Wilson was wonderful. We are a big order given we have one anxious dog AND my 80yr old FIL likes to walk with his dogs. Wilson was gentle, kind, and patient with both the pups and Dad.

About: I give healthy treats for commands followed, and good cuddles! i do have a cream golden retriever who is super friendly, rarely barks, and well behaved. I work from home and I take my dog out for play time quite a bit daily. Your pet will fit right into the schedule. About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have experience with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. I grew up in a home with Rottweilers, which taught me early on the importance of proper care, structure, and lots of love. Over the years, I’ve lived with rescue dogs and have also fostered dogs in the past, gaining experience helping dogs adjust to new environments and routines. Currently, I live in a home with a rescue St. Bernard and a Bernese Mountain Dog. While they aren’t my own dogs, I spend a large amount of my time caring for them, giving them plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. I’m very comfortable with large breeds as well as dogs who may need extra patience and understanding. I’ve worked with many breeds and mixes, including Rottweilers, Bernese Mountain Dogs, French Bulldogs, St. Bernard, Labs, Doodle mixes, Pomeranians, Boxers, and a Rhodesian Ridgeback. I understand that every dog is unique, and I always aim to provide care that meets each dog’s individual needs while making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy. I work part time as a yoga teacher and 3 days a week in a hospital setting. This allows me to have a flexible schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays, and weekend (when I am not at the hospital) for daytime visits to take your pets out on walks, stop in for potty breaks or afternoon lunch/snacks. I currently do not have any pets of my own which makes overnight stays to care for your pets easy. I will come to your home for to care for your pet and offer them the services you wish to have for them. Whether that be overnight stays, daytime dog walks, offering meals, or even just some outdoor playtime in your backyard.

I maintain a flexible schedule while job searching, allowing me to provide reliable walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, and attentive companionship throughout the week. I create a calm, secure environment by following each pet’s routine, monitoring behavior closely, and maintaining clean, pet-safe spaces. I communicate regularly with owners and prioritize safety, comfort, and consistency. I have fenced in yard and one friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. About: Hi, I'm Alejandro! While I am new to the Rover platform, I’m definitely not new to dogs. I have spent years caring for family pets and helping neighbors with their dogs. Because I’m home full-time with an open schedule, your pup will be my absolute priority. I don't have remote work tasks or office hours pulling me away, so I can offer your dog 100% undivided attention, love, and supervision. I’m offering boarding, walking, and house-sitting services with total flexibility. Since I’m just launching my Rover profile, I’m eager to build great relationships with local pet parents. I’m fully committed to following your exact care instructions, providing frequent photo and text updates, and keeping your dog safe, happy, and active. I can't wait to welcome your dog into my daily routine! I’m currently available on most weekdays throughout the day, and sometimes on weekends. Since I’m a soccer referee, my Rover schedule is based around my match assignments. I’ve got two pups of my own (yorkies) who I love and care for as my children. Your pups will receive the same care from me. If boarding at my place, the house has a fence all around.

About: I have loved and cared for animals for most of my life. Growing up, I raised and cared for dogs and many other household pets, which taught me responsibility, patience, and attentiveness from a young age. One of my earliest experiences was helping care for a mother dog and her newborn puppies. Since moving to the United States 15 years ago, I have regularly helped friends and neighbors care for their pets while they were away. In my professional life, I have been an elementary school teacher for the past ten years. My experience working with children has strengthened my ability to be patient, observant, dependable, and responsive to individual needs. I treat every pet with the same level of care and attention that I would give to a member of my own family. I am a full-time elementary school teacher during the school year. During the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the day to provide care, supervision, companionship, and exercise for dogs. Because I am home for most of the day during summer break, I can accommodate regular walks, feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I am committed to maintaining your pet’s routine and ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for while you are away. I live in an end-unit townhouse in a safe, pet-friendly neighborhood with nearby walking paths, parks, and green spaces. My home provides a calm and comfortable environment where pets can relax and feel secure. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding, medications, exercise, and daily routines. I supervise pets closely, keep them on leash during walks unless otherwise directed in a secure area, and make safety my top priority at all times. I understand that every dog has unique needs, and I strive to provide individualized care that helps them feel at home.

About: I have experience caring for dogs of all ages and needs, including puppies, senior dogs, and multiple dogs at once. I’m patient, attentive, and understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. I’m committed to providing reliable, loving care while making sure each dog gets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Whether it’s keeping up with an energetic puppy or providing gentle care for a senior dog, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I currently have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability. I do volunteer work three times a week, but it’s only about 15 minutes from home, so I’m still able to accommodate pet care before or after volunteering. My flexible schedule allows me to be available for walks and drop-ins throughout the week at all hours For now, I provide walks and drop-in visits in my clients’ homes. I make sure each pet is comfortable, cared for, and follows their usual routine as closely as possible. During drop-ins, I can provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention based on each pet’s individual needs. For walks, I focus on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and properly exercised.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Middlesex. On Rover:

  • 87% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
