About: I've grown up around and have had lots of dogs throughout my life. I've had experience caring for all kinds of dogs big and small. I can also manage multiple dogs at once, and can give each pup tons of attention and love. I have a very open schedule both weekdays and weekends. I'm home from college right now, staying with my parents, and have my own car for any transportation. I live in a neighborhood with a large dog park, and plenty of trees and bushes to sniff. If necessary I have a medium-large sized crate.

“Winnie loves her walks with Amanda! Amanda has been wonderful, great communication and always shares cute pictures. She’s been able to adjust schedule as needed. Highly recommend!”

“Thank you for being so gentle with Tornado he is so afraid of noises and cars, so unlike his brother. Your care and compassion with my little fellows means so much. Thank you!!”

About: I adore animals and find joy in providing calm, caring support for pets of all kinds. I enjoy creating a peaceful environment where pets can feel safe and comfortable, and I feel extra comfy in meeting shy or reserved pets where they are, offering gentle introductions, following their routines, and giving them space to relax and settle. I love spending time with pets in their own homes, whether it’s having a bit of playtime, or sharing quiet moments and simply being present with them. I also enjoy peaceful walks in local spots like Foxhaven and Monticello and would be happy to bring your dog along to explore these beautiful places. If your pet prefers a calming stroll around the neighborhood, I’m just as content with that too. I’m comfortable with routine feeding, litter box care, and generally giving plenty of love and attention to help your pet feel at ease while you're away. Pet care naturally fits into my day-to-day life. Right now I work part-time, which means I have all of Tuesdays and Thursdays free, as well as plenty of time on weekends. These days are perfect for leisurely walks, cozy cuddle sessions, and any further attention your pet may need. Beginning June 1, summertime will bring even more flexibility to my schedule. This will allow me to offer more personalized care and be more present for your pet throughout the week, whether it’s a midday walk or just some extra quiet time together. I’m here to help your pet feel happy, comfortable, and cared for in a way that’s tailored to them. When caring for pets in my home, I do my best to create a calm, safe, comfy environment where they can feel relaxed and at ease. I make sure there’s plenty of space for your pet to feel like they’re part of the family, tailor activities to each pet’s personality, whether that means a cozy spot for rest or engaging play sessions, and of course ensure they have everything they need, from food and water to any special instructions you may have provided. When caring for pets in your home, I prioritize maintaining their routine and keeping their space familiar. I’ll follow any specific instructions you provide for feeding, walks, and other care, ensuring that they feel at ease in their own environment. I take the time to connect with your pet in a calm, gentle manner, offering them the same love and attention they’re used to. It matters a lot to me that they feel safe, secure, and happy while you're away.

About: I have always grown up with both cats and dogs in my household and have been a lover of animals from a young age. I have house sat for most of my family members before I went to college and consistently watch my roommates cat, who has lived with us for four years, anytime she is out of town. I currently am a full time graduate student at UVA, just looking for a few jobs here and there between classes and another part time job! Most of my availability is in the morning and afternoons on the weekdays and afternoon and evenings on the weekends. I have been told on many occasions that I have a loving and kind demeanor which I will share with your pets. I would be honored to give your pets some love when you are out of town, working, or just busy!

“Miriah is a great communicator and a clear lover of animals! Churro took to her as soon as she came to the house for our meet and greet. Despite heavy rains rolling through, she took him for a nice long walk and made sure he was comfortable. I will happily book her again, and I know Churro would be excited to see her!”

“Dakota was friendly, flexible, and reliable. Sam always enjoyed his time with Dakota. Dakota interspersed neighborhood walks & trips to the dog park with visits to Barnes & Noble and other places. We will use Dakota again without reservation and highly recommend him to care for your pet.”

About: I have provided care for many pets from my former teachers, neighbors, family and word of mouth. Both my pets have lived to be seniors and watched senior pets as well. I worked at an animal hospital for about 2 years before moving to this area. I am familiar with giving medications and following instructions on feeding due to allergies and stomach concerns in dogs. I am experienced with reactive dogs and protective dogs when entering the home. I am mostly able to do daily check ins in morning-midday. My work schedule varies, so just ask I can try to work something out! I will meet or chat with you prior to meeting your pup or cat and learn there favorite snacks, toys and walk routes. I want then to be comfortable with me.

“Christian was an amazing caregiver for our pup while we were gone. She's extremely thoughtful and thorough about getting to know each animal before beginning her time with them, and as a rescue owner I really appreciated that! Will definitely be using her again.”

“I'm very thankful to have found Emil. I work in retail and consequently work almost every weekend. Emil walks my little chihuahua for me every Saturday and Sunday. He's very reliable and I never worry that he won't be able to make it. He also responds to any requests or questions very quickly. I wholeheartedly recommend Emil if you need someone to help care for your pups!”

