About: With over 10 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, and even reptiles, I’ve had the joy of looking after all kinds of pets. Growing up surrounded by animals, I developed a deep love and understanding of their unique needs and personalities. I have extensive experience caring for sickly dogs, ensuring they receive the attention, medication, and gentle care they need. Additionally, I’ve spent several years volunteering at a dog shelter, working with a variety of dogs, including those with special needs, anxiety, and behavioral challenges. I’m highly attentive, detail-oriented, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you're away. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, administering medication, or simply some extra cuddles, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care isn’t just a job for me—it’s a passion, and I truly look forward to meeting your furry (or scaly!) family members! I have a highly flexible schedule to accommodate your pet’s needs. I spend a lot of time outdoors and frequently visit local parks—perfect for pets who love fresh air and adventure! I’m available throughout the week and weekends for pet sitting, and I can host for multiple days if needed. Plus, I have a backyard space for extra playtime and fresh air. Whether it’s daily walks, overnight stays, or extended care, I’m here to provide a safe, loving environment for your pet! Whether in my home or yours, I prioritize safety, trust, and a nurturing environment for every pet in my care. In my home, I treat pets as if they were my own—providing consistent care, regular feeding, timely potty breaks, medication administration (if needed), and plenty of love and attention. I also keep open communication with owners, offering updates as needed for peace of mind. When caring for pets in their own home, I strictly follow the owner’s instructions to maintain their routine and ensure their comfort. I respect the space, keeping it clean and organized, while making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well-cared for. No matter the setting, my goal is to provide a stress-free, loving environment where pets feel right at home!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life and caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Over the years I’ve helped friends, neighbors, and family members care for their pets by feeding, walking, playing with them, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m patient, reliable, and treat every pet like part of my family. My daily routine already revolves around caring for animals. I walk my own dogs every morning and evening, so regular walks, feeding schedules, and playtime are already part of my day. I also take my son to school in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon, which gives me a flexible schedule during the day for pet visits, walks, and check-ins. I have a fenced backyard where dogs can roam safely, plus a pool if your pup likes to splash around (always supervised). I’ve got two friendly dogs at home who love a buddy to run around with, but if your pet’s not feeling it or just needs a break, I can crate them no problem. I mostly go with whatever keeps your dog comfy and happy. The dogs rule the house over here.

About: We are a family that lost a 14 year old dog in 2015. We have had a hard time with it and don't really want to get another. We want to take care of dogs while others go out of town and give them the care we always gave our very own. We were always hesitant putting our dog in kennels and always wished for a comfortable home and environment to be in while we were away. We want to do the same for you. If at any point there is a concern about a dogs well being in our care, we will be sure to notify the owner of the injury or concern and handle it from there. Thank you for trusting us with your babies!

About: I’m a long time pet owner and love spending time around animals. I have a 10 year old Siberian Husky that keeps me on my toes. I’m available for check-ins, walks, and boarding. I’m punctual, value communication, and of course will provide as many or as little updates as you want with pictures! I work full time, but I’m currently off for the summer. My schedule is very open and flexible to allow caring for your pet. I’m a very active person and don’t mind being outside at any time of day. I live in an apartment so I don’t have a yard, but I make sure to get my steps in and my dogs by going on frequent walks. My apartment also has a fenced in dog park that I use to let dogs have time outside off leash

About: I’ve always been an animal lover! My family and I began volunteering with the Houston Humane Society when I was young, and not long after, we started fostering animals—primarily dogs of all ages. Over the years, we’ve fostered more than 60 animals, each with their own personalities and needs. I also rescued a cat and cared for him until he found his forever home. I’m available for overnight stays, drop-in visits, and dog walking throughout the week and can be fully attentive to your pet’s needs during that time. I also work remotely part-time with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dependable care, plenty of attention, and consistent companionship for your pets. I’m extremely vigilant, responsible, and respectful when caring for pets in a client’s home. I make it a priority not only to care for the pet, but also to treat the home with the same respect I would expect in my own space. I carefully follow any schedules, routines, and instructions provided to ensure your pet feels comfortable and everything runs as smoothly as possible. I know how important it is to have peace of mind while you’re away, so I’m very mindful about making sure both your pet and your home are well cared for.

