About: We love welcoming new friends for visits. We have a fully fenced backyard, plenty of space for playing, swimming in the puppy pool, napping, and cuddling. We’re located in a neighborhood made for long, leisurely walks. I also enjoy taking photos and am happy to send you updates as often (or as little) as you’d like. Schedule a meet-and-greet with us! We can’t wait to meet you! On the days I work from home and on weekends, we would love to have a dog-friend join us for the day, or for an overnight. About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

I’ve stayed at neighbors houses to watch their dogs since high school, providing regular walks, enrichment, and love. I’ve worked with puppies as young as 10 weeks and dogs as old as 12 years. I’ve worked with pets with special needs and medication needs. Most importantly, I truly love animals. As my sister’s weenie dog puppy can attest, nothing makes me happier than having an animal curled up on my lap. Even if it means dealing with some scratches or disciplining, being around pets is always worth it! As a student, my schedule is super flexible. I’m happy to take care of pets whenever I can. I love early morning walks, so I’m available as early as 7:30 am. My house requires getting up a few flights of stairs, so large senior pups may struggle. Otherwise, any animals are welcome. I’m happy to stay at other folks’ homes as I know this often makes animals more comfortable. I’m flexible to whatever your house rules are!

About: We both have experience living with animals. Mary grew up and lived on a farm with many cats and dogs, as well as worked in a pet store on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts. Nick grew up owning fish, dogs, cats, and a number of hamsters and gerbils. We both love animals and want to make sure they aren't only taken care of, but also happy. We are living on the east side of Providence right now. We can book overnights stays, walks midday, or host for a fun/quiet night. . During those stays we will be able to take care of the animals at all times and accommodate them properly. We both currently work in the city but have flexible times during the day and weekends. We take them on plenty of walks and make sure they get to move throughout the day. Playtime is super important for most animals, not just taking them on a daily walk. We treat out clients animals as if they were our own. Regular/routine feeding times, outdoor activity, and plenty of love and care.

“Gary was fantastic. I had another sitter back out at the last minute, for the holiday weekend, and right when everyone is all of a sudden traveling again, and I was panicking. I’d also never left our furson with someone I didn’t know before. Gary was super calm, and put me at ease to leave Bosun with him, he was very communicative, and I never had to worry while we were gone, and was able to just enjoy our trip. Bosun, is a sweet boy, but is an intact male, which I know can be a lot to handle if you aren’t firm with him; both Gary and his sweet furson Amigo were patient with him, and able to tire him out enough to behave. I highly recommend Gary, and would have him pup sit anytime we are in the area again.”
