About: Hi, I’m Carley! I grew up on a farm up north, where caring for animals was part of everyday life. From pigs, chickens, rabbits, cows, horses, and sheep to dogs and cats, being surrounded by animals from a young age shaped my passion for animal care. I currently work at a veterinary clinic as a Veterinary Assistant, as well as at a local animal shelter as an Animal Care Attendant. In these roles, I care for a wide variety of animals including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits, snakes, hamsters, ferrets, rats, mice, and guinea pigs. Working in both veterinary and shelter environments has given me hands-on experience in animal handling, husbandry, monitoring health and behaviour, and providing compassionate care for animals of all ages and needs. I truly love all animals and always go the extra mile for the ones in my care. I currently work full time, but even though I can only stop in twice a day I will always go the extra mile to make sure they are happy, healthy and safe before I leave I am safe, respectful, reliable and trustworthy. I will always make sure your babies are cared for thoroughly and accordingly to their dietary, medical, or other necessary needs. About: I have cared for dogs and cats all my life and most recently, my bunny Joshua. My dog was diabetic for half of her life before she passed. I have experience administering medications and injecting insulin/needles. I am also a certified Veterinary Assistant. I am Currently working as a part-time veterinary assistant, I do not have a set schedule but only work 2-3 days a week(12-18 hours total). I offer loving and reliable drop-in or overnight visits to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. During my visits, I'll provide fresh food and water, playtime, walks (if applicable), litter box cleaning, and plenty of cuddles! I'm passionate about ensuring your furry friends are happy and well-cared for while you're away.

About: 15 years as a cat owner, dog training experience, and medication skills. Can provide personalized, stress-free care with constant updates, genuine affection, and attention to routine. Will make sure pets feel safe, happy, and truly at home. Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine. I’m fully available on weekdays for walks, visits, and sitting, and I can provide attentive care before or after my 7–3 weekend shifts. I will care for pets in their home by keeping routines consistent - feeding, walks, playtime, and litter care. All while providing companionship and keeping the space clean. I also send regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured their pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

When working in the office I commute to Nanaimo, which means I can provide home care to pets from Shawnigan Lake to Nanaimo. I focus on creating a safe, calm environment for pets, both in my home and in clients’ homes. I stick to routines, follow instructions carefully, and pay close attention to safety on walks and at home. I’m respectful of clients’ spaces and keep things clean and secure. You’ll receive regular updates so you can feel confident your pet is well cared for.
