“Sjako and his family took wonderful care of our little Emilio. His kids were so sweet and gentle with our dog and they took Emilio out for a hike as well. We appreciated the great communication and the photos of our dog while we were away. Thanks so much!”

“Amy has taken excellent care of Arlo. He returned a very happy dog, because he received good attention from both Amy and her daughter. He was out at the dog park, which he loved!”

About: I have had a dog or taken care of dogs since I was a little girl. Family, neighbours and friends have all relied on me to help take care of their pets for many years. I am a huge animal lover and a health care worker and will always provide the best and safest care for your pup. Recently I have fostered some dogs through a local rescue and helped them find their new home. I have learned alot about behaviours and training with these pups. We love to play in the yard or go for walks, and have lots of snuggles on the couch :) I currently work part time so have lots of time available to spend with your dog! My flexible schedule allows me to board your pet overnight any day of the week, or drop in for visits/walks. I have a fenced back yard and two small dogs to keep your fur baby company! Your dog is welcome to treat our home as their own and I will give them lots of love and be devoted to their happiness and well being while you are away.
“As always, Lauren is amazing with Milanesa. She is so happy staying with her and her family. Milanesa has so much fun and feels very loved every time she stays with Lauren. We will definitely repeat next time.”

“Emily was very happy to have some pet pals. Linda’s Pet Inn is so inviting. Very clean & cheerful. Also secure high gate. Linda is calm & caring. Her own puppies are sweet. Very nice vacation place for my dog.”

“I'm soo happy that Ariel was able to watch my dog Cinnamon for a few days on pretty short notice. He kept me up to date on how it was going and provided pictures. Ariel also let me know that he was concerned that she wasn't eating much, but I said not to worry (it was hot those days and she isn't the biggest eater anyways). He has a lovely backyard to run and play!! Thank you 😊”

“Maggie was with Terry for a week and I usually worry because she is anxious around new people and being left but what a time she had! She seemed like she didn’t want to come home when I went to pick her up. She had lots of walks and off leash park time and playing in the yard; lots of cuddle time it seems. She even took to Jim, Terry’s husband right away- not one bark. It was an awesome experience for both of us. Thank you Terry for taking such great care of our Maggie ❤️ we’ll be back soon!”

“Nicole was super nice and kind! Mila was very well taken care of and came back home happy and relaxed. Nicole sent us pictures and kept us updated every day, which gave us so much peace of mind. We’re very happy with the care Mila received and would definitely recommend Nicole! ❤️”

“A big shout out to Sylvie-Ann and Stephane for the wonderful care of Huxley. Huxley has a few little issues and they made sure he was comfortable and happy. Their little Yorkshire Lilou (4lbs) and my 95lb Pitty cross enjoyed each other’s company. Lol. Thank you so much for taking care and hope to see you soon.”

“Jessica was great with Kira! I felt confident in leaving her there, she was very quick in responding and Kira was happy after a couple of days with Jessica. Its great she has a fenced yard where dogs can roam around safely.”

About: I worked at my local humane society back when I lived in Ontario where I was responsible for daily enclosure cleaning/maintenance as well as keeping an eye out for any unusual or concerning conditions. I handled the animals and made sure to give them some love while I could. It wasn’t my job to do that much, but I just love animals so much and that job brought me a lot of joy. Aside from that job, I’ve handled pets most of my life. I’ve had cats, dogs, and more personally for 13 years I had a conure, and for about 7 I had a rabbit. Because of this, I’m very experienced with birds and rabbits especially! I am great with cats too, but my household does have one. She’s an old lady that sleeps mostly and if needed can easily be kept away from any other animals. At home I currently live with a cat who belongs to my sister, but I am her auntie and spend tons of time with her and look after her in ways such as helping with her inhaler, helping clip her nails, brushing, and so on. If my sister is away for any reason, she is fully under my care. I have a spare room that is pretty well empty with just a guest bed next to my room in my house, and because I live with a cat with Asthma, I try to keep all spaces (especially that room) scent free. I also have no problem staying at a client’s place for a few nights if we’ve established some comfortability and familiarity. I don’t have supplies or enclosures on my own, so all that would have to be provided by the owner.
“Amazing!!!! I could tell Charlie felt so welcomed and loved for his stay. I will definitely leave Charlie with Kelly and Natalie again. In fact he’s already booked!”

