think your dog would like to join us on a bike ride to the dog park, that could be arranged. Either way, I will be happy to spend time with and walk your furry friend! I have a flexible work schedule that allows me to choose my hours. Let me know when you need, and I will make time for you. I have a very friendly 2 year old beagle who gets along with almost any dog and loves to play. I also have a beautiful and very talkative cat, who has her own space if necessary, but also loves to socialize if the dog is friendly to cats. But if not, she does have her own highway of ledges and cat trees and closet space so there is no worry about her safety. I am also happy to care for your cat or dog in your home. I love to play with and spend time with animals, so you can be sure your fur baby is in good hands!
“Liz was great. She sent us pics of our dog playing with her daughter. We had very little notice ( both times) & she accommodated us. We would definitely recommend using her & we will for sure. Our dog was very comfortable with going there. Thanks for everything Deb & Mike”

“Jianping took great care of our dog! We received frequent updates and pictures! Milton was very happy upon drop off / pick up and made great friends with Jianping resident dog.”
“It was our first time using the Rover app, and we couldn't have lucked out more in finding Leslie and Richard to watch our dog while we were out of town for the weekend. They were so welcoming, kind and attentive, and sent lots of photos and updates. They truly catered to our dog the whole weekend and spoiled him with extra walks and treats. You can tell they really, really love dogs and treat your fur baby like their own. I would highly recommend Leslie if you are looking for a sitter in the future, and Troika is excited for his next visit! Thank you so much for everything-you truly made our trip worry free because we knew our little buddy was in such good hands.”

“Nicole took care of my dog Frankie and I couldn't have been happier with all of the updates and the care he received. Frankie is a rescue and is generally very timid so in the 4 years I've had him I've only entrusted him to really close family. Nicole took the time to understand his needs and I was so happy to hear that he had a great time and he seemed so comfortable and at ease that I'll definitely have Nicole take care of him again. I couldn't recommend her more to anyone, she was super responsive to my texts as well as sending me updates to let me know he was eating OK and that he was adjusting well which was such a relief to me.”

“Tauane took amazing care of my extremely anxious dog during his first time away from home, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. I was incredibly worried, but she provided such attentive and loving care that I felt completely reassured while I was away. In fact, when I picked him up, he seemed sad to leave, which speaks volumes about how comfortable and happy he was with her. I’ve already arranged his next stay with Tauane and have full trust in her care. Highly recommend!”

“This was the third time Opus has stayed with Leslie. We have always been very happy to leave him in her care. We enjoy and appreciate that Leslie communicates so well ... lots of photos and updates to let us know how it is going. We wouldn't think twice about leaving Opus with Leslie in the future!”
“My cat Littles stayed with Jiale for 12 nights. Jiale made sure Littles had a safe space from her own kitty, gave lots of pets, and sent me updates with pictures and videos. Usually, after a typical boarding place, Littles comes home agitated and starving for affection, but after staying with Jiale she came back home calm and content - I think she liked the stay.”

“Lama is not like any dog sitter we have ever had. She is amazing at what she does, she cared for Stormi as if she was one of her own. She went above and beyond any expectations we had. James Cairns.”

About: I have a dog and two cats and they are my children. I love to play with pets (including frisbee throwing, catch, tug of war). I love to go for long walks outside and don’t mind walking for long periods of time. I also like to hike and go in forests. I believe that animals are very capable of communication and pay special attention to what they are trying to tell me. I focus on body language. I also make sure to always check the weather before taking pets outside of the house and make sure that I bring the appropriate care items along (such as water bottles, sweaters, poop bags). I am very punctual and tend to be early to appointments. I am reliable and rarely am sick. I look forward to meeting you and your animal companions! I work a full time job, but get holidays and the summer off. I also get all weekends off and love to stay busy. I am available for check-ins and walks in the afternoons/evenings and on the weekends. I have a fenced yard and my dog loves all other animals. I follow all requests made by the owner and communicate as much as possible.
“During Zoey’s 13 day sleepover lots of updates, pictures and videos were provided. When she returned home there were no signs of stress and best I can tell she enjoyed her time away from home. Highly recommended and hopefully Zoey gets to visit again!”

