“Bernadett made Finnegan feel right at home and took such good care of him. She sent updates that made us feel comfortable knowing he was in a wonderful home while we were away. Don’t think we could have had anyone better watch him while we were away”

“Joyce was absolutely amazing! I would recommend her to anyone! My pup had such a blast and maybe liked her a little too much! Joyce made me feel confident going away while my pup was sick and kept up on her meds that by the time I got back, she was feeling almost all better! Thank you Joyce!”

“Trudie was great with Penelope and kept me updated with photos and texts to let me know how things were going while I was away. I could relax knowing my dog was in good hands while I was gone. I will definitely be booking Trudie again!”

“First time in 15 years that we have left our chihuahua alone with someone other than our family. "Pedro" was well taken care of and by the pictures sent to us by Smita, probably enjoyed himself more than staying home. We would use Smita again to take care of "Pedro"”

“It was our first time using the Rover app, and we couldn't have lucked out more in finding Leslie and Richard to watch our dog while we were out of town for the weekend. They were so welcoming, kind and attentive, and sent lots of photos and updates. They truly catered to our dog the whole weekend and spoiled him with extra walks and treats. You can tell they really, really love dogs and treat your fur baby like their own. I would highly recommend Leslie if you are looking for a sitter in the future, and Troika is excited for his next visit! Thank you so much for everything-you truly made our trip worry free because we knew our little buddy was in such good hands.”

About: I have loved dogs my whole life. I begged my mom for years to get one as a child, and ever since age 10 I have had a beagle almost non-stop. Currently, I have a 2-year old beagle named Floyd whom you can see on Instagram as The_Biking_Beagle. If you live or work in downtown London, it's possible you've seen us biking to the dog park, which we do almost every day. I raised him since 2 months old, so I have experience with puppies as well as senior dogs. My last dog Odie was a rescue from Kentucky, and he was likely about 8-10 years old when I got him. So I love dogs of all ages-and breeds. If you think your dog would like to join us on a bike ride to the dog park, that could be arranged. Either way, I will be happy to spend time with and walk your furry friend! I have a flexible work schedule that allows me to choose my hours. Let me know when you need, and I will make time for you. I have a very friendly 2 year old beagle who gets along with almost any dog and loves to play. I also have a beautiful and very talkative cat, who has her own space if necessary, but also loves to socialize if the dog is friendly to cats. But if not, she does have her own highway of ledges and cat trees and closet space so there is no worry about her safety. I am also happy to care for your cat or dog in your home. I love to play with and spend time with animals, so you can be sure your fur baby is in good hands!
“This was our first time sending Nori for boarding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She stayed with Avijeet for 8 days, and every single day we got updates and photos that made us smile. Nori and Leo became best buddies so quickly, and it was clear she was loved like family. Knowing she was in such a safe, caring, and responsible space gave us complete peace of mind while we travelled. We are so grateful for the care Avijeet and his family gave her. Highly recommend!”

“Jianping took great care of our dog! We received frequent updates and pictures! Milton was very happy upon drop off / pick up and made great friends with Jianping resident dog.”
“My cat Littles stayed with Jiale for 12 nights. Jiale made sure Littles had a safe space from her own kitty, gave lots of pets, and sent me updates with pictures and videos. Usually, after a typical boarding place, Littles comes home agitated and starving for affection, but after staying with Jiale she came back home calm and content - I think she liked the stay.”

“This was the third time Opus has stayed with Leslie. We have always been very happy to leave him in her care. We enjoy and appreciate that Leslie communicates so well ... lots of photos and updates to let us know how it is going. We wouldn't think twice about leaving Opus with Leslie in the future!”
“Lama is not like any dog sitter we have ever had. She is amazing at what she does, she cared for Stormi as if she was one of her own. She went above and beyond any expectations we had. James Cairns.”

About: As a child, my family always had a cat. I've been curious to own a dog for many years, and was finally able to as an adult. I have less than 10 years experience with dogs, about 7 years total. The first dog I cared for was a foster dog, who was in my care for a year. Shortly after that, I got a dog of my own. Both dogs were large breeds, so I am comfortable with this size, as well as smaller dogs. With both of these dogs, I also had a pet cat. Currently I have a 17 yr old cat who I adopted when he was 9 yrs old. His name is Notorious C.A.T.. 😻 He has many health concerns, and I have become used to administering meds for him. At the moment I have an extremely flexible schedule and am able to help with in-home cat or dog sitting visits, as well as dog walking. There are a few regular commitments in my schedule, and I'm happy to work around these to help bring the care and attention that your pet needs in your absence. As a temporary guardian of your pets, I would like to have an understanding of their personality and needs. If they require specific attention, then I would like to have all the detailed information shared with me no matter how simple or small, be it grooming, feeding, toileting, or walking needs, or anything else that I would need to know in order to make sure your family pet is cared for properly. Some pets take time to warm up to new people, others have anxiety or reactivity. No matter what the needs are, I will do my best to help your pet feel comfort and safe!
“Luna is always happy to stay with Andre and Michelle, and when we pick her up she is happy to see us and never seems stressed. We are so grateful to have them look after Luna. We highly recommend Andre and Michelle!”

