“Our Golden Retriever Beau spent the last week, plus a day, with Claudia and her family and we couldn't be more happy and so very grateful that we found them to keep our boy while we were away. Beau was treated like one of their family while he was there. He loved them by the time we picked him up and I am pretty sure he would have stayed if we hadn't led him to our car!! It was clear that they had fallen in love with him also. He got lots of love, attention and exercise, possibly even more than he has on a regular day at home. We are hoping that we can always take our Beau to them when we cannot take him along with us. He also enjoyed that there were sometimes another dog or two to play with throughout his days there, especially since he is an only dog at home. Will be a boring week this week at home for him!! Thanks again, so much, to Claudia, Cako and Bruno for being a second home to our boy Beau!!”

“Sayali took great care of Frank and I was able to enjoy my time knowing he was in good hands. Her updates were very helpful and Frankie loved playing with her dogs in the backyard!”

“Rebekah and her team were wonderful with our dog Loki! As a dog mom dropping her pup off for the first time they were understanding of my concerns and helped us feel very comfortable leaving him in their care. We will definitely be reaching out to them again!”

“This past weekend our family used Rover for the first time and Adam kindly and quickly responded to my booking request as well as any questions I had. He kept contact throughout Nova's stay and sent us pictures along the way. It was FANTASTIC to be able to go away and have her stay in a safe, warm and caring environment. We would highly recommend and hope to book with Adam again in the future.”

“We were worried leaving Dexter with a sitter as he is generally very oriented and has anxiety issues. Lynn put us at ease the first day we were away with pictures that showed Dexter was happy and well taken care of. He got lots of attention and walks .We are happy, and sure Dexter was happy with Lynn and her husband. We would defiantly use Lynn again.”

“Adlynn and her family, two doggies and partner, did an outstanding job of caring for my dog. He was very nervous and not used to being away from me. Adlynn was able to gradually get him to feel safe and he really enjoyed the rest of the time there. I would highly recommend!”

“Bradley was the best dog sitter yet! He provided amazing updates of my sweet son and was able to care for him and all his needs! Alfred can sometimes be a handful and I feel filled with pure joy that he got along with Bradley! I would recommend him to anyone and everyone and I’m so grateful that he was able to look after him so well! Thank you so much!!”

“Carol and family was a second home to Bauer! They took great care and we knew he was well looked after all weekend. We will definitely have Carol look after Bauer in the future without hesitation. Thank you so much!”

“Faye was incredibly friendly with our puppy! Her own big dog Leo is very well trained. We think our puppy came home better than before we left. We would definitely recommend her for your dog sitting needs!”

“Fiona and Dale are fabulous hosts. Karma had an absolute blast! We received regular pictures and communication about her adventures including videos of her swimming! She is tuckered out and had the best time! Thanks for caring so well for our sweet girl!”

“Buddy had a good time at William’s. I think he got lots of pets and lots of play time with their dog. Always quick to respond to messages. Pup seemed very happy when we picked him up and I think he developed a nice bond with Bill and his daughter.”

“Suki loved her stay with Jennifer and family. She felt at home and comfortable right away. I would HIGHLY recommend Jennifer and her pet sitting services to ALL my friends with furry people. She is very warm and friendly and was great with Suki. When we came home after our weekend away Suki was relaxed and happy.”

“Oh what can I say. I feel like I hit the jackpot with Morgan! She is sweet, kind with a big heart and loved my shepherd like she was her own. She has a beautiful home with a big fluffy bed , ready for your pup to curl up in. My pup had to take some medicine and she was happy to help. I received lots of pictures and txts and it was such a relief to know that she was being taken care of so well. I was able to enjoy my holiday knowing my girl was being loved. Morgan is Heidi's new BFF. I never go anywhere without my dog but now I feel like I can go away without having to feel guilty. Heidi will be having a great time with Morgan while im away. That's a great feeling. Highly recomend Morgan!”

“I cannot recommend Janet enough!! She was absolutely wonderful and took such good care of our Honey. She was excellent at sending photos and videos and updates. Honey was with Janet for 3 weeks and we knew without a doubt that she was being loved and cared for beautifully. Thank you so much Janet!!”

“Yoda was incredible. We have an anxious dog and this was the guest to never left her with someone we didn’t know. She did great and we felt very comfortable leaving her with Yoda.”

“Emily did an amazing job looking after Harley. We couldn't be happier with the care she provided. She sent us lots of photos and updates, which gave us peace of mind and made us feel that our girl was being very well looked after. Thank you so much, Emily, for taking such wonderful care of Harley. We truly appreciate it and would highly recommend you to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter. 🐾”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
