About: I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses and have cared for animals my entire life. I’m comfortable with puppies, large breeds, and senior pets, and I offer calm, attentive care. Since I work from home full-time, pets get consistent supervision, routine, and plenty of affection. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. Walks, feedings, playtime, and check-ins are spaced throughout the day, allowing for consistent supervision, attention, and a calm, predictable environment. I prioritize a calm, predictable environment and follow each pet’s established routine. In my home, pets are supervised and cared for in a clean, low-stress setting. In clients’ homes, I respect their space, follow instructions closely, and provide attentive, reliable care with regular updates.

“Dorothy was very kind, I appreciated getting updates and pictures from her visit with my pups. She even took on my daughters little dog at the last minute which was so nice of her.”

“Tara did a drop in visit and dog walk with Haru while I was away for most of the day. She took him on a lovely walk and sent me pictures of their adventure. I came home to a very content pup. Thank you for all the amazing care Tara!”

About: I had the chance to do some travel for an extended stay this winter through thr house sitters of Canada and sat with 1 dog and 2 cats for 4 months and I absolutely loved it. I frequently babysit 4 dogs: 2 Jack Russell and 2 doberman pinschers... I love high energy animals and I am more than comfortable dealing with large and small animals of any type. I grew up around lots of animals on a acreage and I think they deserve as much care and attention as a humans if not more. I have lots of experience with specific routines with animals and I like consistency in my life which plays a big role in my animal care. I want to provide lots of love and energy to any animal I meet as if it were my own. I am a red seal chef and if your animal has a special diet, I can prepare that and more if needed. I am willing to travel and have a vehicle for such occasions that is animal friendly. If there were any other tasks that needed to be done. I take pride in doing my best work in every aspect of my life and your animals with be treated with the utmost respect and love. I have always tried to make time for furry four legged friends and I find it very fulfilling for me to settle into a routine that benefits the animals I see. If it's a dog on a patio I happen to be serving or even a lost dog on the street I would give the utmost care needed in any situation. I would love to meet some animals that are energetic so we could benefit eachother. I would be on alert if going into a situation that I didn't know. Using a leash always and being cautious around other animals I don't know whilst with your animal would be a priority. Whilst in your home I would be careful and cleanly as I would in my own home. Routines are key to consistency in any situation.
“Jillian is such a sweetheart, and my girl Roxy really seems to like her. She stayed with Roxy while my partner and I went out for dinner as Roxy has separation anxiety and Roxy was chill and slept while we were gone! Would recommend Jillian to anyone!”

About: Note: Price discussable. I´m flexible and happy to travel (in BC/AB) - longer stays preferred. I can gladly provide excellent references from a Petsitting platform (8 petsits) and Workaway (3 petsits). Feel free to reach out - I’d be happy to chat and share more! --------- I’ve had the chance to care for several homes and beloved pets in Canada since June 2025. It’s been an incredibly fulfilling experience so far, I have already worked with 10 workaway hosts, and each stay was a unique experience. I take pride in being gentle, reliable, and tuned in to each animal’s unique personality. In September 2025, I spent an entire month volunteering at an animal farm sanctuary, where I learned a great deal about rescued animals and those with special needs. It was a deeply enriching experience that expanded my understanding of more than ten different farm animal species. I care deeply about treating every animal with respect and love, and I always take time to understand their unique personalities and needs. As a experienced workaway traveler and petsitter, I’d be glad to provide references and extra information from my other profiles - just let me know! I´m a work and traveller from Germany, I finished my bachelors degree in business psychology mid November 2025. I plan to find a parttime remote job, so I´m very flexible about caring for pets. As a traveling house sitter and workaway, I adapt quickly to new environments and routines. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, cuddles, or keeping the house clean and cozy, I treat every place as if it were my own. I love creating a calm and loving environment for pets while their owners are away, and I’m always happy to help with extra tasks like watering plants or garden work.
About: Hi my name is Susannah Garrett. I would be overjoyed to assist you in the care of your beloved pet. I have six wonderful pets (cat, ducks, gerbils) of my own and I also am an avid walker so would genuinely love taking your doggie for a fun walk in the neighbourhood. I used to take dogs for walks when I worked on a farm in Saanich and it was so rewarding. I will make sure your dog has water, and is cleaned up after. I am happy and willing to take your dog out in all kinds of weather too. I live in a great location with lots of trees and clean air. Please consider me if you need a dog walker or house sitter in the Rockland/Oak Bay/Fairfield area. I also was a gardener (as co-owner of Edibella Organic Landscapes) so I have decades of experience caring for plants. I have a flexible schedule as an artist, garden designer, environmental charity worker, home-maker, child care giver, and mother so I can pet sit/dog walk anytime from late morning on, as long as I am in town. I would love to give you a break and take your wonderful doggie out to get his/her exercise and fresh air! I love dog walking but am happy/ open to the possibility of house/pet sitting while you are away too! I have provided this service many times before and have references beyond those listed here. I am happy to discuss options..
About: Animals are wonderful beings! They have a way of reminding us to slow down, be present and get outside. Having been without pets for quite a number of years, I am missing their presence in my life. I grew up with poodles, springer spaniels and terriers. I had two cats of my own (Ruth and Monica) and loved them dearly. I'm considering a move to a quieter (and more rural) part of Vancouver Island and am looking to explore some of the areas outside of Victoria and house/pet sitting is a great way to get a feel for other communities. I'm also interested in exploring areas of the BC interior. I'm a devoted, reliable, dedicated animal lover and I take pride in doing any project to the best of my ability. I have a care-giver background, having worked in dental health and as a yoga teacher for many years. I have lots of experience with landscaping and I love to garden. I love building connections with people & animals. I am 'trauma-informed' and am familiar with 'Force Free' training principles. I'm comfortable with older pets and giving some meds as needed also. I've recently received a refresher with chicken coop care --gathering eggs, cleaning and maintaining the coop as well. Let's touch base with a phone call first to get a sense of each other. From there, if the 'fit' feels good--I'm happy to meet up in person on Vancouver Island. Alternatively, we can meet on video to get a feel for each other also. Looking forward to caring for your precious animal friends. I'm working on some entrepreneurial and writing projects (WFM) so I'm happy to take pups out in the morning and evening for walks, and longer hikes on the weekend too! I love to hike and explore rural and forested areas. Exercise is an essential part of each of my days and I'm happy to continue the exercise routines that you have in place for your pets :). Breaks for 'play' time are great for pets and for humans too! As a detail oriented person with a healthcare background, I understand the importance of providing the highest level of care to your pets. All of my airbnb references are 5 star, as I believe in the importance of leaving a place better than you found it. I've got fantastic personal references also. I'm registered with THS and House Sitters Canada. I've got a recent police check also. I'm more than happy to meet and review things in detail over zoom or meet up in person on Vancouver Island. I'm happy to provide consistent, reliable and loving care with your detailed guidance and instructions. As a former health-care worker (dental assistant and dental hygienist), I understand the importance of detailed, compassionate care and supporting your pets needs and regular routines.