“Tyler looked after Tori so well, and I am incredibly grateful! He was so kind throughout the whole time and gave Tori his full attention, which made me feel completely at ease. If I ever need a dog sitter again, I will absolutely choose Tyler without a doubt. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Tori!”

“We are so thankful that you took care of our beloved fur child! We felt he was very well taken care of, would recommend Anna and will be using her caring services often!”

About: I have cared for dogs and cats all my life and most recently, my bunny Joshua. My dog was diabetic for half of her life before she passed. I have experience administering medications and injecting insulin/needles. I am also a certified Veterinary Assistant. I am Currently working as a part-time veterinary assistant, I do not have a set schedule but only work 2-3 days a week(12-18 hours total). I offer loving and reliable drop-in or overnight visits to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. During my visits, I'll provide fresh food and water, playtime, walks (if applicable), litter box cleaning, and plenty of cuddles! “Dorothy is true gem. She took care of my cat (and for awhile, my dog) during a very chaotic and stressful time for me. She was very kind, and flexible during this unpredictable period. She sent pics of my pets to me everyday, which was so comforting. (She even found a toy that my cat, who doesn't "do" toys, seemed to enjoy.) Superlative pet care. Thank you Dorothy. I have no hesitation in recommending you in the highest terms.”

About: I have experience caring for cats with all kinds of personalities, from outgoing supervisors to quiet observers. I focus on calm, routine-based care and take the time to let cats set the pace. I’m comfortable administering medications, keeping litter boxes very clean, and following detailed care instructions. I pay attention to small changes in behaviour or appetite and adjust care as needed. You can expect thoughtful updates and photos, and the reassurance that your cat is being cared for in a way that feels familiar and low-stress.

About: Caring for cats is something I genuinely enjoy because I appreciate their unique personalities and the quiet trust they build with the people around them. I understand that cats thrive on routine and a calm environment, so I take a gentle, respectful approach that allows them to feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. My experience as a long-term pet caregiver has taught me how to read animal body language, respect boundaries, and create a low-stress atmosphere. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, litter box care, play and enrichment, administering basic care if needed, and most importantly providing companionship at the cat’s pace — whether that means interactive play or simply being a calm presence nearby. I pay close attention to subtle changes in behavior or appetite and will keep you updated so you have peace of mind. My goal is to make your cat feel secure in their own space and keep their routine as normal as possible until you return.

About: I have cared for cats my whole life, I currently have 2 fur babies myself and I now work at a vet clinic & animal shelter where I care for kittens and cats of all ages with many different needs. Depends of the preference of the other dog. I follow the instructions that the owners leave as each dog has its own routine and it’s important to keep them on that schedule. In order to make the dog feeling stable and safe.

About: I have over 7 years of experience caring for cats of all ages and personalities. From playful kittens full of energy to calm senior cats who need extra patience and attention, I know how to provide the right balance of love, safety, and comfort. I truly enjoy spending time with cats, playing with them, and building trust so they feel loved and cared for like they are my own

About: Experienced cat, dog and snake sitter! I have experience with difference temperaments so shy, anxious, or high energy are no issue at all (: My own cat ginger is 17 years old and still as spry as ever! I’ve cared for animals with health issues including preparing and giving medications, and helping with post surgical care. I grew up with cats, dogs, lizards, and rodents and absolutely love animals! Being away at university I don’t get to spend much time with pets, but I always jump at the opportunity to pet sit for friends!

“Our 2 year-old dog stayed with Danielle while we visited family and we knew she was in great hands. Danielle has a great fenced area for them to run and play and she is clearly very experienced with dogs and we will readily look her up again if we need sitting in the area again in the future.”

“Kristine was so accommodating… on a last minute booking. She welcomed Ruby with lots of love and enthusiasm. She sent us photos and updates which we we loved. Ruby was well cared for.”

