Marc was great with our dog Penny. After just a meet and greet and one walk, she was so excited to see him the third time you would think he was part of our family. Also, I like the detailed feedback he gives about how she does on walks.

About: I grew up with a childhood dog (a Yorkie mix) that I got when I was five years old. My dog became an angel last year at the age of fifteen. I unfortunately am not able to get another dog for the time being because I am starting law school in the fall. But, I miss the presence of a dog dearly, which is why I chose to become a sitter. I smile at and care for all animals, and I am excited to meet all of your fur babies! I have experience caring for dogs of all ages and energy levels. I understand each pet has different needs, so I always ask for details/notes to make sure I can accommodate properly. Under my care, your pet is treated as if it is my own and has my full attention. While caring for pets, I also make sure to send frequent updates and pictures to keep pet parents in the loop:) I currently have a very free schedule, as I am in the summer before I start law school (I am trying to relax as much as possible before). When I begin my studies at the end of August, I will be available on weekends for boarding requests. I enjoy going on walks at the park and have a very active lifestyle, so I would love to bring your dog along! Although I do not have a fenced backyard, I have a 1.5 acre property with ample space. I will always ask what you are most comfortable with (leash in my backyard or not). I have dog bowls in my home I can use for food and drink. Dogs will always be under supervision in my home.

About: I've always loved animals and used to volunteer at an animal shelter when I was younger. I also got my first dog 10 years ago--she is my best friend and I love her more than anything :) I'm responsible for grooming, feeding, and walking her, plus regular check ups to make sure she's healthy. My favorite thing to do though is playing with her and cuddling! I am a technical design coordinator full-time, but have time outside of work throughout the week and on weekends. Typically, Mon-Sunday works, just depending on the time. Since I am a pet owner myself, I am able to take care of your pet(s) in any way needed. I am able to understand different personalities and needs among various animals and adjust accordingly!

About: I have taken care of all sorts of animals, from yorkies to labradors and a ten year old cat! I will be sure to listen to your pet’s every need. I am new to Rover, but I am looking forward to meeting your animal! I am a very active individual and can help your best friend get all of their energy out. I can go on walks up to 2 hours. I am an avid runner so if your dog loves to go a little faster, I can keep up! I have helped clicker train a puppy, and I have hid pills in cheese before and made sure they weren’t spit out! I work full-time 9am to 5pm, so I have availability in the early morning or after work. I am free most weekends, and I update my calendar as soon as I am aware I am unavailable. I have a semi-unpredictable schedule, so I cannot take any repeat requests. I would love to spend multiple hours walking or just hanging out with your pet! I do not have the ability to have pets in my apartment, so I am not able to board any animals in my own home.

I would love to give your animals the care they deserve while also giving myself a little mental break with all your cute pets! About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for 10+ years! I love spending time with all animals so petsitting is like a vacation for me. I am a full time lab technician and have flexible hours to watch over any furbabies :) I have a full time job that is very flexible with my hours. I am very detail oriented, punctual, and patient. I am free outside of work and would love to occupy my time, whenever need be, to help someone else who needs help watching their dog or cat! My biggest worry is not letting your furbabies run loose! I always check my surroundings before entering a home and be cautious so that no animal runs out or gets hurt in the process. While taking care of pets it is easy to let them run wild and have fun, but we can also do so without making the home messy! I will treat anyones dog or cat as my own, as well as make sure that I leave a home the way it was when coming in.

About: I currently work at a luxury dog hotel, where part of my job is to take care of the dogs, making sure they are fed and hydrated, ensuring their safety, and constantly being mindful of their welfare. I would also do this for your dog. I've always wanted to work with animals, and I've been fortunate enough to fulfill that ambition. My top goal is keeping your dogs safe. which is why I've had the honor of earning my canine CPR certification.I consider myself fortunate to be able to assist someone with keeping an eye on their dog. I am presently employed in a part-time position, typically working from 1 PM to 7 PM for approximately five to six days out of the week. In addition to having two amiable dogs who can keep your puppy company at all times, I have a large, fenced yard that allows me to be outside with your dog.

  • 87% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
