“I needed a place for our little dog to stay for the long weekend. And I wanted to make sure all his training rules stayed in place. We are training him from a rehoming situation so it is an important transition period. Margarita and Ramon have a lot of experience with boarding and fostering. I did not have to go into long explanations about what was needed. They understood exactly what our plan was and kept up the plan all weekend without issues. I received daily video updates. When I picked up our little buddy he was relaxed and happy. He was comfortable with Margarita so I know he has been at ease in the house. Margarita had another small dog boarding on tge weekend which was an appropriate match for walks. They also have a low key larger dog whom I felt was calming for the house atmosphere. Overall I feel confident to return my dog for another stay without any concerns.”

“We couldn't have asked for a better sitter. We were nervous about leaving our dog with someone for the first time and Pardeep put our fears to rest with frequent updates and pictures. We could see that he was having a great time and getting lots of love and attention. We are so lucky to have connected with Pardeep and will absolutely be contacting him the next time we go away!”

“Pearl was absolutely amazing! She gave my dog the best care. When my dog wouldn’t eat due to nerves, she cooked her home cooked meals. She even got her a new collar and provided extra goodies and toys when sending her home. She also constantly sent photos and updates to keep me and my family updated on what was going on. Plus, her pet bunnies are adorable! Use Pearl as your sitter and you’ll be sure your pet is in good hands!!🤍”

“I can't say enough good things about Anoti! She and her family welcomed Dante with open arms and really made him feel at home. Dante is very high-energy, and Anoti accommodated nicely with plenty of long walks. I could see from the photos how much fun Dante was having and how much love he was getting. I would definitely seek out Anoti for our future boarding needs!”

“Gianna was so wonderful with our dog! She was incredibly responsive and gave us daily updates and pictures, and it was so clear that our dog felt right at home with her. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!”

“An absolutely wonderful experience! Leo was treated like family and came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. The communication was excellent, with updates and pictures that made us at ease. We truly appreciate the love and attention given to Leo. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Laxmi to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring person and a place 😊”

About: Hi! I have been around animals, especially dogs, since I was a child, which helped me develop a deep love and comfort in caring for them. I currently have two miniature dogs who I absolutely adore and consider my babies. I provide a safe and loving environment with a large backyard where dogs can play and enjoy themselves. I also take regular walks as needed to make sure each dog gets the exercise and attention they require. I truly believe dogs are family members who deserve love, patience, and care. I always pay close attention to their emotions, routines, and comfort to ensure they feel safe and happy while in my care. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I currently work full-time, but I always make sure your dog’s needs are taken care of before I leave for work, including bathroom breaks, feeding, and attention. I return home around 5:30 PM on weekdays. On Fridays, I am home by 12:30 PM, and I am fully available on weekends. Your dog’s comfort and routine are very important to me, and I make sure they feel safe. My backyard is fully fenced, providing a safe and secure space for outdoor play. I also have two friendly miniature dogs Rosie and Luna which are Two years old and who can provide companionship if your dog is comfortable with other pets. If needed, I can safely crate or use a playpen to ensure your dog has a calm and secure space to relax. I always prioritize each dog’s comfort, safety, and individual needs.
“Awesome! Jean, is excellent! We left our 7-year-old Labradoodle for the first time with Jean for an extended weekend. She treated Simba as if he was her own dog and sent us pics of their wonderful time together multiple times a day. Simba loved it and felt at home. We are so glad we found Jean as she will be our go-to person moving forward.”

“Ekaterina and her family were amazing and so loving with Charlie. She was very communicative and gave us constant photo and video updates. Her kids were also wonderful with Charlie. We could tell Charlie had the best time because she seemed a little sad when she came back home. Highly recommend Ekaterina and will definitely book again in the future!”

Jenny and her husband were absolutely outstanding hosts for our dog while we were in the middle of moving. They were incredibly friendly, communicative, and kept us updated throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind during a hectic time. Their massive fenced-in yard was also perfect for our dog to run around and enjoy. We would book with them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
