“She is wonderful! Liam loved her right away during the meet and greet. From the very first sitting, she went above and beyond. She was supposed to walk Liam and leave him at our house while we were away, but after receiving the hurricane amber alert, she immediately went to check on him and offered to take him to her home. We’re very happy to have found someone we can truly count on in town.”

“This was our first time booking through Rover and with Claudia. We have a trip coming up in January and needed care for our Border Collie. Today was our first daycare day and Raven loved it!!! Claudia sent me messages and videos throughout the day, which was really sweet. She’s so nice, and you can tell she truly loves the dogs and what she does. We’re looking forward to booking more daycare days and having her watch Raven while we’re on our trip. Thank you so much, Claudia!! ♥️♥️♥️”

“Nayeli was amazing with our little fur baby. He had lots of fun and eat well. I will definitely be booking with Nayeli again. Nayeli provided pictures and updates of our little one. She is awesome”

“Sayali, thank you very much for taking such a good care of my little dude. I can tell he really enjoyed the time he spent with you all. He loved playing with your dogs 😍.”

“Amazing!! She did so much with them, constantly sent photo’s and videos of what they were doing and the dogs were having a blast! I would highly recommend! Great with the dogs and an all around great person!”

“OK … so we’re a little nutty about our pup, but wanted to ensure Leslie knew what she was signing up for! Apparently, Maeve was an angel … settled in and enjoyed her visit. This is the first time - ever - we opted to board Maeve, and the day stay was a success … easing our minds about leaving her for two weeks. After today, we know we made the right decision with Leslie and Richard - a lovely, caring couple. Thank you!”

“Jennifer was and is awesome felt very comfortable leaving Rusty with her. It felt like home and he was a happy dog tired but very happy when he got home. I would not hesitate to have Jennifer again”

“Diana was very loving with Harley, showing him lots of affection. My senior dog struggles with separation anxiety and she put him at ease. I look forward to Harley staying with Diana again and would recommend her to others looking for care!”

About: I have owned and dog-sat, and consider them part of the family. I have always enjoyed being around dogs and the joy they bring to our lives. I am available all day, every day, including statutory holidays and vacations. Making sure there are plenty of potty breaks and playtime. I am flexible with Drop-off and Pick-up times I am home all day long and everyday and I always have availability for needing an extra day you need a longer stay let me know and I will modify your booking. I am used to cleaning up pee and poop in the house dogs are not potty trained. When feeding the dogs I separate the feedings I have a fenced yard and 1 friendly dog that will keep your best friend company with lots of playtime. I will always be outside with the dogs and sticking to the owner's routine and I am use to dogs not leash trained and heavy puller when walking in the backyard for potty breaks No dogs are off leash in the backyard because dogs don't recall dogs have to be leashed
“William and Hillary are great! Very accomodating and great communication. My 2 labs were there for daycare and they both had a great time. Their dog Bella is very friendly, everyone got along great!”

“Yarinka and her family took amazing care of Rosie! They sent so many updates and photos and communicated with me frequently throughout the day. I will definitely be asking them to watch my dog again :)”

About: I have loved dogs my whole life. I begged my mom for years to get one as a child, and ever since age 10 I have had a beagle almost non-stop. Currently, I have a 2-year old beagle named Floyd whom you can see on Instagram as The_Biking_Beagle. If you live or work in downtown London, it's possible you've seen us biking to the dog park, which we do almost every day. I raised him since 2 months old, so I have experience with puppies as well as senior dogs. My last dog Odie was a rescue from Kentucky, and he was likely about 8-10 years old when I got him. So I love dogs of all ages-and breeds. If you think your dog would like to join us on a bike ride to the dog park, that could be arranged. Either way, I will be happy to spend time with and walk your furry friend! I have a flexible work schedule that allows me to choose my hours. Let me know when you need, and I will make time for you. I have a very friendly 2 year old beagle who gets along with almost any dog and loves to play. I also have a beautiful and very talkative cat, who has her own space if necessary, but also loves to socialize if the dog is friendly to cats. But if not, she does have her own highway of ledges and cat trees and closet space so there is no worry about her safety. I am also happy to care for your cat or dog in your home. I love to play with and spend time with animals, so you can be sure your fur baby is in good hands!
“Amazing sitter! I had such a stressful day ahead of me including an appointment I absolutely could not miss. I was very nervous to leave my service animal with someone as she has severe separation anxiety and normally resorts to self harm due to past trauma leading to this separation anxiety. She is glued to me at all times and usually needs a hand physically on her in order to regulate I had to wait for a wait and save uber outside her home and thought for sure I would hear crying from inside shortly after I stepped out but I heard nothing like that and instead got adorable pictures of my senior high needs pup shortly after enjoying Katherine’s fenced in backyard. She looked so calm! When I got back my dog got super energetic when I first walked in but very shortly returned to a calm energy level and didn’t have any issues at all! I am amazed! While communicating with Katherine leading up to meeting, I checked in multiple times as I was very nervous despite all the wonderful reviews on her page because of the level of my dog’s needs/anxiety. I gave a full list of my dog’s needs/tips on how to care for her twice and both times she read through it fully and reassured me that she had the skills and genuine interest in keeping my dog regulated and making sure she had a chill hangout while I dealt with what I needed to while I was in town. I would absolutely recommend Katherine to anyone looking for a reliable, friendly and knowledgeable person sitter who is committed to creating a safe place for your pet 10/10”