About: I’ve been around dogs and other animals for most of my life. My family has always had pets, and I’ve personally owned and cared for multiple dogs over the years. I got my first dog, Coco, when I was 8 years old, and caring for her taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and understanding each pet’s unique needs. I’m currently a Biology student pursuing a career as a veterinarian and am actively completing veterinary clinical hours at a veterinary clinic. Through this experience, I’m gaining hands-on knowledge of animal care, behavior, health monitoring, and handling techniques. In high school, I was involved in FFA, where I raised and cared for a pig, giving me additional experience with animal husbandry and daily animal care responsibilities. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, companionship, or attentive care while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same care and respect that I would my own pets. I am currently completing veterinary clinical hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM as part of my preparation for veterinary school. Outside of those hours, I have a flexible schedule and can provide plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship. Caring for animals is an important part of my future career goals, and I enjoy spending time with pets while ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. As a veterinary extern and future veterinarian, I have experience working around animals in a clinical setting and understand the importance of monitoring behavior, appetite, activity level, and overall well-being. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medications, and routines. I am comfortable cleaning up accidents, providing basic grooming and hygiene care, and giving pets the patience and attention they deserve. Every pet in my care will be treated with the same level of respect and compassion that I would give my own animals.

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was a child. I use to pet-sit for my parents friends dog/cat. My current pets are treated like my kids, and I have an array of cats and dogs. All of my cats adapted me, and become part of my family. I always talk to them, as if they were a human child. I’m a Huge animal Lover! I will break for a turtle crossing or rescue animal left on a highway. I’m a full time Graduate student, studying Clinical Social work. I am an advocate for animal and human rights. My schedule is flexible and I can be available in times of emergencies. I feed my fur babies in order, cats first then my dogs. The dogs are in order. This prevents quarrels amongst each other. They are conditioned to go to their designated feeding are. I watch all of them eat. Cat boxes are always cleaned before feeding time. The dogs go to their rooms (aka kennel) and wait to go outside, one or two at a time to poop/pee. They can take a good while, but they always let me know when they are ready to come back, inside my home. I make sure to immediately pick up their poop, it prevents the others from stepping on it. I try to water the grass that they poop in. I figure the water hose can act like an outdoor flushing toilette. I have a cat that will pee in my sink. I now have a hospital tub for her to pee in, instead of my sink. She’s k e of the many ways I accommodate and at the same time I prevent her from peeing in my sink. My cats will let me know if I missed a day of cleaning their cat box, they will protest and pop/pee in my dirty laundry basket, bed sheets, or anywhere the. Feel they can reach my attention that the cat box is way too full. Now, I make it a point to clean their box twice a day. There have been a couple of ER visits. If I see they are not themselves, and it’s serious, I will waist no time to take them to the nearest ER. If it’s not major, I keep an animal first aid kit that has bandages, Neosporin and witch hazel.

About: Hi, I’m Mikayla! I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and love giving them the same care and attention they’d get from their favorite human. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just cuddles on the couch, I make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. Your furry friend will be treated like my own, with plenty of love and lots of fun! I am currently unemployed so I have a lot of free time to care for your fur baby! My schedule is pretty much the same day in and day out. I will keep the same that I am in clean and calm so that the fur baby does not feel out of place or disturbed. Maintaining the same environment keeps the routine going!

Erin did a great job walking Pepper! Pepper was excited to walk with her everyday she came. From Day 1, it was obvious that Erin loves puppies, which helped her to quickly bond with Pepper! Pepper is very energetic and so is Erin, so they were both able to walk at different speeds which was good exercise for her. I’m very pleased with Erin and plan to use her again next week!

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
