“Emma did a really good job taking care of our three dogs! They were happy and healthy when we got home from our trip! She respected our home and left it the way she found it. She left good updates and took some cute pictures. Good job Emma!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have been dog-sitting since I was 13 years old. I also have experience caring for cats, as my boyfriend has a cat that I regularly look after. I’ve always been passionate about animals and truly enjoy providing them with attentive, loving care. I work part-time and am also a full-time student, but I have plenty of availability throughout the day as well as in the evenings. I’m flexible with scheduling and happy to work around your pet’s needs and routine! I’m very good at understanding and handling pets’ needs while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I provide attentive care, follow their routines, and make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, and supervision.
“This is the second time Angel has taken care of our cats and we are once again so appreciative! She takes wonderful care of our pets and we feel lucky to have found someone so reliable!”

About: In addition to taking care of my dog for the last eleven years, I also have experience watching family friends dogs when they are away for the night. Pet care isn’t apart of my daily routine as much when I’m at college, but when I’m at home I’m very diligent as I’m usually the only one home. With my own pets they are not with me at college, but when I am home I have to keep a close eye on my dog, Cleo, as she has some medical problems as a result of age now. So with her I’ll take her outside whenever she starts walking to the door, refill her water bowls, and heat her food that has to be homemade now. When I was dog sitting for the night, their dogs had a very specialized food plan and needed a lot of encouragement and patience when it came to feeding.
About: I have two family dogs of my own ages 8 and 7. Beyond caring for these two, I have walked a golden retriever occasionally for a while and assisted with neighbor care of other dogs. I am currently a full time employee, but beyond my work I am more than happy to come play and walk your fur baby! While I work a traditional 8-5, I am happy to come by on my lunch break and after work. I am happy to bring your dog around town for a good walk. I am also happy to just walk them in your neighborhood and play with your dog for extended time depending on the day of the week.

“Cali was wonderful! Timely responses to my texts, reliable, trustworthy, thoughtful. She was so good to my senior dog. I can tell he misses her already! We had wedding festivities all weekend and having Cali come stay with Fergus really gave me peace of mind. I highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve been very passionate about pet sitting since I was 14, caring for every type of pet from tiny fish to large dogs of all breeds and ages. Whether it’s keeping a senior dog comfortable, playing with an energetic kitten, or tending to a full fish tank, I love giving each pet the care and attention they need to feel safe and loved while their owners are away. Caring for my dog named Millie has made pet care an everyday part of my routine. From morning walks to playtime and feeding, I’ve learned how to keep a pet happy and healthy, and I bring that same love and attention to every pet I care for. At my home, I provide a safe, comfortable space for pets with a consistent routine of play, exercise, and meals while also ensuring that my dog and the dog I care for are comfortable together. For pet sitting in clients homes, I stick to their pets’ usual routines, offering the same care and attention to ensure they feel loved and secure while their owners are away.
About: I grew up on a farm and so I have been taking care of a variety of animals since I was a child. I’ve had many dogs and cats as well as other farm animals so I have a wide range of experiences. I am capable of both infant and senior animal care if needed as well. I am currently a student and working part time but I have lots of time before and after my classes and work to care for animals, I have a car and live close to the town center of Boone. I have my own cat who I take care of but I love to spend time with any animal I care for making sure they get enough socialization in addition to any feeding or cleaning they might need.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Boone
Cady was amazing! So communicative and they really went above and beyond to make sure they did everything they could to make my cats feel stimulated and well taken care of! I would absolutely book them again for future vacations I take. I can't recommend them enough!
Ella T was an amazing house sitter for our elderly cat, Lucy. She arrived right on time and spent plenty of quality time with our very affectionate tuxedo kitty. Ella kept us updated with lots of adorable photos of Lucy eating, playing, and of course, cuddling… Which is her favorite activity. I truly appreciate how responsible and trustworthy Ella was, especially with carrying for both Lucy and our home. I would gladly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, carrying an attentive pet sitter. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Boone. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
