About: I have been pet-sitting for many people in my neighborhood since I was 11. I love animals and providing a loving presence while their owners are away! I am a student at App State, and committed to my studies, but can certainly fit in time to take care of your furry ones. I’m usually in class until around 2, so my afternoons are pretty free! On the weekends I work part time in the evenings usually until 8 pm and can still come by afterwards. At my apartment I keep my cat, Lucy, inside. She’s fed twice a day and I clean out her litter box every day. My roommates all love her too. When I had dogs growing up, we had a fenced in backyard and loved taking them out on adventures and playing with them at home.

About: I've taken care of pets, ranging from puppies to senior dogs, for about a decade now. I have experience with walking and caring for dogs that have a wide range of needs. I am able to care for dogs that are not friendly with other dogs, dogs that love making friends with other dogs, dogs that have a bit of a rough past, dogs that pull, elderly or physically challenged dogs that can't walk for too long, and dogs that can walk for hours and hours. I love all cats, whether antisocial or absolutely crazy, or anything in between! About: My family has been fostering dogs since 2013! We have seen dogs of every kind come through! We currently have adopted 4 foster fails and are seeing one in hospice care! I have worked with scared/reactive dogs, pregnant, blind, deaf, special needs dogs, new born dogs, end of life care dogs, and so many more! I have administered medications, applied and changed wound care, changed diapers, and cleaned up more dogs than I can count! I am ready and equipped with the knowledge to handle any situation! About: I have been living in Boone, NC since 2000. I am a graduate of (ABC) Animal Behavior College's Dog Obedience Instructor Program, and I am now offering my services of dog dog walking & drop-ins with options for basic obedience training. ABC Dog Trainer Program is approved by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors (NADOI). I originally came to Boone to attend Appalachian State University, where I received my BFA in Graphic Design in 2004, pursuing that career full-time for 15 years, before expanding my horizons to various other fields including event management, administrative work, and dog training. My flexible schedule allows for day or night dog walking/sitting, weekdays and weekends. *IF THERE IS A DATE THAT IS LISTED AS UNAVAILABLE THAT YOU NEED PET CARE, PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE. SOMETIMES I AM AVAILABLE FOR A PORTION OF THE DAY, EVEN IF I THE CALENDAR SAYS UNAVAILABLE.* I currently work from home, and I have a very flexible schedule. Generally I am available, with the exception of the month of May, as well as mid-August through mid-September, although this schedule may vary from year-to-year. I typically accept up to two to three dogs at a time for walking/sitting. When not under supervision, or at night, I require that dogs in my care must be boarded in crates. Crate time is kept to a minimum, and is solely used for the safety of the dog. Enrichment time is provided at intervals throughout the day in the form of walks, play time, optional training sessions, and more. Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccines or titers results. I generally request meeting the owners with their dogs before the first time dog sitting.

About: I have grown up taking care of many different dogs in all shapes and sizes! I used to walk my neighbors’ dogs when I was a kid, and the past couple years I have loved going to the Watauga Humane Society to take some shelter dogs on walks. I have my own dog that has very specific needs so I am also accustomed to more high maintenance pups. I love meeting new friendly dogs and have experience caring for young puppies, more senior dogs, and everything in between! I currently work part time and am available four days of the week! I can do mid-morning through evenings Sunday-Wednesday. I can do drop-in visits as well as dog walks! I have one dog and two cats at home! All my animals have free rein of the house, and one of my cats is an escape artist so I am always watchful of doors in case he decides to make a run for it. All of the animals are indoor only, with my dog going outside to play and use the bathroom regularly.

About: I grew up with dogs of my own and now that I am grown I care for siblings dogs (my dog nieces😊) while they’re traveling. Additionally, I have taken care of two dogs in my neighborhood for about 3 years now, taking them on walks, feeding them, and occasionally staying the night with them while their owners work long hours. I truly love to be with and care for animals, but since I’m in college I don’t want to have one of my own just yet. I value people’s trust in me with their beloved dogs, and it would be an honor to care for yours!! I am in college at Appalachian State University and I am a barista on the side. I have availability during the mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on your needs. I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule to work with what’s best for your dog! I live in an apartment with no animals so there would be no worries of interactions with other dogs or any other animals needing my attention besides yours. As far as walking, I value your dog’s safety and am very capable of keeping your dog safe from all potential hazards on a walk like other reactive dogs we might pass. I am happy to do what best fits your dogs energy level, and can run with high energy dogs or have a nice leisurely walk with more relaxed dogs:)

About: Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here. Growing up in a home full of animals — 5 dogs, 2 cats, and even a rescued possum! — it’s no surprise that caring for pets has been a lifelong passion of mine. Over the years, as our beloved pets crossed the rainbow bridge, I found myself naturally stepping into the role of pet sitter for friends and family. Whether it's walks, potty breaks, baths, or just giving animals the love and attention they deserve, I’ve always been happiest when surrounded by furry friends. I also spent 2 years working at an animal hospital as both a receptionist and a doggy daycare attendant, which gave me hands-on experience with animals of all temperaments and needs. Thanks to that role and my general medical knowledge, I’m comfortable giving oral medications, managing special care needs like diapers, and helping pets stay clean and healthy. I don’t administer shots, like insulin, but I’m happy to work with most other non-invasive medical needs. Currently, I occasionally care for a wide variety of pets, including a household with 5 cats, another with 2 giant English Mastiffs, 3 small dogs, 3 hairless cats, and a revolving crew of beloved barn cats. At home, I have my own mischievous (and affectionate) 2 year old cat named Sterling, affectionately known as “Stinky.” He keeps me on my toes and reminds me daily how unique every animal’s personality can be. He drinks from a filtered stainless steel fountain with a breath-freshening additive, enjoys silvervine sticks for dental health, and eats 1/4th cup mix of special diet and freeze dried food 2x daily, rehydrated with warm water. He also gets daily playtime and has cozy spots in every room. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely and I bring the same level of attention. Whether it's feeding, playtime, potty breaks, or giving medication, I adjust my care to each pet's unique needs to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved.
