Dog Walkers in Lake Cowichan

About: We have had pets our entire life. Now retired and travel a few months a year, so currently without a pet because of our travels. Missing the love of our own pets (Scruffy lived to 17 and Cedes lived to 16). So we have decided that the love of your pets, would be lovely and would benefit all involved. We live 2 blocks from the beach, which gives the dogs a great run and or swim permitting of course :) My wife and I are both retired and walk to the beach everyday, would be nice to have a dog to walk with us. For the evenings it would be nice to cuddle up to a dog or cat. We live on the bottom floor of a pet friendly building, with access to a yard. We do have a wrap around deck with a 2 foot brick wall/planter that is gated to large partially fenced yard. Pics attached. We both have knowledge of caring for both dogs and cats.

About: I grew up on a ranch in southern Alberta, caring for multiple litters of kitties and their mama’s, our 4 dogs (German shepherd, great dane, husky and an unknown breed). I’ve also cared for livestock and children, so I like to think I have a keen understanding of the delicate needs of living things! This is currently my only gig while in university! My schedule is flexible toward morning and afternoon care depending on the day, and I’m happy to work out a schedule around my classes/ extracurriculars that best suits your fur baby’s needs. I have not done any Rover pet-sitting ventures yet! (First time) But was engaged with my own animals when we had them. At least 1-2 walks per day for dogs if they can tolerate it, respect for feeding, cleaning and sleep schedules, as well as gentle redirection in any areas of discipline that may require special attention.

About: My roommate Robyn and I love animals! We have experience with dogs big and small, and love getting outside for fresh air and exercise. Due to our careers involving shift work, we have occasional long stretches off which allows us to be super flexible to your schedule and needs! Please feel free to message me with any questions :) I work month on, month off. So when I am home I have lots of time to get outside, and can be quite flexible with my plans. Our apartment is pet friendly and we live a 5 minute walk from the Dallas Road off-leash area and the beach. Because of our schedule, there will always be someone home, and we both have our own vehicles. My routine when I’m home with your pet includes morning walks through the park and along the beach, some sort of adventure later in the day, and then an evening walk around the block or a sunset mission! Having your pup around makes me enjoy my home time that much more :) If I have to run errands during the day, your dog will love riding in my Astro van and lounging on the full sized bed in the back

About: I moved to Vancouver island from Salt Spring Island 4 years ago. I have 5 + years in the veterinary field industry which helps me provide care if need be to your beloved fur family member. I spend all my free time exploring the beautiful outdoors or cuddling up and watching a movie with my pups. I know the area now very well and would love to take care of your beloved doggies and show them some beautiful adventures and once we finish that, curl up on the couch and end the day with a movie and cuddles! Continuously hiking or cuddling on the couch while watching a movie, they will get lots of cuddles and lots of outdoor activities. They’ll feel very at home💜 I have two well behaved fur babies who are always looking to make new friends and give your fur babies company! They love making new friends!
