Hey there! I am a mature and responsible PHD student and dog mom of 2 dogs and 1 cat. I’ve been a sitter here on Rover for 3 years with many satisfied cat and dog owners. I have been very fortunate to have many repeat clients. I love the cats and dogs that I look after as if they are my own! I have developed many special bonds with these furry friends- they become part of the extended family. I do drop in visits for cats and dogs, as well as dog walking. As I have my own pets at home; I am not available for overnights. I work from home and I am very flexible and open to your schedule and needs! I have a vehicle available for taking dogs for extended hikes and walks, or a dog park visit. As I have a provincial park pass, many of my doggo clients enjoy a hike at Komoka! I am willing to work with any type of dog or cat, of any size and any sort of temperament. I am very experienced with senior dogs as my oldest dog lived to 18-19 years old. When it comes to cats, I have experience with friendly and active cats who required lots of play and attention, including walks. Other cat clients prefer to keep their distance during their visit. I have experience administering meds for cats and dogs, including ear medications, oral meds, and asthma inhalers. Whatever your animal’s needs or temperament may be, I will be willing to work with them to ensure they are safe and happy while you are away or at work! As a pet owner myself, I understand how anxiety- inducing leaving your pet is. While pet sitting is an extremely fun job, I take the responsibility of caring for pets seriously. I treat all pets and homes as if they were my own. Meet and greets before your walk or drop in visit are always available for free to put your mind at ease. You can tell me all about what your furry family member needs and ensure we are a good match! More about my pet experience outside of Rover: I have had my own pets for the last 15 years. I grew up around dogs and cats my whole life. I absolutely love dogs and all animals. I walk my own dogs daily and have served as a dog walker and sitter for many of my friends and family. Hiking, walking, and running with my dogs is the absolute highlight of my day. Growing up, my brother (who is autistic) had his own service dog. This experience has taught me how to clicker-training and to use positive reinforcement to redirect negative behaviours.
