About: Hi! My name is Elizabeth. Im a very patient, trustworthy person with a passion for animals. If you ask anyone that knows me they'd say I'm an animal lover. I've had animals throughout my whole life from dogs and cats to rats and birds. I've taken care of friends and neighbors animals whether that be walking them, exercising them- I've made arrangments to stop by to feed dogs and reduce some anxiety by playing, relaxing them and company. I've attended the Animal Care Aid Program learning more about the anatomy, interacting and body language of animals, and administering medications. I love taking care of animals and making sure they are getting what they need. Please contact me if I sound like a good fit for your furry family member. I am a part-time online student and work seasonal positions, which allow me to maintain a flexible schedule. I am available for walks and visits at various times throughout the day. When you entrust your pets to me, whether in your home or during walks, I will care for them as if they were my own. I prioritize open and transparent communication, providing regular updates and photos while you are away. I always keep my phone accessible, so please feel free to reach out with any questions. Whether it involves administering medications, exercise, or providing companionship, I am committed to maintaining their routines and ensuring their well-being.

About: I have been a foster dog mom for 8 years taking on everything from puppies with parvo, to dogs with all sorts of emotional issues. I have had many dogs in the past including chihuahuas, beagle, pitbulll, border collie and german shepards. Me and my husband lost our beautiful beagle to cancer at the age of 13.5. We would love to host and spoil your fur baby as we did with ours. Administering medication is no issues if needed. We moved to Victoria so our boy could retire in style and oh did he! We just loved him that much, we wanted to show him what living the best last years of his life would be like. We have a cozy space enough room for your pup to spend the night when their humans need to be elsewhere. We travel a ton and know exactly how stressful it is to trust someone with your furbaby. We will provide a peaceful and calm environment with lots of love and fun, We like to go on lots of walks, but also love to hang out at home. Outside of travel we hike, go camping, hang out at the beach. We recently relocated to Nanaimo! Me and my husband work from home, so we will be with your best friend 24/7. I have the ability to take you pup on frequenty potty breaks if that is necessary. We are very outgoing outdoorsy people and love to go for long walks, and hikes on the weekend. This includes sometimes a minimum 10km/day. We would love to bring your furry friend with us! Please ensure you pack your harness for the best experience possible! (This is a requirment) Bookings over 1 week require a day care or boarding trial first to ensure your pet is the right fit for us. Please note we do not accept doodles at this time. We provide a calm and safe space for your pup. I have obedience traning experience, puppy to senior experience. We live in a house with a fully fenced yard lots of space for fun. We also have a big field near us where we like to go play frisbee+ We have crate training experience. Dogs are allowed to snuggle on the couch or bed if they would like. Lots of pets and treats will be had to make them feel safe while in a strangers home please pack the treats and chews! No reactive dogs as we have a sweet puppy who would love a playmate.

“Brandy was great! We found her to be extremely communicative, very attentive to our fur-nephew, on time and flexible. She took him to off-leash dog parks and sent lots of photos of him having a great time. She reached out right away when he got a bit of a cut on his paw from running on ice, provided options and kept in touch. We will look to book her again if we have him stay over again. Her and Kojak were a fantastic break in his day and he started looking out the window for them in anticipation! No greater recommendation than the dog himself :)”

“Serena is so professional & amazing with our 2 very rambunctious springer spaniels ! She came in got the girls ready and off they went, the dogs loved being walked, and it really saved us so much time, with our busy lifestyles.”

About: We specialize in boarding small to medium dogs, sensitive fur babies, and pooches with medical conditions. Goldens, seniors, and energy-conserving larger dogs may also be considered. We take doggos up for the adventure on a 5K walk each day. Anxious dogs, who prefer their own space are easily accommodated in our large home & fenced yard. Your dog will have the run of the house, & sleep in our bedroom, just like at home! We typically host 1 to 2 furry guests at once to maintain a homey atmosphere where your pet can feel relaxed. My husband and I are both at home full-time to team host furry visitors, giving your pet the attention they deserve. My 30 years of experience as a Registered Nurse helps me provide quality care. If your dog prefers to join a pet lover's cat, smoke, child-free family over the chaos of a kennel this could be their home away from home! We typically board one dog at a time so your pet will receive plenty of attention in a relaxed, family atmosphere. We also accept dogs in doggy daycare. There are usually one to two furry guests in our home, which has plenty of hiking trails for your pet to explore literally at its doorstep! Your dog will have the run of our house and access to a fully fenced yard on demand. Expansive floor to ceiling windows and a pet door provide entertaining views and outdoor access. Our home is located in a hiking heaven! Your dog will have the opportunity to join us on daily hikes if that suits their lifestyle and will be cared for in a cat/smoke/child-free environment. We are both dog lovers and offer a homey atmosphere where your pet can feel relaxed. We don't kennel dogs unless their pet parents tell us they prefer to sleep in a kennel. I spent many years as a Registered Nurse and in Infection Prevention and Control and am comfortable providing your pet with their special diet and any of their medications.