“We are beyond grateful for Liz. We were able to finally sneak our Maggie in to meet Liz and Nala. I had been stressing about what to do with our special Maggie for our week getaway, and Liz was incredibly accommodating and understanding. I felt so reassured that Maggie was in extremely capable loving care. Liz communicated about how Maggie was doing, sending adorable photos and videos, and happy updates and I knew everything was great on their end. Even with Maggie's sore hips, administering medication was never an issue for Liz, and I got helpful feedback about how she was managing day to day. I would trust Liz with any of our pets in the blink of an eye. Thank you Liz!!!”

About: I have a dog and two cats and they are my children. I love to play with pets (including frisbee throwing, catch, tug of war). I love to go for long walks outside and don’t mind walking for long periods of time. I also like to hike and go in forests. I believe that animals are very capable of communication and pay special attention to what they are trying to tell me. I focus on body language. I also make sure to always check the weather before taking pets outside of the house and make sure that I bring the appropriate care items along (such as water bottles, sweaters, poop bags). I am very punctual and tend to be early to appointments. I am reliable and rarely am sick. I look forward to meeting you and your animal companions! I work a full time job, but get holidays and the summer off. I also get all weekends off and love to stay busy. I am available for check-ins and walks in the afternoons/evenings and on the weekends. I have a fenced yard and my dog loves all other animals. I follow all requests made by the owner and communicate as much as possible.
About: Hey - I'm Virginia, and I would be honored to help take care of your pet! I provide most services including walks, drop in visits, house pet sitting, boarding, and day care, and I am also happy to discuss unique options. I have a flexible, work from home schedule. I have the most experience with dogs, including veterinary clinics, formal dog training skills, and dog walking. I love cats as well, but provide only drop in visits or house sitting at this time for cats. I am comfortable with almost all kinds of dogs and can handle reactive and energetic personalities, or particular health/social needs. I will keep you well updated during the visit. Please feel free to ask any questions! I am available most days except sundays and saturday afternoons and have a flexible schedule! So, I'll be able to keep a close eye on and give attentive care for your pet. I care for pets by looking out on their behalf. I will ask you for information regarding their needs, fears, and favorite activities. During walks, I keep them away from other people and animals who we don't know. I ensure they are hydrated and not stressed. I also maintain a calm demeanor, and I am very proactive in making decisions for their comfort and safety.

Alfred had a great time at Bradley’s!! He is a lovely safe spot for my son! Alfred is reactive and a lot for some to deal with but Bradley does a great job dealing with Alfred’s energy and needs while communicating with us the whole time! Due to Alfred’s large size (140lbs) and the fact that he’s not neutered it can be challenging to find someone that can handle him and Bradley does an excellent job! Thank you so much for watching our baby!!

I couldn’t be happier with the care Raegan gave my puppy, Pearl, during her week-long boarding stay! From the moment we dropped Pearl off, it was clear she was in loving, capable hands. Raegan treated her like she was part of the family, making sure she felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. I let her know Pearl was energetic and she made sure to take her on extra walks and gave her all the care and attention she needed. I loved getting updates and knowing Pearl was happy, getting plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. When I picked her up, she was relaxed, healthy, and clearly had a wonderful time. It's such a relief to have someone I can completely trust with my puppy. If you're looking for someone who genuinely loves animals and goes above and beyond, I can’t recommend Raegan enough. Thank you for taking such amazing care of Pearl—I’ll definitely be booking with you again!

Catherine is an amazing person who really loves what she do. I will definitely ask for her service whenever I need a long term boarding period for Vicky. I also confidently recommend her for anyone who needs the same service. Thank you Catherine for all the care and love that you provide to Vicky and we really appreciate keeping us posted with daily photos and videos.

My dog had a great experience with Tania! Her and her partner were very communicative and sent tons of pictures of our dog Chief while we were away. Love the daily updates. And even loved that before we booked for Tania that her and her partner took him for a couples hour to make sure everyone felt comfortable! Will definitely be using Tania’s services in the future!! Thank you so much 😊

Brittany was absolutely amazing! Mocha had such a wonderful stay with her and came home happy and relaxed. Brittany sent us photos of Mocha every day and took him on a walk daily, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She took such great care of him, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Mocha would absolutely love to stay with her again!

Lynn and Jeff were great sitters for our frenchie Dozer. They were very responsive to our messages and Lynn sent pictures daily of a dozer to keep in touch with us while we were away. This is the second time Lynn and Jeff looked after Dozer and we felt comfortable he would be well taken care off. We will definitely be calling on Lynn and Jeff next time we need a sitter for Dozer.

Leslie & Richard were a boon for us and our Beagle, Maeve! We couldn’t have been more pleased to hear and see how she was faring in their care. This was our first time boarding our pup outside our home, but in all honesty, we felt their connection was meant to be … and our anxiety about leaving her for two weeks was quelled by their love and devotion. We wouldn’t hesitate one iota to leave Maeve in their watchful care again … she truly was pampered! For that alone, we’re forever grateful.

Smita took great care of my dog. She kept me updated with photos and videos throughout the stay, which gave me peace of mind. I could tell my dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I would definitely book with Smita again and recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.

My cat Littles stayed with Jiale for 12 nights. Jiale made sure Littles had a safe space from her own kitty, gave lots of pets, and sent me updates with pictures and videos. Usually, after a typical boarding place, Littles comes home agitated and starving for affection, but after staying with Jiale she came back home calm and content - I think she liked the stay.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
