Heather & Nigel S.

“Heather is absolutely wonderful! She and her beautiful family made my dog feel right at home. In fact, I was afraid my puppy wouldn't want to come home with me after staying with her for a few days. My puppy was shy and anxious around other dogs but a few days at Heather's and my puppy became a social butterfly. Can't thank her enough!”

Michele & Trenton B.
“Michele is extremely intentional and caring. She loves all types of animals and gives them amazing love when she cares for them. We trusted her wholeheartedly with our fur baby, Cornbread. He fell in love with her, and he remembers her every time she comes back to see him. I highly recommend Michele as a dog sitter because she is kind, vivacious, and responsible.”

Lisa B.

“Willow loved her time with Lisa and her family! I received several updates throughout the two days, and pictures of her having so much fun! I will definitely be booking with Lisa again.”

Cory P.

“Came from out of town for a wedding and found out last minute that our dog could not attend. Cory responded immediately to our last minute request for doggy day care. If not for Cory we would have missed the wedding. He was very friendly and took wonderful care of our Harley, who is very high energy. Cory put my nerves at ease with updates and pics throughout the day. I highly recommend Cory for your pet care needs. Thank you again Cory!”

Vannessa C.

“Vannessa and Will were great caretakers for Junie while I was picking up my daughter from university. They were very easy going about keeping Junie later than expected and I could tell Junie had a great time there.”

Doris S.

“Wonderful sitter! Dorris was so kind to take on an 11 week puppy for an afternoon. Another pup helped socialize and tire our puppy out. Judging from the huge nap, Dooner had a fantastic time. Dorris had a great, calm energy and we would definitely book with her again.”

About: I have been around dogs all my life, and have learned how to properly train them through experience and good mentors. I also have watched much of The Dog Whisperer & other training videos online. I’ve seen critiques of Cesar Milan, with people saying he’s unnecessarily enforcing dominance roles; I only support dominance hierarchies to the extent that it helps the dog. If a dog believes they must be in control because they don’t have a good leader, they will be more stressed out which is unfair to the dog. I will never be unnecessarily rough with your pet, but I may do exercises like leash training to remind them that I am in control, and they don’t need to be in extreme protector mode. I have used this experience with success on friends’ and acquaintances’ dogs, as well as my own. He sits for over a minute until I tell him to Come, for example. Our housemate had a dying dog and I was there alongside him helping her care for him until his last moments. I also believe in reincarnation which helps me really see and have extra patience with each dog as I see them as a soul who is here to learn and experience. My husband and I have a relaxed lifestyle that allows us to be home most days other than side jobs and catering shifts on the weekends. We are in the midst of moving a couple hours east of here, albeit very slowly, so if your pup is with us for a while there’s a chance he or she will get to see the rural area of Middlesex VA and interact with some chickens! Both areas are far away from a main highway or there is a good fence. I have two friendly dogs, a Pomeranian and a whippet mix. We let them in and out as they choose, and have a couple acres for them to run and play on. I love going for runs and walks and would happily bring your pup along, depending on his or her energy level. I have a healthy understanding of how to keep a healthy leash contact with the dog, and if need be, I am quite strong if I need to keep the dog from running.

“Ashley can not thank you enough for taking such good care of Paddy. You were more than accomodating and I really appreciate you allowing such late night pick ups while we went out on the town.
