“Thank you JoAnn for taking care of the dogs. They were comfortably staying with her and Peanut. JoAnn had provided us updates during the day. Will definitely ask for JoAnn's help again in the future.”

“Unfortunately, my dog has anxiety which defeated her today, so she wasn't able to stay for the day. But Amber tried really hard to calm her, and in a different circumstance, I would absolutely entrust a dog to her. She was very patient and understanding and communicated well with me.”

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover and proud dog mom with over 35 years of experience caring for pets—especially dogs with special needs. I’ve had the joy of sharing my life with five amazing pups, each with their own unique challenges, and I’ve cared for them from their early years all the way into their senior days. Over the years, I’ve also had a bunny, two guinea pigs, and even a pet snake—so I’m no stranger to the quirks and personalities that make each animal special and I'm happy to care for your littler ones too! Just reach out and we'll work out pricing based on your needs. When it comes to meeting new dogs, I always let them take the lead. I believe in a calm, respectful approach that gives them space to come say hello when they’re ready. I’m very in tune with dog body language, and I always prioritize their comfort and safety. Whether your dog is big, small, shy, bouncy, or somewhere in between, I’d love to get to know them and give them the care and attention they deserve. I'm currently semi-retired so I'll have plenty of availability and time to spend with your fur babies. I prefer bookings 1 week in advance but I'm flexible, I understand that sometimes life gets in the way! I have experience with senior dogs who need a little more time and assistance, especially taking breaks as needed on their walks and reading body language for cues on discomfort. Also administering oral medication and drops, cleaning up accidents, and following restricted diets. I follow the house rules when sitting at your home, and will walk your dog in your neighbourhood. My home is dog-proofed with multiple dog beds and even doggie steps for smaller pups who might need help reaching the couch :). My backyard is fully fenced and dog-safe, and dogs will get multiple walks per visit (depending on the length of their stay) either at the park or in the nearby trails.

“Chester has a fantastic time whenever he is at Joann and Francis's home. He absolutely loves Rosie, their little pup, and they have a blast together. He comes home tired and happy.”

“Holy wow, lucky on this find. First time getting a sitter and was nervous. It quickly dissipated once I arrived. Brianna had a tiny dog of her own and instant lil buddies. I knew from demeanour of her dog and Brianna, I could go fairly worry free for the day 😁. And pupdates (vids and pics) calmed the last remaining nerves. Would 💯 recommend! My dog came back tired and happy. #perfect”

About: Hi there! Born and raised in Calgary but currently living in the UK, I’m home for a few months to be with family, and while I’m here, I’m really missing my own dog—a 4.5-year-old goldendoodle who’s back in the UK. Caring for dogs is second nature to me: I raised my goldendoodle Henry from the time he was a puppy, and I also grew up with standard poodles, so I’m very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Whether your dog loves long walks, river swims, time in the park, or just quiet company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and at ease while in my care. I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your dog, and I take that responsibility seriously. I am working completely remotely, with a highly flexible schedule, meaning your pup will never be alone and I’m happy to accommodate your schedule. Looking forward to meeting you and your pup! I’m working 100% remote and have a very flexible schedule. I am building my schedule around dog care - I am extremely active, and love to keep busy. While in my care, I will prioritize your dog’s happiness and safety, and they will not be left alone. I am staying in my family home, which has an open yard near a wooded area and is near a river for safe swims in the inlet where the current is weak. In my family home, lives a 6 year old Coton de Tulear, named Coco. Coco is wonderful with other dogs—she is very aloof until convinced to play. She loves large dogs and small dogs alike.

About: As a holistic health practitioner and lifelong animal lover, I bring a calm, caring presence to every pup I meet. Whether your dog is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, I meet them where they’re at, offering walks, cuddles, playtime, and lots of love. Your dog will be treated like family, with personalized care, clear communication, and thoughtful attention to their unique needs. I’m here to make their time away from you feel safe, relaxed, and joyful. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so pet care easily fits into my daily routine. I walk myself 3 times a day and often like to explore. Walks, playtime, feeding, and cuddle breaks naturally blend into my flow, and I always make sure each pet gets the attention and love they need. Whether it’s a calm companion or an energetic pup, I can meet them where their at. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat both the animals and the space with deep respect and care, as if they were my own. I ensure your pets get lots of outdoor time and exercise for a good night's rest! I take time to connect with each pet so they feel safe, seen, and loved while their family is away. Cleanliness, communication, and calm presence are my priorities, so you can feel confident and at ease knowing your pet (and home) are in nurturing hands.

