About: I have had at least one dog my whole life. I have pet-sit and walked dogs of my friends and neighbors for many years, specifically older dogs, that require more patience. I am currently a student at App State, and I am in Boone for the summer. I would love to come walk and spend time with your animals! I am highly flexible and attentive to the specific needs of your pets. I have no pets while in Boone so your animals will be my only commitment.
About: I grew up with two dogs in my house, a pug and an English lab. I have extensive experience caring for animals and have cared for many pets for neighbors, friends, and family since I was in my teenage years. I am able to walk high energy dogs and have the flexibility with my schedule to spend 30 minutes to one-hour visits if needed. I just started a new job in Boone which means I have more flexibility in the spring/summer, less in the fall/winter. I can commit to short but frequent visits and/or longer drop ins that can include a walk and some play time. I am able to drive to your house and safely care for your animals. I grew up with animals and around animals making me comfortable with all breeds and temperaments. I am extremely detail oriented and have wide experience house sitting and dog/cat sitting. I enjoy getting animals outside for walks or taking them to a dog park for fresh air and new smells.

“Jessica is great. I have two cats and one of them is very shy and the other one is outgoing. They both loved her and I loved that in one of Jessica’s pictures. She actually got a picture of my shy cat rubbing up against her.😻 my cats are very good at judging good people”

About: “I’ve had dogs as companions since I was a child, and they’ve always been cherished members of my family. I treat every animal in my care like family, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away.” “Pet care is a natural part of my daily life, not just a job, but something I truly love. Living in the Appalachian mountains has taught me the value of a calm, grounded lifestyle, and I bring that same peaceful energy into the care I provide. I treat every pet like family and pay close attention to their unique personality and needs, whether they’re playful, shy, elderly, or needing extra comfort while you’re away. My goal is always to help pets feel safe, loved, and at home in my care.” “I care for every pet with the same attentiveness and love that I give my own children. “Savanna did a wonderful job taking care of our cat for two weeks. We really appreciated the photos and updates. Our apartment was tidy and our cat was happy and healthy when we returned. We would definitely rebook with Savanna and recommend her to friends and family.”

I can work with multiple cats, I can administer medication, and I have lots of patience and experience around cats and kittens. I have a flexible schedule and can come in early in the morning or late at night. I will always ensure that I can meet your pet's needs. I work part-time and I am a student during the year, but I am a very organized and efficient person. I plan accordingly and prioritize well. In my home, my pets get lots of attention. I know the importance of playing/engaging with cats and love to do so. I ensure appropriate amounts of food, water, and a clean litter box at every visit. I can let cats outside/walk them if that is something requested, and I am observant of cats' behaviors and body language.

“My family and I rented a house in the mountains and wanted to all go out for dinner but needed somebody to come in for a couple of hours and sit with our dog. Found Rachel she was a godsend! The whole transaction through Rover was fabulous. She was punctual, caring, loving, and above all actually brought homemade sourdough bread for us! I cannot recommend her enough. Thanks again, Rachel!”

About: I have been dog sitting since I was 14 for my neighbors, friends, and family. I have cared for a wide rage of small and large dogs- including energetic puppies and calm adult dogs. I try to stay active on a day to day basis so I am comfortable with daily walks of any duration! I am also comfortable with feeding, administering basic medications, and keeping pets on a consistent schedule to help them feel safe and relaxed. What makes me stand out as a sitter is my patience, reliability, and focus when I am completing a task. I’m mature, grounded, and able to adapt to whatever a situation requires. Above all, I will treat every dog how I would treat my own. Ensuring they're safe, happy, and cared for-whether I’m stopping in for a quick visit, walk, or staying for a few days. Pet care fits great into my daily and weekly routine. As a college student, this semester I only have 2 in person classes a week. I will also have a light schedule next semester as well. This gives me plenty of free time and flexibility. I have been looking for fun, meaningful daily work-and spending time with pets is something I would love to do! At home, I have a fenced in yard where my pets are able to roam around freely. I feed, play, and take care of my animals with diligence and would not hesitate to do the same with someone else’s. Although at school, I live in an apartment where I do not have pets. Whether I’m in my home or a client’s home, I’m attentive, responsible, and committed to providing comfortable space for any pet!
Boone dog parents share their Rover experiences
Caroline proactively set up a meet and greet with us prior to babysitting our puppy which gave us a lot of comfort leaving her our first time. I appreciate that she stayed longer than required to keep our puppy company I recommend Caroline. She’s a responsible and kind person.

Hayleigh has taken excellent care of our 2-month-old puppy several times. She takes extra time playing and walking with our baby. She communicates well and consistently. She even brought our mail and packages inside during her most recent visit. Highly recommend!

Stacy went above and beyond taking care of our pups and little extra things we didn’t ask for but certainly appreciated (like bringing our delieveries inside). I had the added benefit of having my husband actually being home to meet, greet and experience some of Stacy’s work in person, as he had to stay home to work while I went out of town. He had only wonderful things to say about Stacy. All I can say is: thank you!! ☺️

Ava was amazing with my two babies! We were just in town for the weekend for an.App State game and had an Airbnb. Her communication before/during/after was the best! She was so attentive and took great care of my old fella (almost 14) and my super needy hound dog mix. I wish she lived in my town and I would have her babysit more often ! I couldn't be happier or have asked for anyone better.