About: I am 58yrs young and I live with my 6 months old puppy PACO. I have owned dogs, cats, horse, ducks, chickens or birds all my life and lived on a farm until I was 18. I love talking with my pets like they are humans. I love cuddling also. I am very active, therefore able to walk or run with a dog who needs it. I have trails to walk and a fenced area if needed. My puppy Paco Bear is great with other pets and of course loves to play. I live in a trailer and dogs can go on couches. I make sure to wipe paws and fur before roaming if dog comes in from the rain. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask! Hope to meet you and your ''extended'' family soon! I work part-time on a casual on-call basis for the Ladysmith Post Office on only 4 hour shifts per day usually. I am available on weekends and weekdays. I have trails to walk and a fenced area if needed. My Puppy Paco loves to play. There is a huge field in front of the trailer for dogs to play and run. I am located far away from the main road. There is a farm house on my right (which is not too close) with a few animals (like goats, chickens) but her home and farm is fenced in and no other animals can get in. She owns a dog but is always inside fence.
“Janice was amazing!!! I am from out of town and needed a dog sitter for the day… She was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Rusty had a great day and I was able to relax knowing he was in great hands. I would highly recommend her any day 100%”

“Took great care of my pup! He came home absolutely spent and very happy. I’d feel more than comfortable leaving him in Lindsay’s hands the next time we need someone to look after him!”

“Linda provided amazing care for my dog! Super helpful to deal with, accommodated my busy schedule, and my dog came back happy! Thank you so much for looking after my precious pup. I feel lucky to have found you, and will definitely be back again:)”

“Amy was great to book with and made it easy for me as I was visiting from out of town! She was able to accommodate a last minute daycare booking so I could go fishing with my Dad. She was fast and easy to communicate with and made the booking process easy and stress free. I would highly recommend booking with Amy.”

“Rebecca was a dream to work with! I observed that my basset hound felt so secure with her right away, and returned back to me so happy and calm. It was a perfect fit. I really appreciated Rebecca's communication and responsiveness. We will definitely be connecting again the next time we are in town - sincerely could not have asked for a better experience!! Thank you!!!!!”

“We were ultimately satisfied with the care Jenn and Adam provided for my two pups!! My first time using rover and dropping my dogs off so I was very nervous but they made the experience easily 12/10!! My dogs can be anxious and hard to warm up to new people, but they warmed up right away to them! They were so caring, respectful and understanding to our needs! Would send me updates for the dogs, took them on fun adventures and lots of love and snuggles. When we come back and need pet care I hope to be able to bring my furbabies to Jenn!! Thank you both so much for your excellent care”

“Karuna was absolutely amazing, it was the first time we ever left our puppy with someone else and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience! I was only out for a couple hours but still got text updates, photos and videos of my pup! I will definitely be booking Karuna in the future!”

“Kelly and Natalie were exceptional.... I'm sure most people would have given me the eye roll as I spilled out the details of how Lukas does this and how to do that with Lukas.... like a new mom leaving her baby for the first time... but Kelly and Natalie patiently listened and paid close attention.... I left feeling absolutely confident that Lukas was in good hands!! To top it all off.... he had an AMAZING time and came home happy and tired from playing with his new best friends. He loved going on his big outdoor adventure walk.... and I loved getting the pictures and video. I would highly highly recommend Kelly and Natalie. They are officially our go to when Lukas needs daycare! I can't say enough about how happy I was. Thank you!!”

“Loki absolutely loves his walks with you and it is a great help for me right now. I think he had found a real friend and I am happy that you know the stubborn little Scotties well:)”

