“Cindy is wonderful with my Senior Dog and caters to his needs on every walk and feeding. She takes her time and has patience with him. She makes sure he’s comfortable and always gives updates and communicates after every walk.”

“She was great with Scott! He was hesitant to walk with her and barked, but she understood he was nervous and was patient with him She also communicates everything and took a lot of pictures! Will be definitely scheduling walks if her again”

About: I have taken care of all sorts of animals, from yorkies to labradors and a ten year old cat! I will be sure to listen to your pet’s every need. I am new to Rover, but I am looking forward to meeting your animal! I am a very active individual and can help your best friend get all of their energy out. I can go on walks up to 2 hours. I am an avid runner so if your dog loves to go a little faster, I can keep up! I have helped clicker train a puppy, and I have hid pills in cheese before and made sure they weren’t spit out! I work full-time 9am to 5pm, so I have availability in the early morning or after work. I am free most weekends, and I update my calendar as soon as I am aware I am unavailable. I have a semi-unpredictable schedule, so I cannot take any repeat requests. I would love to spend multiple hours walking or just hanging out with your pet! I do not have the ability to have pets in my apartment, so I am not able to board any animals in my own home.
“Shirali was wonderful and my boys instantly got along with her. Very communicative, and I could tell she truly enjoyed my pups. I will definitely be using her in the future if she is available!”

About: I've been trained as a dog groomer for about a year and a half, so if your dog needs maintenance on its coat I'd be more than happy to help. I've worked with many kinds of dogs from 4 month old puppies to 15 year old seniors. I also have a senior dog, a yellow Labrador, 13 yrs. I'm currently on pursuit for a part time job, so have more time to take care of any animals right now! The only day that doesn't work for me is Sunday or anytime after 6:30 pm on Thursdays and Fridays. I would love to know your pets daily routine, likes and dislikes in order to provide the best service I can for your furry friend.
“If you're looking for a dedicated and compassionate dog walker, Abby is the perfect choice! She has done an incredible job taking care of our three fur babies. From the moment we met her, it was clear that she truly loves animals. Abby is not only attentive and reliable but also exceptionally skilled at understanding our dogs' needs and personalities. Her communication with us has been excellent; she keeps us updated with photos and messages, which gives us peace of mind. It's evident that she goes above and beyond to ensure our dogs are happy and well-cared for. We couldn't be more grateful for her services. I highly recommend Abby to anyone in need of a trustworthy and caring dog walker. Your pets will be in great hands! 🐾”

“Wilson was wonderful. We are a big order given we have one anxious dog AND my 80yr old FIL likes to walk with his dogs. Wilson was gentle, kind, and patient with both the pups and Dad.”

“Diana did a wonderful job with my dog, Porter. She was very good communicating and sending pictures. He seemed very happy when I got home. I look forward to working with Diana again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have experience with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. I grew up in a home with Rottweilers, which taught me early on the importance of proper care, structure, and lots of love. Over the years, I’ve lived with rescue dogs and have also fostered dogs in the past, gaining experience helping dogs adjust to new environments and routines. Currently, I live in a home with a rescue St. Bernard and a Bernese Mountain Dog. While they aren’t my own dogs, I spend a large amount of my time caring for them, giving them plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. I’m very comfortable with large breeds as well as dogs who may need extra patience and understanding. I’ve worked with many breeds and mixes, including Rottweilers, Bernese Mountain Dogs, French Bulldogs, St. Bernard, Labs, Doodle mixes, Pomeranians, Boxers, and a Rhodesian Ridgeback. I understand that every dog is unique, and I always aim to provide care that meets each dog’s individual needs while making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy. I work part time as a yoga teacher and have an open schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays, and weekend for daytime visits to take your pets out and on walks depending on what you need. I currently do not have any pets of my own which makes overnight stays to care for your pets easy. I will come to your home for to care for your pet and offer them the services you wish to have for them. Whether that be overnight stays, daytime dog walks, offering meals, or even just some outdoor playtime in your backyard.
“Jamal was prompt with returning messages, came to pick up my dog Angel on time and was very friendly and pleasant. Angel reacted to him very positively and came home happy and tired out from the extra exercise. I was reassured by his professional attitude and Angel's enthusiastic response. I highly recommend Jamal and will certainly book him again.”

About: I have loved and cared for animals for most of my life. Growing up, I raised and cared for dogs and many other household pets, which taught me responsibility, patience, and attentiveness from a young age. One of my earliest experiences was helping care for a mother dog and her newborn puppies. Since moving to the United States 15 years ago, I have regularly helped friends and neighbors care for their pets while they were away. In my professional life, I have been an elementary school teacher for the past ten years. My experience working with children has strengthened my ability to be patient, observant, dependable, and responsive to individual needs. I treat every pet with the same level of care and attention that I would give to a member of my own family. I am a full-time elementary school teacher during the school year. During the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the day to provide care, supervision, companionship, and exercise for dogs. Because I am home for most of the day during summer break, I can accommodate regular walks, feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I am committed to maintaining your pet’s routine and ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for while you are away. I live in an end-unit townhouse in a safe, pet-friendly neighborhood with nearby walking paths, parks, and green spaces. My home provides a calm and comfortable environment where pets can relax and feel secure. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding, medications, exercise, and daily routines. I supervise pets closely, keep them on leash during walks unless otherwise directed in a secure area, and make safety my top priority at all times. I understand that every dog has unique needs, and I strive to provide individualized care that helps them feel at home.
“Yana came through for us and our sweet boxer like a champ! She accepted a last minute request for a dog walk, communicate well throughout, and provided service above and beyond.”

About: Animals have always been at the center of my life. I share my home with four cats (three traveled with me from Ukraine and one rescued from Houston) and a Bernese Mountain Dog who’s training to become a certified therapy dog. I work remotely, so I’m home all day and able to give pets constant attention. Before moving to the U.S., I co-founded an adoption center in Ukraine dedicated to rescuing and rehoming critically ill stray cats. I’ve completed multiple courses in animal behavior and publish freelance articles about the latest research in pet care. My dog has completed four manners courses and holds all his certificates, and I create human-grade treats in a professional dehydrator (and planning to start a business), so my furry guests are welcome to sample them if they have no allergies. We have a spacious home with a fenced yard, two guest rooms to separate our furry guests if needed, and a pool for supervised dog play. I work remotely only a few hours a day, so I have plenty of time to care for your pet. I’m also very physically active, ensuring your furry friend will never be bored. I create a calm, pet-friendly environment and keep routines consistent to reduce stress. In my home or yours, I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, maintain secure doors and gates, and use positive reinforcement for safe play. I keep food, water, and litter areas clean and monitor pets closely during walks or outdoor time.
About: I grew up with two large dogs who I adore!! I spend time at Forsyth humane society as much as possible. I have been fostering dogs the past two years and adore being able to give them love and a safe home. I am a part time student at wake forest this summer. I am extremely available Thursday-Sunday. Monday-Wednesday I am available after 3pm as well. I am very willing to board dogs Thurs to Sunday! My home is extremely clean and it’s spacious enough for dogs to run around. I do not have a fenced in backyard so I will take dogs on as many walks as possible depending on how active they typically are. I love dogs and will make sure to take care of yours as if it’s mine!!!

We are so grateful to have found Selena! She took amazing care of our dog while we were away. She followed our instructions with his routine and even gave us updates with photos. Our doggo was happy, calm, and clearly loved every minute. It’s not easy leaving your dog behind, but knowing he was in such loving and capable hands made all the difference. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
