About: I have been a passionate and dedicated caregiver for dogs of all breeds and temperaments since I was 15 years old. Having grown up with dogs, including my own Golden Retriever, Casper, and a German Shepherd I owned when I was 15, I have a deep, lifelong appreciation for the unique companionship dogs provide. My experience goes beyond just basic care; I am fully comfortable and skilled in administering both oral and topical medications. Neighbors, friends, and family consistently rely on me because they know I treat every pet as if they were my own, and I am supported by my two teenagers who also love dogs and enjoy helping out. I understand that every dog has unique needs, and I pride myself on my patience, reliability, and ability to keep pets happy, safe, and comfortable while you are away. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy or a senior dog requiring extra care, you can rest assured they are in loving, capable hands." Tips for your profile: Highlighting Experience: Mentioning your personal history with breeds like Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds builds instant credibility with owners of similar dogs. Adding Special Skills: Explicitly stating that you are comfortable with oral and topical medication is a major "plus" for owners of senior or special-needs pets. Family Support: Mentioning your teenagers shows that your home is a dog-friendly, active environment where their pet will receive plenty of attention. Would you like me to refine the headline for this new version? Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because our home is truly a dog-loving environment! I have incredible support from my family, including my two teenagers who absolutely love dogs and are always happy to help with walking, feeding, and playing. Additionally, my husband works full-time from home, which means there is always someone present to provide companionship and supervision. Because of this team effort, your pup will never be left alone and will always have someone to engage with, making it easy for me to ensure they receive consistent, attentive care even when I am out. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. We live in a spacious 5-bedroom house, providing plenty of room for your dog to feel at home. Outside, we have a large, secure space for play, including a big, fenced-in deck that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the fresh air. Our environment is designed to be safe and engaging, and I am always happy to crate your dog if that helps them feel more secure or follows their established routine at home.
“Michelle and her partner, Joel, were truly wonderful with my senior 16 year old Weimaraner. They jumped in to help with a medical issue and I left my dog with them with confidence. I was worry free. Michelle provides a loving, attentive and interactive experience. My dog was so content and happy. I think he is missing Puppy today! He was so well cared for he would have been happy to stay longer. I will be a repeat customer. I trust Michelle and her family with my “old man” and will trust her with future care. So rare to find this and I am so grateful!”

“Absolutely amazing, gave updates on my dog during his time with them. Sent pictures and videos of how well my dog was doing during his stay with them, will definitely be bringing my dog back there🥰 highly recommend, very very nice people 😊”

“We can tell that our dog, Chowder was greatly looked after by Jasmine during his stay with her. Jasmine genuinely loves dogs and you can tell it right away when we have our first meet-up. We definitely found someone we could fully trust with our pet.”

“Tauane took amazing care of my extremely anxious dog during his first time away from home, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. I was incredibly worried, but she provided such attentive and loving care that I felt completely reassured while I was away. In fact, when I picked him up, he seemed sad to leave, which speaks volumes about how comfortable and happy he was with her. I’ve already arranged his next stay with Tauane and have full trust in her care. Highly recommend!”

“Smita took great care of our puppy! She sent plenty of photos and videos and kept me updated when he was fed. It was my first experience with using Rover, and all around very positive! Thank you Smita, we will be sure to book again :)”

“Susan took amazing care of my dog, Alphie, for three days. She was very responsive and sent regular photo updates, which gave me great peace of mind. Alfie was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I really appreciated her kindness and professionalism, and I’d absolutely love to send Alfie to Susan again. Highly recommend. Thank you, Susan!“🐾”

“During Zoey’s 13 day sleepover lots of updates, pictures and videos were provided. When she returned home there were no signs of stress and best I can tell she enjoyed her time away from home. Highly recommended and hopefully Zoey gets to visit again!”

“Finnegan had such a great time staying with Liz and her family! Great communication, lots of updates, and Finnegan got along well with their dog Nala. We’ll certainly book with Liz again!”

“It was our first time using the Rover app, and we couldn't have lucked out more in finding Leslie and Richard to watch our dog while we were out of town for the weekend. They were so welcoming, kind and attentive, and sent lots of photos and updates. They truly catered to our dog the whole weekend and spoiled him with extra walks and treats. You can tell they really, really love dogs and treat your fur baby like their own. I would highly recommend Leslie if you are looking for a sitter in the future, and Troika is excited for his next visit! Thank you so much for everything-you truly made our trip worry free because we knew our little buddy was in such good hands.”

“Alexandria hosted my dog, Enzo, for ten days while I was away on vacation in Mexico. He’s a very hyper, energetic boy and she took it in stride— even when he peed inside early on in the boarding. She sent a daily update with photos and he was his usual, happy self upon my return. I will definitely reach out to her again the next time I’m away and would not hesitate to recommend her to others. Thanks Alexandria!”

“Rugile and Eimantas were amazing with our dog Tabi. They were extremely responsive and sent lots of updates and great photos, which meant we knew our dog was in good hands. They'd definitely be our first pick in the future!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
