“Kate is awesome! They are friendly, communicative, reliable, and very good with our pup. They helped with dog sitting when Petunia was a very young puppy and was super helpful in ensuring consistency in her care and training. They also take P on walks regularly and I’m grateful to have someone we can trust with our dog and in our home.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I recently said goodbye to my two senior pets, my sweet greyhound and my talkative Siamese/Himalayan mix, who lived to 14.5 and 17. After years of loving and caring for them, I find myself missing the daily rhythm of walks, meals and quiet cuddle time. That’s why I’ve joined Rover: to share my time and care with other people’s beloved pets. I’m experienced with senior animals and pets with special needs. I’ve helped with mobility issues, administered oral medications, applied ointments, and handled daily routines with gentleness and patience. I’ve also walked and cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments including golden retrievers, border collies and amstaffs. So I’m comfortable adjusting to different personalities and energy levels. Along with my personal experience, I’ve also provided pet sitting and drop-in visits for friends and family over the years, caring for both dogs and cats of all ages. If you’re currently working on training, I’m happy to help support your efforts by providing consistent, positive reinforcement during our time together. I believe in treating every pet with kindness, patience, and encouragement. I work in communications and marketing. With a hybrid work environment, I have the flexibility to support your pet’s needs. I’m dependable, communicative, and committed to making sure both you and your pet feel supported. Happy to offer meet & greet at your home (if it’s for drop-in service), parks and public spaces to ensure you and your pet are comfortable with me.

“Erica is calm and kind with our new pup Indie. She is understanding and takes the time necessary to allow for a puppy to adapt to new surroundings and people. We got an amazing update and photo shoot following Erica's walk with Indie which was very much appreciated on Indie's first day home alone! Thanks, Erica!”

“Rhiannon is very professional, quick to respond, and cares for animals as though they were her own. Logan is always so excited when he gets to see her for his walks. I appreciate all the details of how the walk went and know that our pup is in the best hands.”

“Ross was fabulous with our nervous doggo, and took really great care of her while we were out of town. He communicated with us quickly and consistently and kept us updated every day on how everything was going. We will definitely be asking Ross for his care again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for over 5 years, including raising a Labrador Retriever back in China. I’m familiar with feeding, walking, bathing, and keeping dogs happy and calm. While I currently live in an apartment and cannot offer dog boarding, I’m more than happy to help with dog walking and daily visits. I truly enjoy being around animals and always treat them with patience and love. I currently work part-time with a flexible schedule. I’m available for dog walking or cat sitting everyday after 12:00 PM. I enjoy stay with pets! I live in a bright and sunny two-bedroom apartment — it’s a perfect environment for boarding cats. But I do not offer boarding dog because of my apartment rules. However, I’m very careful when visiting pets in their home. I always follow instructions, give them space, and make sure they feel safe and loved.

About: I’m currently a student at NSCC with a passion for animals. I have 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs and a family dog at my parents. I’ve been pet sitting and caring for friend’s and family’s animals since I was a kid. I have a BSc in Bioveterinary Sciences with a certificate in animal welfare, so I have a fundamental understanding of your pets safety and wellness. I’m comfortable administering medications, senior care, puppies/kittens, training, and so much more. I look forward to chatting with you! I’m currently on summer break from college, and until I find a part time job I am available any day, any time. Wether its early morning walks or a weekend stay, I’ll be there. I have two friendly cats who keep to themselves for the most part, my guinea pigs are in an enclosure. I have a backyard, although not completed fenced in, I do have private lake access for any water dogs. Regardless of location, I prioritize a calm and secure environment tailored to your pets needs. I follow your schedule and routine to minimize stress, ensure enrichment is provided and of course exercise. While I am not pet first aid certified, I do know basic first aid and how to respond to choking. I will ask for you to provide emergency numbers. Your pets safety and happiness comes first.

About: I'm here to give your furry family the care they deserve, especially while you’re away which can be stressful for both sides. I grew up with dogs so am familiar with their needs and have cared for a smattering of random creatures like a turtle, hamster, and even a parrot. Since I was 9 years old, neighbours trusted me to visit their homes and care for their pets while they were out traveling. I am also happy to send update photos of their life while you're gone! Most of my exposure to pets is within the 2yr to senior age range so puppy training is not in my skillset. As for meds, I have experience with giving pills and medicated ear drops to both dogs and cats. My phone alarms are practically my life force, so you can trust I won’t miss a feeding time, potty break, or belly rub session. Your pet is in safe, reliable hands. I believe in meeting pets where they are.🐶For a dog, I’ll bring the energy and playtime. For a cat?😽 I understand they might just want to be left to contemplate life while perched on top of the fridge because....boundaries. Rest easy that I’ll get to know your pet’s unique personality and tailor my approach, because I'm the guest in their space!

Yue J.
“I am writing to express my sincere recommendation for Yue, a truly compassionate and attentive individual who has demonstrated exceptional care and dedication in looking after small pets—especially during times when they need it most. During the period when Yuanbao, a British Shorthair Golden Chinchilla cat, fell ill, Yue went above and beyond in providing round-the-clock support and care. She administered medication on time every day without fail, stayed by Yuanbao’s side to offer comfort, and closely monitored his recovery progress. Her calm presence and constant companionship made a meaningful difference in his healing process. What impressed me most was Yue’s meticulous attention to detail. She kept thorough, daily records of Yuanbao’s physical condition, including his breathing rate and behavioral changes—information that proved valuable in communicating with veterinarians and adjusting care routines accordingly. Her ability to remain both emotionally supportive and clinically observant is truly rare. Yue’s love for animals is deeply genuine, and her actions reflect a level of responsibility and empathy that is hard to find. I have complete confidence in her ability to provide thoughtful, reliable care to any pet. If you have any questions or would like to discuss her qualifications further, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Warm regards, Yujia,Quan.”

Haley B.
“I've had Haley look after my cat a few times now and have nothing but positive things to say. She's very communicative and quick to respond. The last time my cat was on a few medications, which I was hesitant to leave with someone, however everything went well and she provided regular updates during the stay!”

Dartmouth dog parents share their Rover experiences
Ben was incredible! He took amazing care of our dog Lennox and cat Milo while we were away—walking Lennox, including great outings to the local park, feeding both pets, and giving them lots of love and attention. He kept us regularly updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear our pets were happy, relaxed, and in the best hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly, highly recommend Ben!

Dana is amazing… a dog lover for sure with two of her own. I felt very confident Chloe would be well cared for. Chloe was very happy to go for a walk with her and I think was fairly well behaved on the walk. Thanks again, Dana. I work from home so don’t need Chloe to be walked regularly, but it’s so nice that you are close by. I’ll be reaching out about next week. You are the best!
