About: Over the past few years I've built hands-on experience caring for dogs in multiple settings. I spent two summers at Camp Bow Wow, where I supervised playgroups of up to 25 dogs and handled daily care tasks such as feeding, administering medications, cleaning play yards and giving baths. I have also volunteered at many animal shelters where I walked dogs, fed them, cleaned kennels and assisted with training playdates. Additionally, through my sorority I support the Boulder Guide Dogs for the Blind by fundraising, baking treats, puppy-sitting, and socialising puppies to teach them good manners and prepare them for formal training. As a college student, my class schedule is flexible (giving me plenty of free time throughout the day to walk, play with, and care for your dog!) I am super easy to reach via the Rover app or text, and last minute bookings are no problem. I am open to midday walks, evening check-ins or an overnight stay on short notice, and can adjust my schedule to meet your needs! About: I've been caring for small pets such as, Hamsters, Guinea-pigs and Fish (from goldfish, etc. to Oscars,etc.) from a very young age. Therein, for example, when I was still a little girl, my friend and neighbor could no longer care for their beloved, hamster, Andy; who did they think of... me ! So, Andy, the hamster was adopted and added to the fold. Next, Cats and Dogs. When my neighbor found a stray cat had given birth in their shed closet, again, who did they call?! I adopted one of the 3 kittens; adopting their sibling from the same liter soon after the first adoptee, was unable to care for it. I began caring for Angel and Geisha, my first two cats. Last but not least, Dogs... Cream was a white Pittie, whose owner, again, became unable to care for her so she lived with me and my 2 year old daughter at the time, and they loved each other dearly. After, finding Cream a permanent home, I had the honor of caring for other dogs for friends and neighbors even the homeless, from which I cared for Lulu, a pittie, living with her owner on the street. However, she received a healthy diet, vet care and patience, training to reverse some of the habits she developed living on the street. Now, although, I've cared for others such as Bamboo, the Pitbull, that seemed to take care of himself, lol and Karma, who needed a foster during the Covid pandemic; I'm entrusted with the care of my Pittie/German-Sheppard Gran-pet baby, Nasir aka Nas, while my daughter's in college. Nice enough, I still get to switch it up and care for the Cats (and small pets) of various friends and neighbors in my community. With that, I try o create a Pet-care Staycation like atmosphere when boarding or Home care while pet-parents are away and a Family like atmosphere for Fosters. I look forward to meeting your furry friends and four legged family members :) Pet care is not only therapeutic, it fits into my schedule perfectly, since I am a semi-retired administrative professional who suffered an untimely stroke at a young age.