About: I look forward to getting to know your pup, and helping you give them what they need, whether you are away, or are just swamped! I grew up, caring for the family's high energy German Shepherd and Border Collie. When I went to college, I began looking after friends' dogs over night: meals, town and trail walks, water playing, poop clean ups, bed time routines, tick checks in the evening while they settle in for the night. Since then, I have helped manage dogs in work camp settings, and in homes, for friends and coworkers. I have some experience with puppies, seniors and high stress dogs. I have house sat for single nights, weekends, and several weeks at a time, which I enjoy because it helps me get to know your dog better! I am tidy, respectful of your house rules, and I enjoy caring for houseplants when everyone is put to bed. I am living in Duncan, and working in Mesachie Lake. I am happy to do early morning walks, or walks and sitting afer 3:30 pm, throughout the week Monday -Friday. and full days on weekends. I am available for 30minute lunchtime walks in Lake Cowichan Monday - Friday. I am available to house sit upon scheduling request: weekends and weekdays are all fair game! I am respectful of homes, dogs needs and their stresses. For dog walking, I will walk dogs often in leashed areas. I enjoy bringing dogs to off leash trails -only upon your consent- if your dog has shown good recall, and is safe with other dogs and people. The safety of your dogs and other people is at the forefront of my priorities. I will keep you updated on your dog, on walks, checkups or dog sitting. Throughout the day, I'll check out your dog's poops, make sure they don't get into garbage, and following your rules for greeting dogs and other people. For dog sitting, I am attentive to the dog morning, noon and in the evenings. I will not leave the house for more than 4 hours on weekends. I will play with them inside and outdoors, and ensure they get frequent pee and poop breaks.
About: Caring for animals has been a meaningful part of my life for many years, and I approach pet sitting with the same attentiveness and responsibility I would want for my own pets. I was a devoted dog owner for 14 years to my beloved beagle, caring for her through every stage of life — from daily exercise and enrichment to senior care and comfort. That experience shaped my understanding of how important patience, consistency, and emotional awareness are when looking after animals. I’m experienced with small dogs and cats and comfortable managing feeding routines, walks, playtime, administering basic care, and providing companionship so pets feel secure while their owners are away. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs, whether they’re energetic and playful or more relaxed and independent. My goal is always to create a calm, safe environment where pets can stick to their routines and feel at ease. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and communicative, and I treat every home with respect and care. I work primarily from home on my laptop, so my schedule is flexible and I’m generally present for much of the day. This allows me to maintain your pet’s usual feeding, medication, walking, playtime, and bedtime routines while providing regular companionship. I do leave the home for errands, appointments, personal activities, and occasionally other scheduled pet-care visits. Before accepting a booking, I’ll confirm how long your pet can comfortably be left alone to ensure their needs are compatible with my schedule. My days are typically calm and structured, making my care especially suitable for pets that enjoy a relaxed environment and consistent routine. While I’m happy to accommodate reasonable care requirements, pets needing continuous supervision or who cannot be left alone should be discussed before booking. I provide house sitting in your pet’s own home, where they can remain comfortable in familiar surroundings. I work from home, so I’m generally present and attentive throughout the day while still coming and going for errands and appointments. For overnight stays, I require a clean, sanitary, and reasonably tidy home with a comfortable sleeping space prepared before my arrival. This includes freshly laundered bed linens, clean towels, and access to a clean bathroom and functional kitchen. Essential utilities and appliances must be working, and doors, windows, fences, and gates must be secure. Housekeeping or preparing the home for my stay is not included in the pet-sitting service. Please disclose any household concerns, maintenance issues, indoor cameras, or areas that are off-limits before the booking. I also require an honest and complete description of each pet’s health, temperament, routines, training, and behaviour. Pets should be reasonably clean, and the home must be free from fleas, bedbugs, or other infestations. Any history of aggression, biting, resource guarding, escape behaviour, separation anxiety, or indoor accidents must be disclosed before I accept the booking. Clear care instructions, emergency contacts, adequate food and supplies, and current veterinary information must be provided. My goal is to give your pets calm, consistent care while treating your home responsibly and respectfully.
“Dorothy was very dependable and friendly. Winnie enjoyed her day at Dorothy’s home. Winnie went on a 1 hour walk and felt very comfortable with Dorothy. I will rebook for sure!!”
About: Hi, I’m Carley! I grew up on a farm up north, where caring for animals was part of everyday life. From pigs, chickens, rabbits, cows, horses, and sheep to dogs and cats, being surrounded by animals from a young age shaped my passion for animal care. In these roles, I care for a wide variety of animals including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits, snakes, hamsters, ferrets, rats, mice, and guinea pigs. Working in both veterinary and shelter environments has given me hands-on experience in animal handling, husbandry, monitoring health and behaviour, and providing compassionate care for animals of all ages and needs. I truly love all animals and always go the extra mile for the ones in my care. I currently work full time, but even though I can only stop in twice a day I will always go the extra mile to make sure they are happy, healthy and safe before I leave I am safe, respectful, reliable and trustworthy. I will always make sure your babies are cared for thoroughly and accordingly to their dietary, medical, or other necessary needs. I will always make sure they know they are loved and leave them with a sweet treat (if allowed) before I go. I can’t wait to meet your little fur family members. Talk soon!(:
