About: I bring over three years of hands-on experience working at an animal hospital, combined with volunteer work at therapeutic riding programs and other animal care organizations. This background has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, health, and compassionate handling. Whether it’s energetic walks or calm, cozy sitting sessions, I’m dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and loving care. I treat every pet like family, ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I offer up to two walks per day on weekdays—one in the morning before work and one in the evening after work—to keep your pup happy and active. On Saturdays, I’m available for one or two walks depending on my schedule, and on Sundays, I have full availability to provide multiple walks and extra attention. I’m committed to fitting quality exercise and care into your pet’s day, even with my busy schedule, so they feel loved and energized while you’re away. When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize maintaining their usual routine to keep them comfortable and happy. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, walks, or cuddles, I follow your specific instructions closely. I ensure a safe environment, lots of attention, and companionship so your pet feels loved and secure while you’re away. My goal is to provide care that feels just like you never left. With sitting, we can discuss availability and flexibility to accommodate for your pet and family needs.
“Lidiya was amazing! She took such great care of Aspen. I was very anxious leaving her as this was the first time i’ve ever been away from her, but Lidiya sent me so many photos and notes about her! She even went above and beyond and unloaded some groceries that got delivered while i was away. Will definitely book her again in the future.”

“Alex is really nice and you can tell she really cares about animals and understands them and how to care for them. She looked after my 2 cats while I was out of town and right after our meet and greet I felt comfortable knowing they would be in her care. She is thorough and detailed oriented. She sent me videos, pictures, & updates on how my cats were doing each visit, and I never felt worried about them during my trip. I will definitely request to rebook with her next time I go out of town.”

“Walter was amazing with my cat Ducky over the past four nights! My cat is usually very scared and shy, but was perfectly fine around Walter. He was also very flexible and allowed me to shift my bookings back three hours with short notice. It was so nice to not have to worry over the holidays knowing that my cat was well taken care of. I will definitely be booking with him again in the future and would recommend his services to anyone who wants the best care for their pet!”

“Thanks again Katherine! It’s so comforting to know when we leave our fur babies for longer periods of time that they are well loved and taken care of by you. It lets us enjoy our time away alleviates any of our concerns.”

About: I love dogs and going on long walks; it’s the best of both worlds! I have worked with dogs of various ages, energy levels, and behaviour. Whether your dog likes to run, play, and walk for hours, or just likes to chill with a pal, I got it! I have worked with puppies and older dogs, reactive dogs when other dogs are near, feeding dogs medication, beep collars, crate-trained dogs, etc. I’d love to meet your fur-friends, learn more about them, and will happily accompany them on walks and play time! I am currently working part-time, more so in the evenings, so I have plenty of time from early mornings til 2-4 that I can walk your pups and provide pet care. As it is only part-time, I am still able to work evenings sometimes! I am in school from Sept.-April, therefore I have plenty of time for long walks and pet care now and am available to be your daily morning dog-walker! I do not offer pet care in my home, although am able to provide pet care in a clients home! All of my pet care experience has been in other people’s homes, whether it was dropping in for a potty break, quick walk, or a long walk, even last minute! I have also provided pet care staying overnight in a client’s home for a minimum of 1 night-2.5 weeks. I may not be able to get time off of my part-time job when staying in a client’s home so I hope it is okay if I am gone for 4-8 hours in the evening for a couple of the evenings, if it falls on the days I am scheduled. I have always made sure to time out feeding and walks according to my work schedule when needed.
About: I was a vet assistant as young adult. I was involved in the care of the animals in both routine situations and in more critical medical situations. Dogs are an important part of my life. I also have an affinity for cats and any domestic animals. I believe they enrich our lives as humans and are entitled to our care and respect. Recently retired so am available for my pet friends throughout the day and evening. I prefer 48 hour notice but will do my best to accommodate shorter notice requests. I have a fully fenced yard but also believe it's important taking dogs our for walks provided this suits the dogs temperament and the wishes of the owner. I adhere to the owners household and behavioral rules for the pet while in my care. I adapt to the needs and temperament of the pet by providing as much or as little in the way of cuddles and affection as your pet needs. I would be thrilled to meet and care for your pet!
About: I have lived with a dog my whole life! For as long as I can remember my family, friends, and people in my community have asked me to take care of their pets and I am always happy to do so, whether they need me just to walk or feed their pet because they are running late or for a longer period of time. I am good with dogs of any age! I am currently a full time student in college, my weekends are always free. I am currently doing a work placement in Stratford and I am usually gone from 6:30 AM till about 3:30/4:00 PM during the week. When it comes to caring for a pet, I will do the obvious things like ensuring they are kept out of danger and safe, never outside without a leash unless of course in their own fenced in yard. Of course if the pet owner would like additional and specific precautions taken they can always inform me and I will follow it

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Delaware stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Delaware choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
