About: I adopted my first dog, Chilli, in 2001. Since then, I’ve had the joy of rescuing and raising Ruby, Beatrice, and Porkchop. These days, our dog Lucy shares our home, and we both love welcoming new friends for visits! We have a fully fenced backyard, plenty of space for playing, napping, and cuddling, and we’re located in a great neighborhood for long, leisurely walks. I also enjoy taking photos and am happy to send you updates as often (or as little) as you’d like. Schedule a meet-and-greet with Lucy and me—we can’t wait to meet you! On the days I work from home and on weekends, we would love to have a dog-friend join us for the day, or for an overnight. If we’re somewhat neighbors, I am also available for walks over the weekend and possibly on weeknight(s). I have a fenced-in yard, home security, smoke and CO alarm. I do not crate our dog Lucy, but if you need me to do so for your dog, consider it done! I walk her in her harness around safe neighborhoods like Oak Hill in Pawtucket and on the East Side of Providence. I have recently lost my sweet pup and miss spoiling her with belly rubs and long walks. It would be my pleasure to be able to care for your dog in my home. My schedule allows me to walk your dog several times a day, give plenty of potty breaks and give hundreds of belly rubs as my job is 100% remote. “Ben is one of those people that animals instantly trust. When he met my childhood cat, who usually hides from new people, I was shocked that she immediately greeted him and let him pet her! Likewise, I’ve heard multiple people express surprise when their dogs or cats seek out Ben, saying that they’re not used to their pets being so instantly relaxed. Ben also rescued two feral cats several years ago. These poor kitties were initially terrified of toys and human contact. With lots of love, patience, and consistency from Ben, I’ve seen these cats transform into playful and snuggly love bugs! Again and again, Ben wins over animals with his kindness and respectful nature. Ben is very responsible, making him the perfect person to diligently follow whatever instructions you leave him. For example, Ben uses both phone alarms and calendar events to ensure that he administers medicines to pets exactly as prescribed. He also goes above and beyond to care for pets - for instance, when he noticed that one of his cats was rather clumsy, he rearranged his furniture to help protect his kitty from falling. TLDR; I could go on and on, but Ben is the perfect fellow pet parent to take care of your fur babies! He’s organized, trustworthy, and an all-around kind person who genuinely loves animals.”

Melissa took care of my kitties like they were her own and I am beyond impressed and grateful to her level of dedication and support. When my Ollie experienced a severe medical issue, Melissa was able to remain calm, contact me, follow instructions to provide life saving care, and swiftly transport him to the emergency vet. Melissa kept me informed the entire time and stayed with Ollie until he was fully within the care of the ER vet and a plan of action had been decided upon. Melissa then proceeded to return to my home to take care of my other cat and cleanup after the incident.