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of our lives! Steve, my husband, and I are the go-to sitters for many of our friends’ pups, and we’re even the proud “dog godparents” to our best friend's golden retriever. We love having dogs around, and any pup that stays with us gets treated like family. We both work from home—Steve in the environmental field and me in social services—so your dog will always have company, whether for belly rubs, backyard zoomies, or just hanging out. Speaking of backyards, we have a fully fenced one with plenty of space to play! Plus, we live right by Holland Creek Trail, so your pup will get all the fresh air and adventure they could want. We’re an active household, so whether your dog is a cuddle bug or an energy machine, we’ll make sure they get the perfect balance of exercise and downtime. One quick note: We only take dogs (no cats, sorry!), since Steve has allergies. We also don’t have kids, which means a calm and consistent home environment. If you're looking for a sitter who will keep your pup safe, happy, and well-loved, we’d be thrilled to meet you! Steve and I both work from home, so your pup will have company all day. We take regular breaks for potty time, backyard play, and plenty of walks—especially since we live right by Holland Creek Trail. We love being outside and staying active, but we’re also happy to just have a dog curled up nearby while we work. Whatever your pup’s energy level, we’ll make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and included in our routine. Keeping your pup safe, happy, and relaxed is so important to us. Our home is a calm and loving space, with lots of supervision since we’re here all day. We have a fully fenced backyard for safe play, and we always make sure outdoor time is stress-free and fun. Walks are always on-leash, and we pay close attention to each dog's comfort level, whether they love exploring or prefer a slower pace. We also take the time to understand your dog’s unique needs—whether that’s sticking to their routine, offering extra cuddles, or ensuring they get the right balance of activity and rest. Our home is kid-free, so it’s a consistent and low-stress space, and we’re only open to dogs (no cats, due to allergies). Most importantly, we want you to feel at ease while you're away, knowing your pup is in caring, capable hands. We’re always happy to send updates, photos, and check-ins so you never have to wonder how they’re doing!

About: Hey, Im Jewel! Most of my life revolves around dogs. I can often be found petting them, walking them, training them and talking to them. I currently have 2 dogs; a yellow lab named Zoro and a golden retriever; Keeper. I am a positive reinforcement dog trainer as well as Dogsafe Certified (canine first aid). Almost every job i’ve had has been about dogs. Ive worked at a busy dog kennel, 2 different pet stores, dog walked/overnight sat, and pack-hiked up to 14 dogs at a time. I have also raised 5 puppies for the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides. This entails attending classes, teaching them basic skills and familiarizing them with the world. I then worked for the foundation where I taught the classes and assisted fosters with the training of the puppies. Each job, course & volunteer experience has taught me so much about dogs. I strongly believe in forming an equal relationship with these furry friends, using only positive reinforcement & force free methods. I have had to trust strangers with my dog so I understand how scary it can be. I always encourage a meet & greet with you and your dog, so we can make sure its a good fit and you can tell me all about their likes, dislikes, routine and behaviour! I currently offer boarding in my home! As well as both virtual and in person dog training. (see my website for more info: www. befriendyourdog. com) When boarding & walking your dog, I focus on enriching their experience.. with lots of sniffing, exploring, and taking in all the sights and sounds of the world. I often get "whos walking who?!" when I walk my dogs, and I happily say the dog is walking me. Because this time IS about them, and FOR them. I look forward to meeting you and your dog! I currently work from home, and live on a lake with access to beautiful moss covered trails! I always put the dogs first, getting them out first thing in the morning, feeding them, and enjoying each others company. I fit in two walks a day, plus engaged playtime and of course, lots of pets and cuddles! When coming to your home, I will be sure to follow any guidelines you provide me for your dog. Whether they are crated, in a specific room or free to roam, I will make sure to safely retrieve & return them. When out walking, I keep all dogs safely secure to either their standard leash, or a long line for more freedom. I encourage all dogs to have harnesses to avoid harm to their neck should they pull or lunge. I always carry a pet-first aid kit should anything happen away from home. As well as water & plenty of treats to reward them for any and all good choices.