About: I started taking care of pets 30 years ago with my first dog an all black long haired German Shepherd & my first cat a tabby stray we brought in & named Tiger. I work from home & go for walks every lunch hour & after work so I would love to take your pup with me! It would also be nice to have the company of a pet if you need daytime care. Available most weeks for overnight care. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I have a park close by which I like to walk to or along the river. Backyard is not fenced.

About: Hello, Cooper and Mark here! Hoping to make best friends with your pets. We specialize in 1 pet family at a time so your loved ones can’t get all our attention! We love to walk, car rides and just the comfort of a nice big backyard. We also work from home so we’ll always be around. We’re open for just about anything and have raised dogs, cats and other pets though-out our lives. From potty training, crate training, and providing different medications. At our home we are okay with pets on our furniture, or sleeping in our bed. We also provide a big yard with different types of turf - rocks, grass etc to make your pet feel comfortable. We also are surrounded by parks and nature trials I work from home, and we can go walking loads so having any dog would be a perfect fit for us as we can provide the correct amount of attention. We also can do house sitting/lodging for extended period of time. We have a fenced yard, decent size for running plus within walking distance of great paths and dog parks! Home is smoke free and pets are allowed on furniture and in our bed.

About: I’m a lifelong dog owner with a genuine love for every pup. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to gentle seniors. I’m attentive, patient, and adapt to each dog’s needs, ensuring they receive plenty of affection, exercise, and a comfortable environment. Your furry friend will be treated like family in my care. I’m a stay-at-home mom of two boys aged 3 and 6. They’ve both been around dogs of all sizes and ages their whole lives and are very gentle with animals. Because I’m a stay at home mom, we’re always around so pups are never left alone. We live an active lifestyle, so lots of adventures & walks are guaranteed! We have a fully fenced yard that backs onto a large green space, as well as a 14 month old mixed breed female pup (who adores all other animals and people). She loves having new friends coming over to play!

About: My name is Julie, We have our golden boy Jasper, who is a goldendoodle and is two and a haft year, He is neutered and is such a friendly pup and loves to have friends for day care :) But he stays at home if I’m needed to drop in or walk your pups, dogs, cats… hey I use to walk my cat in NS haha I’m here for it all and always challenge my self to new and def opportunities as well as I rise to any challenge that comes my way. I’ve been working on my new skills with grooming our own dog every second visit from the groomers in town and would be able to do some free trimming while taking care of your pet if needed no problem with request as I’d need to bring my tools unless there staying for the day care and after have had met you furr friends a few times before hand for your pets to become more comfortable with me first :) I have also recently taken a dog behaviour and training course and doggy chef course and can train your pet during my visits or our walks. Until then I look forward of meeting your furr friends and your self and taking good care of your pets for you as I have my own and know how much love they need and care. I currently work shift at work and can book days off monthly if set ahead of time if requesting for regular booking and have the privilege to as well to manage my own schedule and switch my shifts around if availability is available to accommodate taking care of pets if your going out of town, as my career is quite def then the norm and we just have to follow some rules to do so, but the down side of this is I’m always working holidays, most weekends and the busy time of the year with March break and summer but can also request specific days off of the week a month at a time if clients are weekly or monthly. I always bring our boy to the river off leash and also the ranch trails and carry wild animal spray and have bear spray with me at all time to best protect our selfs but wouldn’t take your pets out unless authorized to do so! I’ve taken pet first aid course online and also bad behaviour course so I can always have fun with your pets with trying to teach them new tricks and helping with some bad habits if needed and also only if I’m told to that it’s okay as well of course. Our morning routine is we walk jasper around the block every morning and to explore the surrounding trails that our amazing neighborhood has to offer, we are a very high energy family and are always on a mission for the next best thing and are very positive people my husband and I :) With some directions of the owner I will make sure your furr baby is loved and not stress and use my techniques from my pet courses and make sure they are happy and can’t wait for our next play date and refresh there water, make sure to lock everything up to keep the stranger danger away so there safe for there owner to come home too. I also carry a pet corrector spray that’s just noise incase there were to have any dispute with any other dogs while walking your pup or if that’s staying with us for a day care as well to make sure that the pets play nicely with each other with our dog Jasper.
