“Amazing experience! She was so attentive to my pup the whole time, you could tell she took great care of her. My little girl had so much fun and was happy the entire stay. She also kept me updated constantly with photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. Highly recommend, I’ll definitely book with her again. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her! 🐾”

“Smita did an absolutely wonderful job. She provided multiple daily updates and pictures/videos and left me with no doubt about my dog receiving not merely excellent care but also genuine affection during his stay. I will definitely again be using Smita's services and unreservedly recommend her.”

“Adlynn and her family, two doggies and partner, did an outstanding job of caring for my dog. He was very nervous and not used to being away from me. Adlynn was able to gradually get him to feel safe and he really enjoyed the rest of the time there. I would highly recommend!”

About: Hello, my name is Carrie and I have over 2 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, and as a Biology student at Western University with experience around animals. I love spending time with pets of all personalities and breeds. I’m comfortable with walks (2-3 times per day), feeding, administering oral medications, cleaning litter boxes, and providing enrichment and companionship. I only board ONE FAMILY’s pet(s) at a time for a calm, stress free stay. To help your pet feel comfortable in the summer ☀️ I provide: - Cooling mat - Fan - Toys - Treats (offer only with your approval and if they fit your pet’s diet) - Access to a quiet, shaded green space I treat every pet like my own and want them come home happy. I always keep owners updated with photos and messages during each visit. I’m currently on my summer break, so I have a very flexible schedule and am available most days, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. I live close to PetSmart, making it easy to pick up any pet supplies or handle last minute needs if requested. My home: I live in a clean, smoke-free and air-conditioned apartment with no roommates, providing a calm and safe environment for your pet. I don’t smoke, drink, or party, and your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. There’s also a quiet, shaded green space behind my apartment that’s perfect for short potty breaks and a bit of fresh air. Your home: I’ll treat your home with the same respect and care as my own;) keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly as you left it.
“This was our first time sending Nori for boarding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She stayed with Avijeet for 8 days, and every single day we got updates and photos that made us smile. Nori and Leo became best buddies so quickly, and it was clear she was loved like family. Knowing she was in such a safe, caring, and responsible space gave us complete peace of mind while we travelled. We are so grateful for the care Avijeet and his family gave her. Highly recommend!”

“Listed an amazing job. Boys. Love being there and there were no issues. She's very responsive and has done an amazing job. I think they're both looking forward to the next visit. Thank you once again”

“Brittany was absolutely amazing with my sweet girl Licorice! She was flexible with the last minute booking and was very friendly. I will definitely call her again when I need a sitter! I would definitely recommend Brittany to anyone! ☺️”

“Oh what can I say. I feel like I hit the jackpot with Morgan! She is sweet, kind with a big heart and loved my shepherd like she was her own. She has a beautiful home with a big fluffy bed , ready for your pup to curl up in. My pup had to take some medicine and she was happy to help. I received lots of pictures and txts and it was such a relief to know that she was being taken care of so well. I was able to enjoy my holiday knowing my girl was being loved. Morgan is Heidi's new BFF. I never go anywhere without my dog but now I feel like I can go away without having to feel guilty. Heidi will be having a great time with Morgan while im away. That's a great feeling. Highly recomend Morgan!”

I ensure they are hydrated and not stressed. I also maintain a calm demeanor, and I am very proactive in making decisions for their comfort and safety.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Delaware
Nariska was a wonderful cat sitter for Dickens! He likes to get outside on his leash frequently and she was comfortable with this request and gave him some time outdoors when it wasn't too hot. She also played with him daily and sent pictures and videos regularly! The updates were much appreciated! We highly recommend Nariska as a cat sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