About: Hey - I'm Virginia, and I would be honored to help take care of your pet! I provide most services including walks, drop in visits, house pet sitting, boarding, and day care, and I am also happy to discuss unique options. I have a flexible, work from home schedule. I have the most experience with dogs, including veterinary clinics, formal dog training skills, and dog walking. I love cats as well, but provide only drop in visits or house sitting at this time for cats. I am comfortable with almost all kinds of dogs and can handle reactive and energetic personalities, or particular health/social needs. I will keep you well updated during the visit. Please feel free to ask any questions! I am available most days except sundays and saturday afternoons and have a flexible schedule! So, I'll be able to keep a close eye on and give attentive care for your pet. I care for pets by looking out on their behalf. I will ask you for information regarding their needs, fears, and favorite activities. During walks, I keep them away from other people and animals who we don't know. I ensure they are hydrated and not stressed. I also maintain a calm demeanor, and I am very proactive in making decisions for their comfort and safety.
About: As a dog owner for over 4 years, I have hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, basic grooming, administering medications when needed, and providing a safe and loving environment. Caring for my own dog has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of understanding each pet’s unique personality and needs. I treat every pet like family and strive to make them feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide pets with consistent care, attention, and companionship throughout the day. Daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and potty breaks are already part of my routine, ensuring pets receive plenty of supervision and affection while in my care. Pets in my home are treated like part of the family. I live in a house with a secure fenced yard, giving dogs plenty of space to safely run, play, and explore. I also have a friendly 4 year old golden retriever who enjoys companionship and can be a great playmate for social dogs.
“Dawn was exceptional with Winnie. Being a first time puppy owner, I wanted to ensure I found a good sitter for her while I was at work. Dawn was amazing and I look forward to taking Winnie back!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have had dogs my entire life, primarily large breeds, so caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my daily life. I understand their needs, routines, and personalities, and I am comfortable handling everything from energetic, playful dogs to calmer companions who just want steady attention and affection. I currently have a friendly poodle who is used to being around other dogs and helps create a relaxed, welcoming environment for visiting pups. I’ve always had dogs and have experience with poodles, Dalmatians, and Labradors. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs with medical needs, including diabetes, seizure disorders, and Addison’s disease, so I’m comfortable with medications, routines, and watching for warning signs. I’m confident introducing new dogs and pay close attention to body language to ensure safe, positive interactions. My current poodle is well trained with excellent recall and is free on our farm, but visiting dogs are always kept safely on leash or long line unless otherwise discussed with owners. I also spend time at dog parks and have an invisible fence at the farm. Safety, supervision, and respecting each dog’s individual needs are always my top priorities. I provide care both in my London home and, when appropriate and with owner approval, at our family farm. In London, dogs enjoy a safe, calm, and structured environment with regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. At the farm, dogs have access to wide open spaces, fresh air, and safe, supervised outdoor time that many dogs absolutely love. I am experienced with feeding schedules, basic medications, and maintaining each dog’s normal routine so they feel secure and comfortable while you are away. I pay close attention to behavior and energy levels and will always flag anything that seems off. Whether your dog prefers couch cuddles or room to roam, I make sure their stay is tailored to what makes them happiest. I work from home many days each week and live very close to work, so I can easily pop home at lunch on office days. Our own dog is part of our daily routine, so feeding, outdoor breaks, playtime, and walks are built into every day. I always take our poodle for a 30 min walk. Dogs in our home are treated like part of the family. I follow each dog’s normal feeding schedule, walking routine, and any special instructions provided by their owner so they feel comfortable and settled. Dogs get regular outdoor breaks, daily walks, playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the day. Our home is calm, clean, and dog-friendly, with lots of space to relax and safe areas for play. We do have a fenced yard and a pool but can make sure dogs do not go into the pool (our dog avoids it). I supervise interactions closely, especially during meals and playtime, and make sure every dog has their own comfortable place to rest. Because I work from home many days a week and I live close to my work. When appropriate and with owner approval, I can also bring dogs to our family farm, where they can enjoy fresh air, wide open space, and safe, supervised outdoor time. Whether a dog prefers quiet cuddles or room to roam, I adjust their care to make sure they feel safe, happy, and at home.
“Kimberley was quick to reply upon our last-minute request for day care for Summit. She provided numerous lovely photos and Summit enjoyed having another dog there to interact with. We would highly recommend Kimberley as a dog sitter. Thank you!”

Faye was very accommodating. She was able to take in our dog for an early morning drop off. Since we had to leave home to travel out of town for a funeral we felt confident our dog would be taken care of after meeting her. Leaving him was easier knowing she would update us throughout the day and getting picture updates made us feel he was right at home. We were also happy to hear her dog was company to ours while we were away. Faye made sure she knew his rules and routines. We would definitely recommend Faye and leave our dog with her again.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Ingersoll commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 83% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
