“She is wonderful! Liam loved her right away during the meet and greet. From the very first sitting, she went above and beyond. She was supposed to walk Liam and leave him at our house while we were away, but after receiving the hurricane amber alert, she immediately went to check on him and offered to take him to her home. We’re very happy to have found someone we can truly count on in town.”

“Sapphire loves going to Claudia’s. She has gotten to know Claudia and that makes it easier for me to leave her for the day. She enjoys playing with the other dogs.”

About: As a dog owner for over 4 years, I have hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, basic grooming, administering medications when needed, and providing a safe and loving environment. Caring for my own dog has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of understanding each pet’s unique personality and needs. I treat every pet like family and strive to make them feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide pets with consistent care, attention, and companionship throughout the day. Daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and potty breaks are already part of my routine, ensuring pets receive plenty of supervision and affection while in my care. Pets in my home are treated like part of the family. I live in a house with a secure fenced yard, giving dogs plenty of space to safely run, play, and explore. I also have a friendly 4 year old golden retriever who enjoys companionship and can be a great playmate for social dogs.
About: I have over 12+ years of dog ownership experience as well as 3+ years experience in dog adoption/fostering. Taking care of other people's pets is second nature to me. As a dog owner myself, I understand that it is stressful to relinquish control of your pets care to someone else. I was caught up in the business of the 9-5 workday and stressed to find care for my dogs that was personable and affordable. I have recently lost my job and in the midst of looking for work, I decided to open up my home to some furry friends! **I am only able to provide care from 8am-6pm daily for doggy daycare** I am currently searching for my next job opportunity since being laid off. I have daily available during the work day with overnight care offered if needed. I have a fully fenced, large yard as well as two dogs of my own. The care for your dog would be directly in my home, they wouldn't be outside all day/ignored. If the weather is bad, we may just sit back and watch TV after playtime! My dogs are very friendly and playful but I do have a dachshund who is very small, therefore I can only accept dogs that are 40lbs and under.
“Amazing!! She did so much with them, constantly sent photo’s and videos of what they were doing and the dogs were having a blast! I would highly recommend! Great with the dogs and an all around great person!”

“I’m pleased with the care shown to my furry friend during his stay with Sayali and family. I received picture updates throughout the day, which was greatly appreciated. He appeared happy and had other friends to play with. Thank you”

“I'm so happy I reached out to Sandra for daycare for my 9 month old herding pup, Buddy. She responded right away and asked all the right questions. I could tell right away she was a pro at reading dogs' body language and at kindly managing the behavioral issues we've been struggling with. She offered great advice and worked with him throughout his entire stay. He even trained at her side as she worked at the market which was an invaluable experience, especially for a nervous pup at his age. You can be confident leaving your pet with Sandra knowing they are in the best hands. I look forward to them spending more time together again soon.”

“Bill was terrific. Our dog was happy and relaxed when we picked him up. Bill was accommodating and attentive, excellent communication throughout. Would recommend Bill. Thanks for taking such great care of our furry family member.”

About: I have owned and dog-sat, and consider them part of the family. I have always enjoyed being around dogs and the joy they bring to our lives. I am available all day, every day, including statutory holidays and vacations. Making sure there are plenty of potty breaks and playtime. I am flexible with Drop-off and Pick-up times I am home all day long and everyday and I always have availability for needing an extra day you need a longer stay let me know and I will modify your booking. I am used to cleaning up pee and poop in the house dogs are not potty trained. When feeding the dogs I separate the feedings I have a fenced yard and 1 friendly dog that will keep your best friend company with lots of playtime. I will always be outside with the dogs and sticking to the owner's routine and I am use to dogs not leash trained and heavy puller when walking in the backyard for potty breaks No dogs are off leash in the backyard because dogs don't recall dogs have to be leashed
“Kollin has become our go to weekly dog sitter for his daycare needs. We had originally tried things out after our favourite daycare closed down, and Kollin has been great since. Link loves going and he’s a happy dog when he comes home! Kollin has been great with our super high energy dog! And he’s been super flexible through our very long days at work! Which happens a lot unfortunately, so having an option for link to not be in his crate too much makes us really happy! Plus we love the continued socialization for Link as many different dogs are in and out of Kollin’s care when Link is there and Link loves playing with them! We’re really happy with Kollin’s professionalism and care for Link! We keep booking with him weekly!”

“Nayeli was amazing with our little fur baby. He had lots of fun and eat well. I will definitely be booking with Nayeli again. Nayeli provided pictures and updates of our little one. She is awesome”

“My dog always enjoys spending the day with Susan. They take long walks and there's often another small dog for him to play with. Susan is reliable and I don't have to worry when my dog is at her house.”
“Angela and family were awesome! They were very nice to talk with and frequently shared what our furbaby was doing. We always saw how happy our dog was, he had a great time!”

“My experience with Smita was amazing! We had a 13-year-old lab that was very well taken care of. I loved the updates and pics that Smita sent me. We will contact her again, for sure. 🧡🐶”

About: Having fostered and rescued stubborn Rottweilers, I know that helping animals is something I truly feel connected with. From gently coaxing porcupine quills from a scared dog's snout to mastering the art of skunk deodorizing, my experience is diverse. I'm committed to providing exceptional care for your furry companions." I work from home Monday to Friday and have transportation readily available. Work offers flex time, so mid day requirements are easily met. Happy to pet sit at my home during my home office work hours as well. In home = crate, no furniture, 100% leashed outdoors until mutual agreed on (approved sniff spot / fenced areas). In your home = the animal/owner preference, home yard rules applied.
“My dog Harley's experience with Diana has been great. He has had a great deal of separation anxiety over the past six months but he is happy when we get to her home. Diana is very affectionate with Harley, as is her young daughter. Harley is very comfortable in their home now and I know he is being loved and taken good care of. Thank you for taking such great care of Harley!”

“Brittany was great! Very much appreciated the cute pictures of our dog enjoying the stay and when my dog was excited to see her on her next stay I was sure Mikka enjoyed her time too. My dog is slow to adjust to new people so it was great that Brittany was patient through it used to this behavior.”

“Bernadett has been a GREAT care for the last month with my mini poodle. She’s very caring and sweet person. I am having a peace of mind when I know chi chi is spending his time with her and Cooper. She constantly updates with pictures and messages. Also, she doesn’t mind sharing her delicious and healthy homemade treats/food with my dog. Chi chi looks forward her days with her and comes back as a happy tired dog :) I couldn’t ask for a better care. She is the best!!”

Faye was very accommodating. She was able to take in our dog for an early morning drop off. Since we had to leave home to travel out of town for a funeral we felt confident our dog would be taken care of after meeting her. Leaving him was easier knowing she would update us throughout the day and getting picture updates made us feel he was right at home. We were also happy to hear her dog was company to ours while we were away. Faye made sure she knew his rules and routines. We would definitely recommend Faye and leave our dog with her again.

She was supposed to walk Liam and leave him at our house while we were away, but after receiving the hurricane amber alert, she immediately went to check on him and offered to take him to her home. Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Ingersoll commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 83% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
