About: I bring over three years of hands-on experience working at an animal hospital, combined with volunteer work at therapeutic riding programs and other animal care organizations. This background has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, health, and compassionate handling. Whether it’s energetic walks or calm, cozy sitting sessions, I’m dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and loving care. I treat every pet like family, ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I offer up to two walks per day on weekdays—one in the morning before work and one in the evening after work—to keep your pup happy and active. On Saturdays, I’m available for one or two walks depending on my schedule, and on Sundays, I have full availability to provide multiple walks and extra attention. I’m committed to fitting quality exercise and care into your pet’s day, even with my busy schedule, so they feel loved and energized while you’re away. When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize maintaining their usual routine to keep them comfortable and happy. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, walks, or cuddles, I follow your specific instructions closely. I ensure a safe environment, lots of attention, and companionship so your pet feels loved and secure while you’re away. My goal is to provide care that feels just like you never left. With sitting, we can discuss availability and flexibility to accommodate for your pet and family needs.
About: I lived on and work on a farm for over 25yrs. I've looked after everything from fish, cats, dogs, to poultry and fowl to horses and cattle. I'm active, enjoy spending time outside and love walking. I grew up with Irish Wolfhounds and miss having a dog to walk with. I'm working a weekday job as a plumbing apprentice. Generally from 8-4 but some days are shorter or if times are slow I have days off. In my clients home I like to have a written outline of what your pets routine and needs are. I will make sure your pets needs for company, mental stimulation, food, water, exercise, outdoor time and medicine (if required) are met.
“If you are looking for the best pet sitter out there, look no further ! You are reading a review in her profile as we speak.... Where do I begin with ? I hired Katherine for a week to come take care of my cat, Júpiter, while I went away on a much needed and deserved vacation. I was worried because Júpiter is super clingy, I had never left him for such long time, and I had had a bad experience with another pet sitter before....soon I realized that choosing Katherine was the best decision I could have ever made: She is sweet, responsible, caring, kind, and truly loves pets ! She went above and beyong in several aspects: Once she learnt that I had previously had a bad experience with another pet sitter, she asked me a few questions to learn what my expectation and my need was, to make sure this wouldn't happen to me again. One day, while sitting Júpiter, the building's fire drill was being conducted, and she stayed a few extra minutes with Júpiter (she didn't have to !), just to make sure Júpiter was alright because he tends to get scared with loud noises. She showed up everyday, on time, to take care of Júpiter and followed 100% of my instructions (and I had given her plenty of those !). She also sent me daily updates on how Júpiter was doing, with plenty of pictures and videos, which allowed me to relax and enjoy a worry-free vacation. I wouldn't have achieved this if it wasn't for Katherine, and I will always be grateful with her for that. To sum up, I strongly recommend Katherine...she is a wonderful pet sitter and both Júpiter and I wouldn't change her for the world.”

“I booked with Erin last minute for a trip out of town and she was amazing. I received many updates and my cats were well cared for all week. She answered all my questions and provided wonderful care for my two cats.”

About: I've helped take care of my dog Cole for 14 years. Over the years he has lost his sight and gradually lost his hearing. Despite this, I still ensure he is fed, walked, and is able to live a safe and healthy life. While Cole is a smaller breed, I've also handled larger breeds such as German Shepards and Golden Retrievers without issues. I currently work part time and I'm also attending university. Please feel free to reach out to me about any scheduling inquiries and I'll gladly do my best to accommodate you. I can always ensure that your pets receive the attention and care that they need. As someone who takes care of a dog who is both blind and partially deaf, I understand and am able to properly adjust my way of caring for animals as they need.
“Walter was amazing with my cat Ducky over the past four nights! My cat is usually very scared and shy, but was perfectly fine around Walter. He was also very flexible and allowed me to shift my bookings back three hours with short notice. It was so nice to not have to worry over the holidays knowing that my cat was well taken care of. I will definitely be booking with him again in the future and would recommend his services to anyone who wants the best care for their pet!”

“Alex is really nice and you can tell she really cares about animals and understands them and how to care for them. She looked after my 2 cats while I was out of town and right after our meet and greet I felt comfortable knowing they would be in her care. She is thorough and detailed oriented. She sent me videos, pictures, & updates on how my cats were doing each visit, and I never felt worried about them during my trip. I will definitely request to rebook with her next time I go out of town.”

“Lidiya was amazing! She took such great care of Aspen. I was very anxious leaving her as this was the first time i’ve ever been away from her, but Lidiya sent me so many photos and notes about her! She even went above and beyond and unloaded some groceries that got delivered while i was away. Will definitely book her again in the future.”

About: I was a vet assistant as young adult. I was involved in the care of the animals in both routine situations and in more critical medical situations. Dogs are an important part of my life. I also have an affinity for cats and any domestic animals. I believe they enrich our lives as humans and are entitled to our care and respect. Recently retired so am available for my pet friends throughout the day and evening. I prefer 48 hour notice but will do my best to accommodate shorter notice requests. I adhere to the owners household and behavioral rules for the pet while in my care. I adapt to the needs and temperament of the pet by providing as much or as little in the way of cuddles and affection as your pet needs. I would be thrilled to meet and care for your pet!
About: I specialize in caring for high-energy dogs who need more than just a walk. As the owner of a young, energetic American Labrador, Reni, I understand how important exercise, patience, enrichment, and mental stimulation are for dogs with lots of energy. Reni has taught me how to channel that energy in positive ways through training, enrichment activities, scent work, and engaging play. I’ve loved dogs my entire life and grew up with family dogs and other animals. I also have experience caring for neighbours’ pets and have developed hands-on experience with positive reinforcement and managing some dog reactivity through my own dog. I’m patient, reliable, and passionate about helping high-energy dogs feel happy, fulfilled, and well cared for. I work an 8am-4pm schedule from home, allowing for some flexibility during the day and I can largely accomodate walks before and after work and on weekends. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
