Experienced Cat-Specific Sitter!
I have had multiple cats my entire life, gaining experience in cat care at every stage of their life, from socializing kittens to keeping an elderly cat company and comfortable. I have also had multiple cats with medical issues like IBD and HCM, so I have a lot of experience with medication administration and cleaning up any messes. In particular, I have experience administering medication orally/topically/through injections, as well as with using an inhaler. I am super passionate about cat care and cat behavior - I know from first hand experience how quickly with cats something that might seem minor at first can turn into a major issue, so I strive in being as observant and detailed as possible. You’ll get lots of detailed updates and pictures/videos so you can connect with your kitty from afar! I also take a lot of pride in being a person cats want to be around. Over the years I’ve learned a lot about behavior cues and how to get along with cats with a variety of personalities. Every cat is different and requires a different approach! As a pet parent to three cats, I know the importance of finding a sitter you can trust to take good care of your cats and I hope I can be that for you!

Safety, trust & environment
I believe the most important parts of pet ownership are keeping a safe, sanitary, and fun environment. I regularly check to make sure there are no dangers to animals lying around, am knowledgeable in the dos and don’ts of cat care, and focus on enrichment activities that best suit your cat's personality. I am gentle, caring, but firm as needed for both safety and training. I may even try to teach your cat a trick!

Katherine did an AMAZING job taking care of our old kitty Puszkin when we were away for the weekend. She gave him medicine twice a day with no issues, followed all our instructions very thoroughly and provided lots of attention, pets, cuddles and scritches 😻 She sent very detailed messages to keep us updated on Puszkin’s wellbeing and shared lots of great pictures and videos. Highly recommend Katherine and I’m sure we will reach out to her again at some point!!
Katherine took great care of my cat Plessie! She sent lots of pictures and a detailed update each visit, and it was clear that Plessie felt comfortable with her. Definitely helped to give me peace of mind while being gone!

Schedule
I am a current law student, so I am flexible in my hours. I’m able to do early morning drop-ins as well as evenings, and mid-day visits as my class schedule permits. I keep my calendar up to date regularly, so it is accurate to any days I may be unavailable. I am available as a sitter on Rover again after a brief hiatus to focus on school and other work. I’ve really missed cat sitting and am excited to meet new clients! When it comes to drop-ins, I believe that your cat deserves more than a visit to fill up the food bowl. I not only spend substantial time with your pet each time, giving them the love and attention they need while you are away, but focus on enriching activities that keep them happy and entertained. As someone who has had to leave my cats for vacations, I feel a lot better knowing that someone is there to cuddle and play with them, not just provide the bare necessities.

- Ahead of time, it is important for me to know any medical issues, any specific triggers for your cat, how they interact with other people and animals and their favorite activities/toys! I pride myself in providing a high standard of care and the more information you can provide, the better! I also just ask for both my safety and comfort and yours that any cameras in the home be disclosed ahead of time.
