“Tessa did an amazing job looking after my 2 kitties. She didn’t bat an eye at my one needing some medication and she gave me great updates and pictures. I will definitely be having her back.”

“Sam was amazing with our Chaos. She was so patient in getting to know him and sat for us for a week and now he loves her!!! Definitely will book again ❤️”

“Caroline did such a wonderful job with our kitties! She followed all our instructions perfectly and played with our kitties the whole time. We were very appreciative of her helping with bringing in a very large package we forgot was being delivered. If we were staying in this area we would absolutely love to have Caroline pet sit again!”

“Another great experience with Rhiana! Thank you for taking care of our pup and notifying us when he was having some trouble eating. We appreciate your updates and know he’s in good hands with you!”

“Karlee is a great sitter! She’s super friendly and responsive to visits. She’s done a great job at doing house visits for my puppy to tire him out and keep him engaged when I’m busy. Would definitely recommend!”

“Danielle was fantastic with my shy older kitty! This was the first time I'd left her at home for more than one night, and I was nervous about how she'd react. Even though she usually hides from strangers, my cat was coming out and greeting Danielle at every visit, and she was perfectly happy when I got home. I would absolutely book with Danielle again!”

About: Discount for Tuesday and Friday drop-ins! Discount for drop-ins and house sitting within 1 mile of UVA Law! Hi! I’m a lifelong pet person who grew up with a whole range of animals. Everything from tiny Yorkies to big, lovable dogs like French Mastiffs, plus cats of all ages (especially seniors). I currently have a 20-year-old cat, so I’m very comfortable with senior care, giving medication, and all the extra TLC that comes with older pets. I’m a big fan of giant breeds. Bring on the big paws, happy drool, and dramatic barks. I’m not fazed by “big dog energy,” and I have a soft spot for the sweethearts who sound tough but just want love (and maybe a treat). My background as a teacher, nanny, house manager, and personal assistant means I’m reliable, organized, and great at keeping routines smooth while making pets feel relaxed and happy. I’m happy to share references and I love meet & greets to make sure it’s a perfect fit. Can’t wait to meet you and your furry family! SCHEDULE My law school classes start in the late morning and are spread throughout the day, which gives me flexibility for morning visits, midday check-ins, and walks. For clients in Charlottesville, I’m able to come back to the home between classes, so pets aren’t left alone for long stretches. SAFETY & TRUST When I care for pets in your home, I focus on keeping them comfortable, relaxed, and never feeling alone. I spend time with them in common spaces so they can get used to me. If they’re comfortable, I let pets sleep in my room at night so they don’t feel lonely or miss their owners too much. Safety is a top priority for me—I never take dogs outside a fenced yard without a leash, even if they’re well trained, and I’m very careful with doors and entryways (I know all the kitty-proof tricks to prevent curious cats from sneaking out). I enjoy playing with pets who are able, I’m very clean and tidy, quick to handle messes, and I treat your home with care. I also send regular updates and photos so you can relax while you’re away.
About: I have lived and grown up with dogs my whole life!! From when I can remember to now, I have cared for dogs personally and love doing it!! I currently work a fully remote job, so I am available to care for your dog all day during the week and weekend if needed! I've helped care for 4 dogs personally in my like (in addition to helping friends and family dogs) by taking them on walks, feeding them when needed, and giving them all the cuddles. I am strong at following instructions and will care of your pet as if they were my own! As long as we have open and honest communication about your pet's needs it will be perfect! I also love sending updates and photos to owners I have worked with before.
“Yana did a fantastic job caring for my kitten with a last minute notice! She took great pics and videos along with thorough notes! Will definitely keep them in mind for future bookings!”

“Mitch went above and beyond caring for our animals while we were away for the holidays and was even flexible with adding an extra day when we decided to extend our trip. Super sweet with our animals and took great care of our home. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I’ve owned many dogs over my lifetime. From a Min Pin to Collies, Retrievers and Pointers. I have taken care of friends and relatives animals while they were out of town. I have done long time sits (several weeks) to daily drop ins. I’m retired so I have lots of time to care for your pets. I love taking walks and getting to know each animal whether it’s to come hang out and play, feed etc or take for long or short walks. I don’t have any dogs or cats living with me now due to my landlord not allowing pet ownership. They don’t mind if I bring a dog here for short periods.
“Natalie has done drop-ins with our Magz a few times now and has been so lovely! She even brought Magz out to play in the snow while my partner and I were both at work. Thank you Natalie!”

“Kris was great with our cats. She came over to meet them before our trip and connected with even the standoffish one. She has experience working with animals that helps put my mind at ease. She played with them and also took care of the small things like packages and mail while we were away. Great sitter!”

“Megan has been amazing. My cats connected with her very well. Even my older cat who is standoffish with strangers sat on her lap. She came to my rescue when I needed her for another day and I appreciate her so much!”

“Ed was very communicative and responded quickly when I needed him! He even ensured that my picky dog ate by thinking outside the box. Thanks Ed, can’t wait to book with you again soon!”

“Josephine is excellent, very reliable and caring. She sent me detailed reports and photos every day, so I could relax knowing my dog and cat were in good hands while I was away.”

Brsc pet parents share their Rover experiences
Rhiana cared for my cats during the major snow we had. She went above and beyond to make sure our cats were cared for, which was a relief as I was in an area where I could not easily be reached. So glad to have Rhiana be our pet sitter and will gladly work with her again.

Tessa took great care of our cat! She communicated well, was very responsive, and sent us updates and pictures every day so we could see our kitty while out of town. She also handled winter weather issues very well, keeping us informed of her status and getting to our house as soon as it was feasible. We definitely plan to work with Tessa again for future cat-sitting needs!

Emma is absolutely fantastic! She went above and beyond for her first visit with Ruby. She took her out, walked her, and played fetch! She also made sure to follow the instructions I gave her EXACTLY! My puppy absolutely adores her, and I would recommend her to anyone who needs someone reliable, trustworthy, and kind for your pet!

Absolutely amazing service. I reached out on short notice and Lettie was amazing about getting back to me and doing a meeting with the dogs before my trip. The updates were great and Lettie really went above and beyond on this. I highly recommend Lettie to anyone who needs pet sitting.

Nettie was very responsive throughout the booking process and routinely kept us updated on Toby. We loved the pictures that she'd send daily. Toby seemed to really enjoy having her come and visit. Toby has some past medical issues and this was our first time using Rover so we were worried but that quickly went away the first day that she visited him.