Sayali took excellent care of our puppy. She provided updates and videos, which was very much appreciated. She was also very accommodating and flexible! Our dog loved playing with her two dogs and he came home happy and well exercised. We highly recommend her! Thank you, Sayali!

Shelby did an excellent job boarding my dog, London, from Saturday to Sunday. She was communicative, reliable, and clearly comfortable handling dogs, which made the whole experience stress-free for me and London. Shelby sent timely updates and was easy to reach by text, so I always knew how London was doing, and he seemed relaxed and happy both during drop-off and pick-up—a good sign he was well looked after. Drop-off and pick-up times were respected, everything went smoothly with no issues, and I’d absolutely book Shelby again for weekend boarding and recommend her to other dog owners in London looking for trustworthy care.

Susan took amazing care of my dog, Alphie, for three days. She was very responsive and sent regular photo updates, which gave me great peace of mind. Alfie was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I really appreciated her kindness and professionalism, and I’d absolutely love to send Alfie to Susan again. Highly recommend. Thank you, Susan!“🐾

Vrutika was very responsive before and during Lily's visit! She was so patient, caring, and treated Lily as if she was her own. We were very satisfied with Vrutika's flexibility and once I was running later than expected to pick up Lily, she offered to drive us home and kindly adjusted the booking to reflect this. We will definitely use her services again!

Leslie and her family welcomed our 2 boys into their home and immediately we knew they were in good hands and well looked after for the 2+ weeks we were away. She kept us updated with photos and though we missed them were able to relax and not worry. We would love Leslie and family to look after them again in future!!

Takes good care of pet. However, it is good note that she seems to take care of other dogs at the same time as far as I could ascertain … also, she has a very friendly golden retriever, which is good. My main tip to her is that she should take more videos and photos throughout the day of the babysat dog and interactions with her other dogs. Regardless of all the points mentioned above, the service isgenerally high quality. We would book her again.

Remi seemed to enjoy his time with Angela, who was the first person he has ever stayed with outside of family members. Angela told us that she enjoyed having Remi as well. Both she and her husband are lovely people. We will definitely request their services again if dog care is needed!

Alfred had a great time at Bradley’s!! He is a lovely safe spot for my son! Alfred is reactive and a lot for some to deal with but Bradley does a great job dealing with Alfred’s energy and needs while communicating with us the whole time! Due to Alfred’s large size (140lbs) and the fact that he’s not neutered it can be challenging to find someone that can handle him and Bradley does an excellent job! Thank you so much for watching our baby!!

Catherine is an amazing person who really loves what she do. I will definitely ask for her service whenever I need a long term boarding period for Vicky. I also confidently recommend her for anyone who needs the same service. Thank you Catherine for all the care and love that you provide to Vicky and we really appreciate keeping us posted with daily photos and videos.

My dog had a great experience with Tania! Her and her partner were very communicative and sent tons of pictures of our dog Chief while we were away. Love the daily updates. And even loved that before we booked for Tania that her and her partner took him for a couples hour to make sure everyone felt comfortable! Will definitely be using Tania’s services in the future!! Thank you so much 😊

Brittany was absolutely amazing! Mocha had such a wonderful stay with her and came home happy and relaxed. Brittany sent us photos of Mocha every day and took him on a walk daily, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She took such great care of him, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Mocha would absolutely love to stay with her again!

Lynn and Jeff were great sitters for our frenchie Dozer. They were very responsive to our messages and Lynn sent pictures daily of a dozer to keep in touch with us while we were away. This is the second time Lynn and Jeff looked after Dozer and we felt comfortable he would be well taken care off. We will definitely be calling on Lynn and Jeff next time we need a sitter for Dozer.

Leslie & Richard were a boon for us and our Beagle, Maeve! We couldn’t have been more pleased to hear and see how she was faring in their care. This was our first time boarding our pup outside our home, but in all honesty, we felt their connection was meant to be … and our anxiety about leaving her for two weeks was quelled by their love and devotion. We wouldn’t hesitate one iota to leave Maeve in their watchful care again … she truly was pampered! For that alone, we’re forever grateful.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
