I've been an animal lover and advocate my whole life, growing up in a house full of pets-dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, turtles, and any other animals I could surround myself with! I worked in a pet store while in school and had the opportunity to learn about all kinds of animals, and meet and play with the animals that customers regularly brought in. Friends, family, and colleagues have consistently relied on me to look after their dogs and cats, particularly after becoming the resident dog-cat-plant-housesitter of my graduate school department over 10 years ago. I still regularly take on dog walking and animal feeding (including frogs and fish:) responsibilities, and I'm now broadening my services by joining Rover! I've taken care of dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds (Labs, Doodles, Huskies, Dachshunds), and I have several years of experience with senior dogs and cats as well. I'm comfortable and confident handling more fragile animals, as well as administering medications (I have experience with insulin, Cartrophen, and Librela injections; and oral medications and supplements). I'm happy to help with young pups and kittens too, including any training, crating, feeding routines you may have! My experience with them is only less than seniors because they grow up so fast:) I'll always respect the routines you have in place for your animals and take care of them as though they were my own. I love walking around the neighbourhood, and enjoy it even more when a sweet animal can join me! Spending time with your pet in your own home is a wonderful option that I welcome as well!

I highly recommend Katie! She was absolutely wonderful with my cat and checked in on her every day this week while I was away. Our experience with Katie was fantastic! She took wonderful care of both our dog and cat while we were away, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such caring and capable hands. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly treated our pets as if they were her own. We came home to two happy, relaxed animals, which says everything about the quality of care they received. Katie was a great sitter for my older cat Samuel! She perfectly followed his twice-daily medication and feeding schedule, and replied promptly in our correspondence. I would not hesitate to re-book with Katie in the future.
First of all we will absolutely be booking Katie again! She did a wonderful job of checking in on our cats and making sure my diabetic cat was well looked after. She sent updates when she did her check in with lovely photos (even of the kitty who is very skittish). Thank you for taking such good care of them!!
Katie is absolutely phenomenal and I recommend her without hesitation! She is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and manages my more difficult one with ease. She is an experienced dog owner and so kind and compassionate. I trust her implicitly and always feel confident that my dogs are receiving the absolute best care.

Schedule
I work full time and am primarily available for evening and weekend care, though I can be flexible with early mornings and special requests! I work fairly regularly 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday, though my schedule can be flexible, so I'll update my availability accordingly. I'm generally in the neighbourhood over the weekend and would love to walk or spend time playing with or taking care of your furbaby anytime Saturday-Sunday! Feel free to reach out for any particular requests and I'll do my best to accommodate:)
