About: I have over 5 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, and I truly treat every dog as if they were my own. During this time, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities—from energetic puppies to calm seniors. I understand that every dog is different, so I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and needs. Because I work part-time, I have a flexible schedule and am able to dedicate plenty of time to caring for dogs, including walks, playtime, and companionship. I have two dogs of my own who are friendly and enjoy having company. They provide great opportunities for safe play and socialization, while I ensure your dog still receives individualized attention, supervision, and care.
“Katherine is wonderful, she has walked my super high energy pup a few times now and she is great, she’s very friendly and reliable and always checks to make sure my pup has water or whatever else she needs before leaving, I would highly recommend her and I will continue to book walks with her!”

About: I love dogs and going on long walks; it’s the best of both worlds! I have worked with dogs of various ages, energy levels, and behaviour. Whether your dog likes to run, play, and walk for hours, or just likes to chill with a pal, I got it! I have worked with puppies and older dogs, reactive dogs when other dogs are near, feeding dogs medication, beep collars, crate-trained dogs, etc. I’d love to meet your fur-friends, learn more about them, and will happily accompany them on walks and play time! I am currently working part-time, more so in the evenings, so I have plenty of time from early mornings til 2-4 that I can walk your pups and provide pet care. As it is only part-time, I am still able to work evenings sometimes! I am in school from Sept.-April, therefore I have plenty of time for long walks and pet care now and am available to be your daily morning dog-walker! I do not offer pet care in my home, although am able to provide pet care in a clients home! All of my pet care experience has been in other people’s homes, whether it was dropping in for a potty break, quick walk, or a long walk, even last minute! I have also provided pet care staying overnight in a client’s home for a minimum of 1 night-2.5 weeks. I may not be able to get time off of my part-time job when staying in a client’s home so I hope it is okay if I am gone for 4-8 hours in the evening for a couple of the evenings, if it falls on the days I am scheduled. I have always made sure to time out feeding and walks according to my work schedule when needed.

“Incredibly kind and she was amazing with my high energy very large puppy. I highly recommend for anyone wanting someone with great communication. Her experience as a dog trainer makes her even more incredible with dogs.”

About: Hi, My name is Lisa! :) Animals have always had such a special spot in my heart. Their innocence, loyalty and friendship is truly such a gift to us as humans. Being raised with multiple Golden Retrievers since I was 11 years old has taught me a lot about doggies. I have been around the puppy stage many times and I know that not only are they adorable but they do require babysitting and lots of attention. My own dogs, as well as others, have become seniors and I am aware of how delicate that season of their life is too. I am extra attentive to animals needs and am often the one in a group that over makes sure the dog has enough water, that they are up to date on eating and that their needs have been met. Snuggle time is also a bonus :) I can assure you that you won't need to worry at all if your fur-family member is being cared for when you are away! I have a family Golden Retriever. Although I am back and forth from my parents place, seeing him, spending time with him and being there for him is a pleasure! I am more than willing to come and stay at my clients homes while they are away to fursit! Whether its walks, runs, or special care that is needed for their loved one, I would love to be able to provide that for them.
About: For the past 6 years, I’ve raised a Labrador retriever since he was a puppy, cared for dogs as if they were my own. I truly believe pets are family, and they deserve to feel safe, loved, and understood — especially when their owners are away. I have experience with energetic puppies who need patience and gentle training guidance, as well as senior dogs who require a slower pace, extra comfort, and attentive care. I take time to learn each dog’s personality, routines, and little quirks so they feel secure and happy in my care. My goal is simple: allow dogs to sniff & have fun during walks, tire them for good sleep & keep the tails wagging. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I structure my schedule to ensure dogs receive consistent attention, regular walks, playtime, and quiet rest periods. I enjoy starting and ending my day with walks and check-ins, so your dog gets steady care rather than rushed visits. Because I plan my week around the pets I’m caring for, I’m able to maintain their routines as closely as possible — feeding times, exercise, medication (if needed), and lots of affection. Caring for dogs isn’t something I “fit in” — it’s something I genuinely prioritize and enjoy. I have a fenced backyard & a very friendly Labrador Retriever dog ready to play & we provide a safe, calm, and structured environment in my home where dogs feel comfortable and cared for. I follow each dog’s regular routine as closely as possible — including feeding schedules, walk times, play sessions, and rest periods — so they feel secure and settled. For boarding and daycare, I make sure dogs get a healthy balance of exercise, mental stimulation, and quiet time. I’m attentive to their body language and personality, whether they’re energetic and playful or need a slower, gentler pace. During walks, I focus on safety, leash manners, and giving them a positive, enjoyable experience. Most importantly, I treat every dog like family and provide regular updates and photos so you always feel connected and at ease.
About: I’ve grown up caring for all kinds of animals, giving me experience with pets of different personalities and needs. I’ve also cared for animals that require medication and am comfortable following detailed care instructions. I treat every pet like family, whether they’re an energetic puppy or a senior who needs extra patience. I always follow their routine and keep you updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. I’m a student and work part-time, but I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable pet care throughout the week. I can accommodate walks, feeding, playtime, medication if needed, and plenty of attention while following your pet’s regular routine to keep them happy and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any house rules. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their familiar environment while keeping owners updated with photos and messages throughout my stay.
“Walter is true Dog & Cat Whisperer and I highly recommend him!!! Our furbabies absolutely love him - even our rescue dog, who has more trust issues than I do. Walter not treats your furbabies like his own but comes with integrity & goes above and beyond. Buddy, Mona, Cargo & Piper say a HUGE Thank you and all agree - 5 stars is well deserved!!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Delaware choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
