Walter was amazing with my cat Ducky over the past four nights! My cat is usually very scared and shy, but was perfectly fine around Walter. He was also very flexible and allowed me to shift my bookings back three hours with short notice. It was so nice to not have to worry over the holidays knowing that my cat was well taken care of. I will definitely be booking with him again in the future and would recommend his services to anyone who wants the best care for their pet!

About: I am currently enrolled in school to become a veterinary technician. My passion for animals has lead me to become fear free certified and always go above and beyond for the animals in my care. I have grown up with large breed dogs my whole life, and recently became a dog owner with my first dog! I have worked in a doggy daycare for 2 years where I was a supervisor. I have also worked at an animal shelter caring for dogs while they are waiting for their forever home. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, temperaments and training levels. I am very passionate about working with dogs who have some behavioural issues making them “unwanted” in the shelter system. I have experience socializing, training, introducing dogs and advocating for dogs needs. I am very involved in the dog world and am always looking to get more experience with them. I provide quality care that is trustworthy and respectful to the owner and the dogs. I am a part time student in the fall and winter allowing me to have a flexible schedule during the day to tend to your pets needs. I know the importance of having a consistent schedule with your pets and strive to be able to provide that for your animals individual needs. I am flexible and able to work with you to create a daily or weekly schedule that fits your animals and your needs. Safety and confidentiality are very important to me as a pet owner. I know it's hard to trust a random stranger with the care of your precious furry children. I take pride in being able to say I am a very trust worthy and responsible care taker of animals. How would I want someone to care for my animals when I'm away? That's how I will care for your animal. Allowing pet owners to have peace of mind that their pets are in excellent hands. I provide drop in services to play with your animals from the comfort of their home, outside on a long scenic nature walk or a short walk while you're at work, even a quick playtime in the backyard if that's what the love to do! I am happy to enrich pets lives when you need the extra help or are away.

About: For the past 6 years, I’ve raised a Labrador retriever since he was a puppy, cared for dogs as if they were my own. I truly believe pets are family, and they deserve to feel safe, loved, and understood — especially when their owners are away. I have experience with energetic puppies who need patience and gentle training guidance, as well as senior dogs who require a slower pace, extra comfort, and attentive care. I take time to learn each dog’s personality, routines, and little quirks so they feel secure and happy in my care. My goal is simple: allow dogs to sniff & have fun during walks, tire them for good sleep & keep the tails wagging. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I structure my schedule to ensure dogs receive consistent attention, regular walks, playtime, and quiet rest periods. I enjoy starting and ending my day with walks and check-ins, so your dog gets steady care rather than rushed visits. Because I plan my week around the pets I’m caring for, I’m able to maintain their routines as closely as possible — feeding times, exercise, medication (if needed), and lots of affection. Caring for dogs isn’t something I “fit in” — it’s something I genuinely prioritize and enjoy. I have a fenced backyard & a very friendly Labrador Retriever dog ready to play & we provide a safe, calm, and structured environment in my home where dogs feel comfortable and cared for. I follow each dog’s regular routine as closely as possible — including feeding schedules, walk times, play sessions, and rest periods — so they feel secure and settled. For boarding and daycare, I make sure dogs get a healthy balance of exercise, mental stimulation, and quiet time. I’m attentive to their body language and personality, whether they’re energetic and playful or need a slower, gentler pace. During walks, I focus on safety, leash manners, and giving them a positive, enjoyable experience. Most importantly, I treat every dog like family and provide regular updates and photos so you always feel connected and at ease.

About: 🐶 About Me Hi! I’m Elyssa — a reliable, attentive animal lover who genuinely enjoys caring for pets as if they’re my own. I understand how important it is to feel completely comfortable leaving your pet with someone, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m calm, patient, and very tuned in to animal behaviour. Whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or prefers a slower, cozy vibe, I adjust to their personality and routine. I’m especially attentive to signs of discomfort, stress, or changes in behaviour — your pet’s safety and wellbeing always come first. ⸻ 🐾 My Experience • Experience with medium to large breeds • Comfortable with senior dogs and dogs with mobility considerations • Familiar with basic training cues and reinforcing good habits • Confident handling dogs on leash • Experienced with feeding routines, medication schedules, and special instructions I also understand that some dogs can be anxious when their owners are away. I focus on keeping their routine consistent and providing reassurance, structure, and lots of positive attention. ⸻ 🏡 What You Can Expect ✔️ Reliable and punctual ✔️ Frequent photo and video updates ✔️ Clear communication ✔️ Clean and respectful care of your home ✔️ Lots of love, belly rubs, and enrichment I treat every pet like family — and I know they aren’t “just dogs.” They’re your babies. I work shift-based hours, which gives me flexibility that a traditional 9–5 schedule doesn’t. On my days off, I have full daytime availability for walks, drop-ins, and quality time. On workdays, I’m often available mornings, evenings, or overnight depending on my rotation. Because I’m used to managing a rotating schedule, I’m very organized and intentional with my time. I only accept bookings that I know I can fully commit to, and I avoid overbooking so every dog receives calm, focused attention. Shift work also means I’m comfortable with early mornings, late evenings, and non-traditional routines — which is perfect for pet parents who work long hours or unconventional schedules themselves. Your dog won’t feel rushed or squeezed in — they’ll have dedicated, reliable care built into my week. I bring calm energy, strong communication, attention to detail, and genuine care. Your dog will be treated with patience, structure, and lots of positive reinforcement — like they’re my own.

Zahara, did a great job. She let us know when she took Simba for a walk and sent photos each time. It was reassuring to know that he was being looked after when we were away. This was our first experience with rover and we would definitely use the app and Zahara again.