About: I've been caring for pets for years and have always been surrounded by animals. I grew up with cats and black Labrador Retriever. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and energy levels, from puppies and kittens to senior pets who need extra patience and care. I’m also experienced in handling leash training, and recognizing behavioral cues to ensure pets feel safe and loved! I’m currently only offering weekends until I figure out my schedule for the summer since I’m working part time and doing research! I can do house-sitting/overnight stays, drop ins, and walking! I'm happy to go on long walks or to the park for some fun! For lower-energy dogs, I'm just as content to relax with them or enjoy some calm time outside.

About: I have had pets in my house my whole life - dogs, cats, chickens, horses, etc. I am very comfortable with all animals and I LOVE spending time with them. My family and friends have trusted me to take care of their animals, and I am always up for the task! I am petsitting on Rover while attending medical school at UVA. I have class 8-12 M-F, but my classes are often recorded and are only sometimes required. I do have required class 1-5pm on Thursdays. I would love to hang out with your pets and do some studying during down time :) I will not be taking your pets to my home, but I am happy to take care of them in their own! My biggest priority is keeping your animals safe and comfortable, which I feel is best accomplished in the place they call home.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and can’t imagine a home without them! From raising my own family pets to caring for dogs of all ages, whether it’s energetic puppies just weeks old or gentle seniors needing extra love. I bring years of experience and genuine care to every dog I meet. Over the past 8 years, I’ve had the joy of watching dogs for friends, neighbors, and family, and I treat every pup like they’re my own. Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and it brings me so much happiness to care for them and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m currently in grad school at UVA with classes only two days a week, and even then, they’re never longer than a few hours at a time. This means I’m available every day and can easily build pet care into my daily routine. Whether it’s morning walks, midday drop-ins, or overnight stays, I have the flexibility to provide consistent and attentive care. I care for pets by giving them lots of attention, love, and activity. Whether I’m in my home or the client’s, I make sure pets get plenty of time to play, go on walks, or just hang out and relax depending on what they need. I try to stick to their normal routine as much as possible, like feeding times and bathroom breaks, and I always make sure they feel safe and comfortable. Staying active with them through walks, fetch, or just playing around, is one of the main ways I show care and build trust.

Davila G.
“Dávi has taken care of our two cats several times through the years and we highly recommend her! Dávi is an excellent and loving caretaker, super responsive (get excited for lots of cute pictures!) and extremely dependable. We have a rescue cat that is a little feral and has great difficulty trusting people other than her owners - Dávi earned her trust and affection in just a couple of days, which speaks to her special ability to connect with pets in an encouraging and loving manner. Whenever we travel and Dávi takes care of our little rascals, we find them happy, relaxed and content upon our return - and knowing Dávi is checking in on the cats always gives us peace of mind so we can really enjoy our travels. If you want the best pet sitter, go with Dávi!”

bailey l.Star Sitter
“Bailey is an extremely responsible caregiver for animals. Being my roommate for nearly 5 years now, she has helped me take care of my own cat when I go out of town, and treats her as her own even when I am there! When it comes to caring for animals, Bailey does much more than the bare minimum of ensuring safety and food. While these are essential, Bailey understands that playing and interacting with animals is equally important. In other words, your pets will not only be taken care of, but they will also have fun playing, going on walks, and interacting. I would highly recommend Bailey to anyone looking for someone to watch their animals!”

Doris S.

“Doris is fabulous—responsive and professional. She’s only walked our beagle twice, but he’s already so excited to see her. And he comes back happily tired.”

Hannah H.

“Hannah is Amazing with my sweet boy! She is so communicative and I always feel comfortable when Hendrix is with her!”

“Amber did an amazing job watching my cat! He is a pretty shy cat, but came out for her! She sends a lot of pictures and comes on time. My cat likes to eat every on time and his schedule was not disrupted while we were away. I would definitely have Amber with my kitty in the future.”

Brsc dog parents share their Rover experiences
This was my partner and I's first time using Rover, let alone leaving our boy with a sitter, and dare I say, it was the best decision. The first meeting with our boy went better than we could have hoped. Mitch awaited our instructions when meeting our boy for optimal safety and comfortability for everyone. Mitch was able to return for another visit soon after to make sure all would go smoothly. Once we left for vacation, he was scheduled to come 3 times a day, and was so reliable! He also went above and beyond what we could have hoped, by checking the mailbox, administering his medications and vitamins, and just taking the extra time each visit/day to tend to the very clingy needs of our boy and the house in general (There were moments our boy didnt want him to leave and he stayed a little longer to give some extra love!). He kept the activity log updated regarding Big Al's bathroom/feeding schedule, along with daily reports and pictures! If Mitch had any questions or concerns, he communicated them well and we felt at ease our entire vacation. Safe to say, Mitch is stuck with us!
