“Amazing host for my two dogs! Kollin and his girlfriend took excellent care of them and made them feel like at home. He sent regular updates, photo and videos that made us feel very comfortable and confident that we made a great choice of entrusting our girls to Kollin. Definitely, he is our go to sitter any time we go out of town in future. Highly recommend to all!”

“Sayali took great care of Frank and I was able to enjoy my time knowing he was in good hands. Her updates were very helpful and Frankie loved playing with her dogs in the backyard!”

“Yoda was incredible. We have an anxious dog and this was the guest to never left her with someone we didn’t know. She did great and we felt very comfortable leaving her with Yoda.”

“Buddy had a good time at William’s. I think he got lots of pets and lots of play time with their dog. Always quick to respond to messages. Pup seemed very happy when we picked him up and I think he developed a nice bond with Bill and his daughter.”

“Joyce was amazing with my dog Charlie! Joyce sent timely updates with great pictures, took Charlie for walks and gave him lots of love. I will definitely bring Charlie to Joyce again!”

“Trudie was great with Penelope and kept me updated with photos and texts to let me know how things were going while I was away. I could relax knowing my dog was in good hands while I was gone. I will definitely be booking Trudie again!”

“We were very nervous to leave our dog with strangers as she takes a while to get comfortable with people and can be reactive with some dogs, but Rugi and Eiman exceeded our expectations. I can tell by the many picture and video updates they sent that she did great there and got spoiled with walks and attention. We can't recommend them enough! You can also expect beautiful pics of your pup, the other reviews weren't kidding! We will absolutely book with them again. 😀”

“5 stars all the way. Rachel is fantastic. My dog is very stressed in all situations with new people and he got attached to Rachel very quickly. I am very glad I left him in her care.”

“My cat Littles stayed with Jiale for 12 nights. Jiale made sure Littles had a safe space from her own kitty, gave lots of pets, and sent me updates with pictures and videos. Usually, after a typical boarding place, Littles comes home agitated and starving for affection, but after staying with Jiale she came back home calm and content - I think she liked the stay.”

“We were worried leaving Dexter with a sitter as he is generally very oriented and has anxiety issues. Lynn put us at ease the first day we were away with pictures that showed Dexter was happy and well taken care of. He got lots of attention and walks .We are happy, and sure Dexter was happy with Lynn and her husband. We would defiantly use Lynn again.”

“Our retriever LOVES going to stay with Ryan and Courtney! And we never worry when she is there. She's in great hands and gets so much love and playtime. We are so lucky to have found them :)”

“We don’t leave our dog too often so I always feel a bit nervous about it but we had an amazing experience with Catherine. She sent pictures and videos and I could tell Pillow felt comfortable and right at home. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our girl!”

“Bradley was the best dog sitter yet! He provided amazing updates of my sweet son and was able to care for him and all his needs! Alfred can sometimes be a handful and I feel filled with pure joy that he got along with Bradley! I would recommend him to anyone and everyone and I’m so grateful that he was able to look after him so well! Thank you so much!!”

Alfred had a great time at Bradley’s!! He is a lovely safe spot for my son! Alfred is reactive and a lot for some to deal with but Bradley does a great job dealing with Alfred’s energy and needs while communicating with us the whole time! Due to Alfred’s large size (140lbs) and the fact that he’s not neutered it can be challenging to find someone that can handle him and Bradley does an excellent job! Thank you so much for watching our baby!!

I couldn’t be happier with the care Raegan gave my puppy, Pearl, during her week-long boarding stay! From the moment we dropped Pearl off, it was clear she was in loving, capable hands. Raegan treated her like she was part of the family, making sure she felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. I let her know Pearl was energetic and she made sure to take her on extra walks and gave her all the care and attention she needed. I loved getting updates and knowing Pearl was happy, getting plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. When I picked her up, she was relaxed, healthy, and clearly had a wonderful time. It's such a relief to have someone I can completely trust with my puppy. If you're looking for someone who genuinely loves animals and goes above and beyond, I can’t recommend Raegan enough. Thank you for taking such amazing care of Pearl—I’ll definitely be booking with you again!

Catherine is an amazing person who really loves what she do. I will definitely ask for her service whenever I need a long term boarding period for Vicky. I also confidently recommend her for anyone who needs the same service. Thank you Catherine for all the care and love that you provide to Vicky and we really appreciate keeping us posted with daily photos and videos.

My dog had a great experience with Tania! Her and her partner were very communicative and sent tons of pictures of our dog Chief while we were away. Love the daily updates. And even loved that before we booked for Tania that her and her partner took him for a couples hour to make sure everyone felt comfortable! Will definitely be using Tania’s services in the future!! Thank you so much 😊

Brittany was absolutely amazing! Mocha had such a wonderful stay with her and came home happy and relaxed. Brittany sent us photos of Mocha every day and took him on a walk daily, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She took such great care of him, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Mocha would absolutely love to stay with her again!

Lynn and Jeff were great sitters for our frenchie Dozer. They were very responsive to our messages and Lynn sent pictures daily of a dozer to keep in touch with us while we were away. This is the second time Lynn and Jeff looked after Dozer and we felt comfortable he would be well taken care off. We will definitely be calling on Lynn and Jeff next time we need a sitter for Dozer.

Leslie & Richard were a boon for us and our Beagle, Maeve! We couldn’t have been more pleased to hear and see how she was faring in their care. This was our first time boarding our pup outside our home, but in all honesty, we felt their connection was meant to be … and our anxiety about leaving her for two weeks was quelled by their love and devotion. We wouldn’t hesitate one iota to leave Maeve in their watchful care again … she truly was pampered! For that alone, we’re forever grateful.

Smita took great care of my dog. She kept me updated with photos and videos throughout the stay, which gave me peace of mind. I could tell my dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I would definitely book with Smita again and recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.

This was my dog’s second time staying with Alexandria longterm while I was away on vacation. He became unwell mid-trip and she was quick to update me, took the day off work to monitor his condition, and took him to his vet. As a former Guide Dog Mobility Instructor and Rover sitter, I’m always so impressed with and grateful for her. I always trust she’ll take good care of my boy.

Thank you so much for taking amazing care of our pup! We felt secure knowing she was in great hands. Thank you for your great communication and flexibility! We also appreciate you being so accommodating! Would highly recommend and we will bring Lilah back in the future for more cuddles!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
